First of all why is she asking people this? As a leader she should know the issues, and have the answers. Obviously she does not know, and should not be the leader/Premier. So she wants to wait another year to have a survey, and then start working on things? That sounds insane to me. With $60 oil, Danielle states Alberta's debt will skyrocket. Oil is heading to $40 per barrel. That's $50 billion dollars more debt PER YEAR than in 2024. When you add on the costs to finance that , you are looking at maybe $70 Billion deficit per year very soon. That is unstainable for such a small population. Then the separatists want to ad at least a trillion dollar loan, to leave Canada and service that debt. Where is all this massive wealth the separatist spew? Then she wants to wait another year for the people to tell her what to do about it. She is totally insane. Danielle, the worst Premiere in Alberta's history. Another survey, and another year wasted while nothing get's done? Please stop blaming everyone else for Alberta's problems. It is getting tiring. Danielle never says much that is correct. Like her ridiculous CPP rebate cheque. The way she calculated that was totally insane. Today she stated Ai would save Alberta's economy. She may not know it but Ai makes almost no jobs. It also needs massive energy and a good power grid, and Alberta's is ancient. That's why she is just a small time TV show host. Alberta's problems is as always, due to a bad Premiere, and she is the worst of them all. Dec 2025 Employment Insurance Recipients 67,520 UP 21.9% y/y Q3 2025 Net Migration 5,849 Down -86.2% y/y Dec 2025 International Merchandise Exports $15.6B Down -7.4% y/y Where do you see this massive wealth with $40 oil on it's way? Danielle states every 1 dollar the oil goes down equals a Billon dollar deficit. Rath uses $90 per barrel for his insane figures. 2025 prices averaged in high 60's. In the mid 50's now, and almost every oil agency in the world states it will settle around $40. If you add 20 or $30 billion more debt to Alberta's deficit per year, Alberta will die a very fast death. Add on a one trillion dollar loan, and the other costs to pay out Canada. Then add on all the new federal costs Alberta will have to assume. LNG will be over as BC/Canada will never let Alberta use it's plants, ports, and infrastructure to compete with themselves. If Canada does let a a new Alberta use it's existing pipelines, of course they will not subsidize them any more. They will expect to make a profit from them. So let's say they add on $5.00 more per barrel. Using Danielle's math that would add another $5 Billion annually to Alberta's skyrocketing debt every year. Can you explain to me where all this massive wealth that Rath and Wilson preach? Of course there are many other issues like business/jobs leaving. Equalization payments are not really and issue as oil plummets, especially with no LNG Equalization is based on high earnings, as Albertans make more money than everywhere else. If there are no jobs, Alberta may again start to get payments back even. Trump thinks Alberta oil will be good for USA reserves so he can just shut that down for 100 years, so what will that do to Alberta jobs , and deficit. If you ask people how they feel about Rath and Wilson begging for a trillion dollar loan...secured by Alberta's resources... "just to get started" , I wonder what they will say. She thinks Ai will save Alberta LOL AI needs massive cheap energy, and an up to date power grid.. Not strong points for Alberta with an ancient power grid. Ai also produces no jobs. Given the shape of Alberta, thanks to Danielle, I don't think equalization payments will be an issue, going forward. With $40 oil on it's way, Alberta may start getting payments. LNG will be over as BC/Canada will never let Alberta use it's plants, ports, and infrastructure to compete with themselves. If Canada does let a a new Alberta use it's existing pipelines, of course they will not subsidize them any more. They will expect to make a profit from them. I became homeless after spending over 2 months in the ICU of a Toronto hospital barely walking in was taken to a Toronto city shelter and for 5 years I've been in 5 different Toronto shelters in what seemed like a blink of a eye every shelter became 80% north African Muslim men ,they were given cash allowances to buy their own food $80 a day plus welfare cheques once a month boosted up with TTC allowance $157 clothing allowances and yes they were all given money to buy laptops and smart phones apparently so they can keep in touch with their families back in Africa, in the last shelter I stayed in there was only 6 white Canadian born homeless people living there and 94 north Africans whom we started to notice were being housed only to have the next one take up their cott space housed yes and when we started looking into how they were getting housed so fast when we were apparently on a 37,000 name waiting list for housing with our housing workers telling us it will take 10 years if we are lucky then we found out about the secret housing program that these fresh off the boat immigrants were getting market value apartments of their choice you pick the government pays one African we befriended ( he wasn't a believer in Islam shush or they'll kill him) got a 1 bedroom condo apartment over looking Toronto's Island airport $2,700 a month and the government payed for all his furnishings, so now we knew and we approached the on site housing workers asking why we weren't told about COHB at first they tried to deny it existed but researching we had all the information first these COHB forms were to be handed out to those with seniority length of stay so as to cut out on abuse being that they are worth over $250,000 after ten years of paying your rent as in free housing for life , then we discovered the staff were making false entries on our files claiming some of us lost our seniority for fighting claiming we were kicked out for 14 days others for smoking violations what they didn't think we knew was on admission to any shelter you sign a agreement that they are videoing you and keeping a file on you that also stated we are allowed to have up to date copies of our files then during the 2 weeks we were supposedly kicked out we asked for the videos from that period once they realized we had a advocate working for us who a l so supplies lawyers to us should we need so they got caught then management called us all up for a meeting and that's when we hit him with a bombshell yes the shelters are staffed with immigrants from the same African countries this Hoard is coming from and we have a sworn statement saying they are charging $10,000 for these guaranteed housing forms yes $10,000 that's what our none Muslim African shelter friend payed for his form and why he's now living free in easily close to a million dollar condo and believe me the cars parked there show it, ok so after we busted them guess what 6 whites who were all born in Canada and have lived a average of 3.5 years in a shelter all got housed in apartments of our choosing mind we did get ours fully furnished by the government like all these illegal Christian hating islamists get free housing free food free clothing free medical free dental free prescription drugs and a free huge monthly welfare cheque Rebel news please contact us we want every Canadian to know what's going on and how we Canadians are being left out, p.s just go to any money transfer business at the end of the month and you'll see line ups of these north Africans wiring money back to their wives and families even boxing up all the mountains of free clothing sending it to Africa same what they're doing with all the prescription drugs they are getting for free everything is about making money taking taking taking not putting anything back , now I sleep soundly no one stealing my belongings no more catching a different cold every week no more being called a filthy infidel which seems to be their favorite word COHB look that up and if your living paycheck to paycheck working 2 jobs just get to a shelter say one with 94 Africans who will all be housed shortly leaving you the most seniority easy peasy but remember to keep a eye on your file for false entries or borrow $10,000 to buy one

