Could Canada Win a Trade War?\n Trump has waged Economic War on Canada in order to bring us to our knees so that we will eventually capitulate to become the 51st state.\n\n Had he come in a nice way, as a friend verses a foe, he would have had a lot more interest, especially from Alberta. \n\n Now that we are here, the question has to be asked, can we actually win a trade war that has probably been extensively war-gamed by the U.S.?\n\n Our politicians want us to go toe to toe with a 900 lb gorilla. The U.S. economy is at least 10 times our size and are less dependent on our trade than we are. We may give them a black eye but they could rip our arms and legs off. \n\n Retaliatory tariffs play into their hands. It’s the perfect excuse to increase the tax to 50 or 100%. So will we do the same? This would devastate us, achieving their goals.\n\n Canadians are already fighting back without the government making things worse. People are boycotting U.S. goods en masse and cancelling travel plans, etc. and this is already having a strong effect.\n\n Some say turn off the electricity and oil, but who will pay price? It will be the businesses and employees, not the politicians who are now trying to act tough. If we want this to turn into a real kinetic war, then turning off the taps may do it. \n\n We have seen countless times where politicians tell us what we want to hear, making us think they are heading is a certain direction, only to find they do the exact opposite. This proves you can not believe what career politicians say and have to go by what they do, or don’t do, instead. Yet now, they confidently declare that Canada will never become the 51st state. This should raise eyebrows. \n\n Almost all of the MPs and Premiers are unanimous in entering into a trade war we can not win. After tariffs go ballistic, our dollar drops to .35 cents, and we get utterly crushed, I can see them say, “in order to save what’s left of our economy and society we must reluctantly join the U.S. or face certain destruction”. \n\n Not only would the decades old goal of a North American Union be accomplished, but we would take a large step towards the video statement that the World Economic Forum - WEF posted on their website. “By 2030, you will own nothing and be happy”. \n\n The WEF is working with the UN to achieve their Agenda 2030 goals and is what Pierre Poilievre and the “Conservatives” signed Canada onto Sept. 27, 2015. It all relates to Corporate Income taxes. It's about transfer pricing where they pay no Corporate income taxes in US.\nTransfer pricing For example:\nApple iPhone manufacture an iPhone in China for $300. They sell it to an Apple subsidiary call it Apple international located in a low tax or no tax domicile for $300. So No income tax. Say they sell it to Apple USA for $700 . No taxes owed by Apple international . Apple USA sells it in US for $700. Bought it for $700 = no taxes owed. BUT APPLE CLEARED $400 CASH. \nThat's with no tariffs. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

I believe that the ultimate wet dream of Trump is to have a bigger nation ie. performing hostile takeovers of neighboring countries and of strategic importance for him (Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal and others). For that to function, he has agreed with his best buddy Putin to allow him his share of the Europian countries. China will probable be on the same hostile takeover trip all over the pacific as well. He and Putin think that they will loose out against China otherwise. What the poor man doesn't realise is that the community of the UN were and are the best deterence against China. His willingness to break that up will actually lead to a very big world dominating conflict. The clear thinking US politicians need to act quickly before more damage is done to the American people and country. He is on the path of destroying vital friendships to pay for his sick qunon infested mind...(eating cats and dogs....say no more)

We each have our little flickers of time here... No one else will ever know much, if any, of what it is like to be who we are, and for the most part no one will ever really care. Our life is ultimately our life, and so long as we are not harming others in the process we must create a life of our own meaning, determining our own objects of importance and committing to their pursuance. Throughout our life we are faced with serious decisions about what we believe, who we are, and what we do, and mostly none of it is self evident. If we look we can always find a reason to regret any decision we make, move or stay, agree or disagree, take the job or quit, marry or divorce, live one path or another... In all cases whatever the choice may be, we will only know the outcome of the one we take, and none we take will ever ultimately resolve the uncertainty of life. However, perhaps it is less about getting a potential course of life right, and more about attempting to do so with an effort of self honesty and virtue. To live a life that can be looked back on with the knowledge that some of our decisions were wrong in their effects, but right in their intention of not selling ourselves short. Ultimately no matter what we do or say or believe, there will always be a great many who disagree, or judge, or become upset by our decisions. It is of essential importance that we ensure that among those people, we are not one of them.

