I don't know how every day Canadians are expected to fix this mess when our wealthy, well connected ppl can't. Based on the last two elections - voting isn’t going to fix it either when elections are being rigged and infringed upon. I love my Country but I would welcome being the 51 st state right now because I am so discouraged and see no hope or change on the horizon.

They keep talking about losing a huge part of the workforce with mass deportations. So Americans aren’t looking for work? I’ve worked for Amazon for 3 and a half years now. I transferred from Va back home to ny last October. In va Americans are being hired. In ny Amazon is literally hiring nothing but Haitians. We hire a hundred and twenty people every year between July and January for prime and peek. I promise you without any iota of exaggeration, every last new hire is Haitian. I know of plenty of ppl who have applied to no avail. They really need to say if you’re American don’t apply. They get tax credits for hiring them. And because of this they do little to no work because they know nothing will happen to them. So all of the work falls on us . Out of the 120 new hires this year and last year 115 are under 27. They try to alienate us , intimidate us,and are extremely rude to anyone who isn’t Haitian. These are young people who are on straight gang time. I’m a black man telling you this and I’m from the street. It took me 6 years to finally make 20 dollars an hr, they come right over making the same as me while I’m working harder to accommodate their lack of productivity and at the same time hope I don’t lose my job for standing up to their rudeness and intimidation tactics. But the media will have ppl convinced that these are hard working meek and humble ppl just trying to make a better life for them and their families. I’m 45 years old and every year of my life we have always had a block party every summers end . For the last three years none. Because my neighborhood has been inundated with migrants who don’t care to assimilate.

I find it hard to feel any sympathy. I know several young ppl who couldn’t get summer jobs because the Indians get them all. Universities are just a money making business these days. Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. It wasn’t like this ever before. I’m Canadian, my parents didn’t have $28k to give me to go to university. So I’m sorry these ppl think that going to school in Canada is some magic ticket to a successful career making great money, but why should Canadians feel bad for these ppl? The government is doing it on purpose. Too many canadians sick of slaving away to make theives and liars rich. Being paid less than they deserve only to spend their entire life working and living a low quality life. Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Consider how many rich people get to jump in line or border patrol on both sides being able to keep out legal crossings if you can’t pay their fees. I was a student in Canada and seen this first hand. Students packed in rooms and colleges cancelling semesters for new students. This is all true. Even the best colleges do that. If BW could see just how Americanized we are we wouldn't keep traveling to these countries and ending up getting murdered there. Maybe Spaniards and Mexicans think that BW are flaunting American wealth so they want a piece of that success. Nothing really wrong with that but there's a process to get in the US. Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. There is no false hope. Also Vancouver is literally the worst place for an immigrant/ refugee to start their lives; way too expensive.

Wow I never knew of Canada's prejudices. I encounter a lot of Toronto ppl in NYC that I'm not keen on but their personalities just remind me of folks you encounter on the upper Eastside. I have southern roots (SC and MS) and have grown up in Missouri most my life so I know racism. I would hope it couldn't be worse than that in Canada, as I still do want to visit one day soon.