Who benefits from this? him! he gets to blame Canada when American prices go up and his supporters will not need or want to hear the truth, they'll be willfully ignorant. If he genuinly admires Putin he'd love nothing more than a Belarus of his own to compare notes with at their little bromance dates! Sad thing is im not trying to make any kind of joke, i really believe he would love that\n\nI'm in UK. Stay strong Canada we love you. Swapping OUT any US products i Possibly can (family too). Also going to look for and swap IN any Canadian produts we can \n\ni cant find emoji flag on this keyboard but imagine Many Canadian flags, hearts a Welsh flag a Union Jack and even more Canadian

For your information Trudeau resigned as the Prime Minister of Canada. Canadians are waiting for a federal election date to be announced. After 9 years Canadians overwhelmingly want rid of this fool. Our economy is in ruins long before the American people elected Donald Trump

My daughter went to WestPoint, got top grades in geophysics, did two tours of duty in Iraq. And she changed her gender to male . He isn’t interested in dating anyone, he just wants to do a good job in the reserves. He is a major now….was that all for nothing? Trumps hate and paranoia is ruining this country.

The Trump administration is trying to pass a bill through congress to stop this migration but now some Republicans as well as Democrats are trying to water down this bill for it to say state and local law enforcement have no authority to stop this. And worse at a later date immigrants can come back? Worse these tradors working for our government want to Rubber Stamp this bill in the Presidents name if it passes. Do Not say yes to this crooked bill.

