It's was never about the ethnicity of the people coming into the country but the quantity and quality of those immigrants. We all see it everyday, you see the majority of these new immigrants as uber drivers and/or food delivery or some minimum wage job. I have a lot of 1st gen indo-canadian friends and even they admit that this uncontrolled immigration is hurting their image

As a indo-canadian born here something needs to be done. We need to make More noise. We all need to pressure the government more and get them to change the rules now and not slowly 😢.

I am an Indo-canadian who migrated from UAE 2 decades ago. Came thro proper channel of PR and became a citizen 4 yrs later. Qualified as a CPA burning the midnight oil, raised 2 kids thro Univ who are employed now. Trudeau, to be in power, joined hands with Jagmeet Singh. I know of a 2 shutter shop in Brampton East, registered as a college, which issued 4000 student visas. I wonder whether the Immigration dept checked on the college before issuing the visas. Now, we have students, whose visas have expired, whose families in India have mortgaged everything (primarily from Punjab, Haryana & Gujarat) who are here working for cash. I think we must revisit the files, track them out, see their educational background and give them opportunites. Indian origin folks must also educate their families back home on reality. With a growth rate of 7% + India is the country to be in, for these youngsters, to grow in life

It's not personal, but it's becoming a form of activism. We need millions to leave and the Indo-Canadian population to shrink. It doesn't matter how it happens, it just has to happen.

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. I'm Indo-Canadian, and I want you out to. It used to be quality immigrants from India. The US now is taking them all (top CEOs, entrepreneurs, researchers and scientists there are of Indian origin if they aren't Chinese). But in Canada we're opening the doors to the worst of India - Sikhs and Sikhism (fanatical bearded towel heads). You won't be happy here eating crap from food banks and living crammed in small flats. I blame Trudeau and his plan for more Sikhs and having them throughout the government agencies including police and defense, a severe terror risk to both nations.

The numbers of Indians coming here is ridiculous. I blame the Liberal Government, whose propping up a failing economic policy artificially by increasing population. But I also have to wonder, the Indians I know are slavishly trading info on their silly Zuckerberg app, do they not realize how expensive its become in Canada? I am a born and raised Canadian. My family is from India. There are SOO many hard working and honest Indo-Canadians. But some bad apples ruin it for the bunch. Canadian values still matter a lot to us - please keep this in mind.

I was expecting this video to show Indo-Canadians in a bad light. But it showed the exact opposite. As the journalist mentioned: White Bramptonians were mostly homeless and drug addicted and old. While the Indo-Canadian population was young, educated, well adjusted, optimistic, and temple going believers in God while having good family values

Now imagine being an indo-canadian. We are basically Alienated on all sides. \n\nThe whites think we are new immigrants and the Indians think we are white washed ?

Most of the Indians who work in Tim Hortons are family members of the owner, and there is nothing wrong with that, they keep the money in the family, and Indo-Canadians work there asses off. And not to mention Indian students pay a lot more money to goto school here in Canada and they become succcesfull. Get you facts right go out there and talks to some of these workers.

The 5th estate should report on the many Indian immigrant workers who are exploited by Indo-Canadian employers who take advantage of Canadian programs that provide grants to bring workers over but that take that money and then turn around and exploit the workers, marking them pay off “debts” to their employees, pay rent to their employers, and the people who endure this for a chance at becoming a Canadian citizen.