The government of Canada is the ultimate racist, tricking people from poor countries into believing that they'll get things that they simply won't if they get into Canada by any means necessary. And then they are stuck here as the new indentured servants.

I totally agree that this country will break your spine and test your ultimate willpower. Me and my wife came here 5 years back and we decided that we will shut ourselves like a tortoise. Forget about savings and forget about everything else. Only and only one goal we had in mind is that we will live in the basement and earn top dollars. Just to give you a perspective. My first pay was 19 dollar per hour and my current pay is 87 per hour. My wife started with 16.5 per hour and now earning 69 per hour. Even though our income grew substantially, we never raised our expenses. Answer to all problems in Canada is income. Now after 5 years we bought house worth of 1.4 M. We moved out of basement and felt immense pride. We paid 37% down payment and 3 banks approved our mortgages in a heartbeat. No debt at all. We paid up our car in full. Just a regular new suv nothing fancy. \nEveryone is different, we all are unique and I believe you took a right decision. Each and every word you said in the video is true. \nWe cried , we fought , we felt that our life is ruined but we both thought that ek bar to Canada ko harana hai. I've also lived in Vancouver for 3 years, Toronto for 5 years, returned to Montreal for another 3 years, and have now been in Quebec City for 15 years.\n\nAs a Quebec City resident and business owner, I find the city amazing. During the pandemic, there were many programs and subsidies available. I even wrote to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the CEBA program for businesses, suggesting some changes to the eligibility criteria. They followed through, and Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau sent a detailed response, signed by him but likely written by his staff, explaining the revised criteria and suggesting other potential programs. Provincially, my MP's staff guided me through various programs. Ultimately, I received nearly everything I needed to survive and potentially thrive through the pandemic (to be confirmed in 2024).\n\nTaxes are high, but I feel safe in Quebec City. Crime rates are low, and I've experienced little racism, possibly due to my fluency in French. Starting a business here has been easy, with minimal costs and bureaucracy.\n\nAs a gay man, I've never felt endangered. I can comfortably express affection for my spouse in public without feeling judged.\n\nHealthcare, including access to medication and doctor consultations, is extremely affordable. Super Clinics offer next-day appointments at no cost.\n\nI own a commercial condo for my business, which cost significantly less than it would have in Toronto or Vancouver. My rent for a one-bedroom apartment is CAD 755, and electricity bills are remarkably low.\n\nWith the shift to online business, I've accessed international markets while benefiting from a low-cost, safe environment. I received a CAD 2400 subsidy from the Canada Digital Adoption Program, among other government-funded programs, to expand internationally.\n\nAlthough homelessness exists in Quebec City, many supportive programs are available, and most homeless individuals here are polite, likely because they face less stigma.\n\nI believe it's crucial to explore different locations when moving to Canada. I believe it’s time to take the foot off the immigration pedal. The numbers are wayyyy too high and we are starting to have serious difficulties in integrating the numbers that are coming to our shores as witnessed by ghettoization and rising crime numbers in communities. The immigration numbers are having a disastrous effect on the housing market for both established Canadians and immigrants. The high numbers are also putting unprecedented pressure on our healthcare regime which was not designed to serve the increasing numbers. What I find extremely difficult to understand is our inability to take care of our First Nations population by providing them with more opportunities, better housing and clean drinking water, yet invite people to our land who have tenuous and transient loyalties to the nation. Ultimately we arent doing immigrants any favours by inviting them to a nation that’s finding it increasingly difficult to get its act together.

This is one of the reasons Joe Biden and his administration are so disgusting. I feel as though too often are the issues that occur within the hispanic communities, or involve Hispanics, gets pushed under the rug. Wow, I’ve learned a lot about Canada that I didn’t know and I’ve visited Vancouver for one day while vacationing in Seattle WA 20+ years ago. One day most certainly isn’t enough time to get the feel of a place and most definitely not when considering to relocate. I’ve learned not to consider any place for relocation that I couldn’t visit beforehand like I did before relocating to the west coast from the east coast: the world was a friendlier place believe it or not than it is now. ?\n\nConversely, things definitely change over time especially when you’re younger, but I can attest without reservation that people ultimately make a place period: unless you’re a hermit.