I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking - but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I presume those countries which has slightly stronger passport than India has populations which are a tiny fraction of those wanting to travel with an Indian passport.
2025-01-16 0
These requirements by other countries are absolutely justified. They want you should come as visitors, have enough funds to cover your expenses and on due date go back to your country. \nNothing wrong in it.\nIndia should follow such standards before issuing visas.

Liberal government even want to change date of election in order to not disturb celebration of indian holiday.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

Indian students & tfw had brought economic prosperity to these Anglo Saxon countries, but the white population could not stand seeing so many brown people in their streets, universities, restaurants and dating their daughters. They are too preoccupied with racist untrue theories about demographics replacement! If these countries wanted to kicked out Indians out, they’ll be surprised to see their country go broke.

Sorry but Germany is a completely unfriendly country for immigrants. They do not even allow you to use your own driving licence and require you to apply for a new one like you are 17 years old. They don't trust you! \n\nYou then start your driving license process but they cannot arrange an exam date for you, because they lack examiners. They allow you to apply to a driving school in your own neighborhood only and you cannot apply to another one even in the next neighborhood a few kilometers away from your home. So if you live in the city center you are dead, you cannot find an empty exam slot. This is my second year in Germany, the officers and my driving schools have made 2 mistakes and 1 cancellation throughout my process and I could not have my practical exam yet after 10 months of endeavour. If I fail I should wait for another 3 months to find a new exam date! This is insane. \n\nSorry but how dare you can steal my so precious time? If you want skilled workers you should treat them as skilled workers not as 17 years old teens.

Damage is already done, only announcement I want to hear is a federal election date called. This stupidity of mass immigration is nothing more to drive down wages for the mega corporations in Canada

The immigration is ruining peaceful country’s with crime ,they are devastating our schools ,hospitals, also devastating country’s finance ,these people expect free housing etc, there are not enough jobs ,uk is full, they are attacking citerzens ,there religion does not mesh with western ways, enough is enough .we worked hard to make our country’s for our own people ,not because of there never ending religious conflicts that date back over a 2000 years,we want no part of their mess

Allow a 75 year old to advise you. 1. Listen to advice. At 33 we have often had a lot of experience and therefore confidence. However developing perspective that is really relevant takes a long time. 2. I notice some people who are commenting recommend Malaysia. They are correct.\nProbably at your age the digital nomad visa is easiest in the first instance. 3. I am familiar with Canada, US, and several other countries. I am Australian and have been retired in north Thailand for 16 years. Am happy here but will be moving to Malaysia shortly. 4. Space does not allow me to list all the reasons for giving you this advice. Understand that if you live there, moving on to Singapore for a more dynamic business environment. 5. The downside for you may be the full-time hot and humid weather. In addition the dating scene may be unsatisfactory, at least initially. I started this comment before I realised you had already selected a country, but am sending it anyway. It is unlikely you will want y ask me anything, but feel free if you do. Best wishes.

Back in 1998 I was laid off and waiting for U.I/E.I to kick in and send a cheque and was 2 months behind on rent, they had me in L/T Tribunal Court at St Clair/Yonge before my 1st cheque was mailed, I wasn't kicked out but had to agree to pay my full rent on the 1st from that point and $200 each month on the 15th til I caught up on arrears (took 1 year) if I had been late once on either date they could have re opened the L/T Tribunal case and kicked me out. If I couldn't have paid I would have moved out, that's the difference between those born before 1990 and after, morals and having a conscience, lacking in most Millennials and Z's because X mothers didn't want to discipline their 90s babies or make them responsible adults.

In Manitoba it’s a little bit easier but the RTB is such a drawn out process. \n\nYou need to have justifying grounds. Easy. They didn’t pay. You have to serve them their termination, with a minimum of five business days to vacate. This is where it gets tricky. You have to attempt at least 3 times on different dates at different times of the day. Usually around 7:00 AM, Noon, around 7:00 PM. If that fails. You have to pay to be allowed to post the notice on the door. After that you have declare they’ve been served. Then book a hearing which can take a month or more. At the hearing which can take hours or minutes depending on how well prepared you are, or how much the tenant wants to argue. \n\nOnce the hearing is concluded. It can take 1-2 weeks to get the final decision. If they’re told to vacate. They usually have 5 business days before you can involve law enforcement. Which then takes another week for them to show up. Finally the landlord can change the locks. \n\nExcept, the tenant can then file an appeal. And take the landlord back into a hearing which can take another month. If the tenant fails to change the verdict it’s final. Then you need permission from the RTB to send them to collections, which can then take months if ever, to get the money back.

Bro, I'm living in Vancouver from last year. Took 40 Lakhs of Loan for My MBA, chipped in money for fees. Till date I've got no benefit from Canada, except for bills and spending money on taxes and rent. This is damn true! - Work permits are getting queries, PR files are getting rejection. No job part time opportunities.\n\n1. Renting a room, especially for boys is the hardest if you are looking a private room. (my rent is 950$ for a private room, i struggle to pay this every month - without having a job)\n2. All banks want you to get enrolled as a student, then give credit cards, so you can easily buy things and pay them more and get you involved in the loop. \n3. I've applied in almost every job for part time, got rejection due to no available positions (Reasons : too many applicants)\n4. You are not gonna get a job in your field, unless you are into finance or IT with a found background.\n5. I DAILY SEE OUR PEOPLE ALSO GETTING ATTRACTED TO THIS CULTURE, SMOKING WEED ON A DAILY BASIS AND DOING MANY THINGS WHICH I FEEL STUDENTS MUST NOT DO. \n6. For my chest pain, they kept me waiting 4 hours in a line. Asked me that if i can stand and sit for a while then i must not worry. I was completely weak at that time, shivering and going through 101 fever.\n7. 75$ monthly for MSP insurance we pay as temporary residents -> still waiting for 4 hours to meet the doctor.\n8. Current situation of students is worse here, no opportunities for many students who come with hope, especially if they are coming for PGDM, or bachelors. Currently at this time only, MASTERS is given a priority.\n9. Don't think about applying for PR, unless you are filthy rich, unless you have exceptional skills in the industries which IRCC is looking for.\n10. Racism is at its peak, especially only on students** sad thing to say but yes this is the reality of international students.\n\n\nI hope all my brothers and sisters here come with a planning, strategy and best and worst case scenarios preparation. Life here is not easy, if you once come here, institutions, your own people will get you involved into buying things, showing you dreams and holding you on paying the EMIs monthly.

These students are from very wealthy families who often have housemaids and servants to do domestic chores and who can afford to pay ridiculous student tuition for a second-rate Canadian post-secondary education. There are top Indian schools where it costs maybe 1/8th the cost and the education is very, very good (e.g. Indian Institutes of Technology) and certainly better than what they are getting in these second-rate diploma mills in Ontario. Moreover, there are very good tech jobs in India in cities like Bangalore. What these students are really after is Canadian citizenship, through a pathway that does not require strong qualifications. They were promised that by Indian immigration consultants. With Canadian citizenship, it is much easier to travel and live in the US, where many of them want to go (and some are even now entering illegally). \nA second reason is that these younger adults want to live independently from their parents. Many of them arriving in Canada are living on their own or with other students, for the first time in their lives, and are enjoying a lot more freedom from Indian social norms such as not being able to date people of a different religion or sexual orientation, or to marry the person of their choice instead of having parents involved. Three or four generations ago, when a lot of immigrants came after WWII, those from India were coming to large research universities or engineering firms and had a job or full fee waiver or university fellowship waiting for them. They were much more qualified and went on to be doctors, professors, business people and other professionals. This is what largely composed the Indian diaspora in Canada, until this wave of students brought along by the current government which admitted over 200K Indian students -- per year.

Hi thank you for the video. AS you mentioned that previous work experience If it outside canada ,SO it must be backed up with legal documents Can you open a bit more about what type of documents qualify for this? I have letters that outline a confirmation of employment (including position held at the company and the start/end dates of employment)These letters were prepared on company letterhead, signed and stamped but what about the paystub, i have to submit that or just submit the PR Reference letter ? and. that's all i want to submit for my previous job work experience ?Thanks in advance.

Born and raised Canadian and lived 22 years of my life in Canada. Left Canada in 2005 and till this date, zero regrets. I went for an academic internship in 2004 during my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering to University of Texas Austin. A professor offered me a position in his research lab for master's, so it was more like studying in US free of cost and earning monthly stipend for doing research. \nI never considered this as permanent move but quality of research I did in US, the opportunities and salary I received I could never imagine that in Canada. I am still in touch with my university friends in Canada work at low wages on obsolete tech stuff, with no innovation at work. Many of them want to move to the US, but for 10+ years they worked on outdated stuff, so they cannot compete with the talent pool in US. Even in 2004, I remember healthcare being bad and I keep hearing stories about how worse it has become. In US, I am covered by a good health insurance, I had surgeries for myself and my kids, and we never had any issues. Honestly, I can no longer trust Canadian healthcare with insane wait times for my kids safety.

Every apartment rental price pre Nov 2018 was Rent controlled but after that date all Rents could be raised by landlords as much as they wanted. Prices in rentals doubled and even trippled.

Hi, just want you all to know you are not welcome. Every other culture in Canada does not want you here, even older generation Indians. You will not find a job as companies will hire every other race before indians. A slow white will be hired before the most gifted Indian. No woman would be seen dating an Indian, at the most, a wealthy millionaire Indian might date an old, below average white woman. If you are hurt. Nobody will stop on the street to help. When you are delivering their food, they will not tip and hurl abuse at you if you make any sort of mistake. People will not smile when they see you. The only reason you are not attacked, is the police.\n\nIf this is the life you want, by all means come over!

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

Hi Jason\nThanks for the great video\nFor the Atlantic program, should the degree obtained be at least 24 months ago for skilled workers?\nI saw this on the site in the Educational requirements section.\nThe educational credential must have been obtained within 24 months prior to the date you applied for permanent residence.\nI want to apply for a skilled workers stream but this sentence is not clear what stream should attend.

I am Enion, I gained admission to nbcc and my admission was withdrawn the first time due to failure to submit study permit on the due date but I was later granted Visa. I reapplied and I was given but it was withdrawn the second time due to a general reason that they have gotten the number of students they want from my Country. Now I have my Visa and I want to pursue my career in justice studies-correction. What should I do? Thank you for your time.

I'm leaving because I want to start a family and Canadian women are giant zeros for starting families. I have dated too many women in this country, it's crazy, I never thought I'd be that guy but I cannot find a decent woman I'd marry here. 50% of the women are infertile or have uterus problems. 35% are on SSRI's or psyche meds. I'm only dating fit decent looking women, and the pool here isn't that big because so many women are obese and refuse to exercise or eat properly. The weather is terrible too. The politics are awful too. It's become so expensive. The tax money is wasted, you get very little value for your taxes. Canada feels like a slave colony that they stuff gullible immigrants into, and hope they can trap them.

1) Toronto is poor value. Getting housing of any kind (buying or renting) is stupidly expensive. And the quality you get for the price is lousy. Especially the newer builds, which are just thrown up as quickly as possible and sold to investors. Policy measures generally all seem to serve to just inflate the price of housing further. The occasional lip service given to affordability is amusing, but ultimately sad. There are lots of people who really do not want the housing bubble to pop. They will fight against it with all they have.\n\n2) It has become kind of boring. There is lots to do if you have money, but it’s harder to find entertainment on a budget. Even the free stuff like parks are filling up. Stuff like sporting events, eating out, going out is very costly across the board. Even the “cheaper” stuff is expensive. It seems like a lot of local culture is disappearing. Even the cool neighbourhoods are filling up with the same chains. I think the high commercial rent and bureaucracy is deflating a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. Most landowners seem to just be banking on cashing out their land for condos.\n\n3) Canada overall has a high cost of living compared to salaries. In the US you can find lower cost of living areas that still give you a real city experience. And in Europe you can be poor but still live a decent, if no frills, life. In Canada the basic necessities are all expensive. Phone bills, grocery bills, rent, insurance are through the roof. Domestic travel is expensive. And the dollar sucks if you want to travel abroad. Health care is free but good luck finding a family doctor or waiting 8 hours in the ER these days. It’s expensive to be poor, or even middle class.\n\n4) Most of the Greater Toronto Area, outside the core, is soulless suburbs with awful transit - very “American” except with worse traffic congestion. You will need a car, which is another huge cost. Row upon row of old cookie cutter suburbs with the same crappy houses. Good luck walking anywhere, and if you do you will need to walk down boring, treeless arterial roads with cars zooming past right beside you, and cross giant eight lane intersections that were never built for humans on foot. In a rainstorm or on a fall evening you have to be really careful not to be run over by aggressive drivers.\n\n5) It is hard to raise a family in an apartment here. You can do it but it’s not very easy, and also you are still kind of judged for it. Lots of young people are feeling stuck and are deferring or avoiding starting a family. Buying any type of house, even a basic townhouse, requires pledging your soul to a bank by taking a massive mortgage with eye watering debt in a volatile market. But few apartment buildings have the kind of sensible gentle density, the family unit sizes and the common amenities, like little courtyards with jungle gyms, that you might find in Europe. No one ever contemplated that anyone would ever desire to raise kids in an apartment. It’s just a cultural thing that has worked its way into how things are planned and designed.\n\n6) The transit system is ok by North American standards but awful by international standards. There are only two real subway lines, one stub line, one line that is permanently out of service after a derailment, and another line that was supposed to open a couple years ago but still has no date for opening. The subways go out of service frequently, sometimes for the dumbest reasons, and then it is a zoo of shuttle buses. The streetcars are nice but so slow. The buses are fine if you find yourself dreaming about riding a daily herky jerky rolling tin of sardines. They are building a lot of transit but it will take decades to get done.\n\n7) There is still a lot of cool multiculturalism and opportunities to experience different foods and cultures - one of the best things about Toronto. Increasingly though it seems to be losing the fun vibe of the 90s, when everyone celebrated each other’s backgrounds and was chill. It seems the immigration is not as broad based anymore and also people are importing a lot of their “old country” grievances here. The immigration system also kind of preys on people abroad by selling them a false fairy tale, so they end up dejected when they arrive and see how things really are.\n\n8) This one might be controversial but it’s kind of an ugly city. There’s nothing particularly of historical meaning or value. Some of the older neighbourhoods are kind of nice, but the last 25 years they have only built giant glass skyboxes, one after another. There aren’t the cool “missing middle” walkups like in NY, Chicago or Montreal (or even LA). There are very few buildings with much architectural character. Some of the buildings they deem “heritage” here are an embarrassment.\n\n9) For safety, honestly on this score I think Toronto is not bad. There are not too many real “ghettos” and it’s night and day compared to much of the US. With that said, there is more vagrancy and social issues these days, with tents and such. It’s very sad but the shelters are full, lots of homeless go into the libraries, parks and transit system. It does make it harder to enjoy these public amenities safely. It is nowhere close to Europe where you might let your kids run free around town. Canadian parents still helicopter their kids and the place again is not designed to really be safe for kids, in the same way as Europe.\n\n10) Finally, a bit of a double edged sword. Toronto had a lot of youthful energy - people coming here from all over. It is definitely not as sleepy as many parts of the world. With that said, it is becoming a bit of a transient place (minus the world class experiences like London or NY). If you are from elsewhere you might find it hard making and keeping friends. I’ve seen lots of people struggle because it’s is hard to build a strong social network. We have a very “shallow” culture here - people are extremely polite but not overly warm and hospitable. We treat one another kind of like neighbours - meaning we’d like to have a cordial, drama-free coexistence and otherwise kind of stick to ourselves.

Having visited Nairaland and dated a Nigerian lady, I can tell that Nigeria is not heaven on earth. The country has substantial problems related to violence, corruption, poverty, and absence of basic infrastructure. A reason exists to explain why thousands of Nigerians want to leave their native country for the west. And, the few who are successful are not in any rush to return!

I can’t thank you enough. No one here understands nor wants to acknowledge the struggle or repercussions. And I also understand that skilled immigrant problems doesn’t matter to any citizen. For political parties it is not a voting block and it’s an anti-immigrant sentiment for the public anyways. \nIt’s 10 years to the date I’ve been in the US. Paid for Grad school and 100s of thousands of dollars in taxes already (mind you with not 1 benefit that PRs or Citizens get). It will take at least 15 more years in this state of limbo to get a green card! I sometimes feel disappointed in myself that I stayed this long. It takes life experiences to realize money is not life. Canada is calling.

No way.. I did lived there for a year and could not wait to return home to my safe place. I also watch the news and the gun laws and new abortion rights over there are so out of date, in addition I see way to much political divide and religious influence to make it a desirable place to go. I don’t even want to visit anymore.

I don't know if you know this Tyler but America just hit its final hour, 250 years is the expiration date for empires and your United States just hit that mark. Plus have you seen the way Canadians have socialized systems that give us a high quality of life. Our current government is still capitalist but I currently can't be kicked out by federal mandate if I keep paying rent, the liberals have put this provision in place because the housing market is out of control. The liberals under Trudeau also helped the first nation's people more than ANY priminister to date and he dealt with the mass graves the best a light skinned priminister could. He's facing the same issues Biden is facing, the Koch brothers and Peter Thiel are pumping out propogada like transphobia, climate change, trickle down economics and poisoning the left by buying up publications with there infinite dark money.\n\n56 billion was spent last year on influence alone, That means 100,000 Americans saving ALL their money for 10 years would just match Koch influence powers they have in 1 year. \n\nYour housing market was destroyed by the Koch Brothers, they destroyed our water supplies up north fracking bitumen out of the land. \n\nThen when Koch wanted to leave the oil sands they made a propoganda piece pointing the blame at Trudeau.\n\nSo ya, no one wants to go to he country Koch brothers already control 100% were being fought over by Peter thiel who isn't any better.

move to the United States.... HELL NO ! \n\nThe way that things are going and slowly leaking into Canada with regards to dating, roles of the genders, the generations of people that will not be held accountable for their actions and accusations, and the WOKE ASSED IDOTIOTS ruining everything, I want off of NORTH AMERICA. I'd rather go someplace where the people are more traditional in their dealings with other people because that is more peaceful, happy, and lower stressed lifestyles.

I live 20 minutes from the US border, I'm single and doing the online dating thing. I Get lots of people who live in the states because I live so close to the border, but I immediately reject them. That's how much I don't want to even consider involving myself with the US.\n\nAlso, I think you need to do a little bit of research about your own company because your statement that the vast majority of people have health insurance through work is completely wrong. It's less than 50%. Most people in your country are screwed when it comes to healthcare.\n\nThe fact that basic human rights for the majority of the population are also under attack makes it a very easy no. Who would ever want to live in a place that is so hateful and violent?
2023-05-21 0
Why are they not opening fire? I'm not sorry for your situation as we have problems here too. If you want to act like fools charging the gates to our border, that is an act of war and should be treated as such. One warning shot would have made them stop. If they didn't stop you shoot one person. If that doesn't make them stop, you start taking ppl out. We need to protect our borders, protect them from criminals, drug mules, and the like. That means we need to do a background check before anyone can cross that border. Not letting them in, giving them a cell phone, giving them a place to live, not allowing them to work while they sit there waiting 2 years for a court date. Its beyond ridiculous and that is what the Democrats are doing. If you are cool with that, then you are an issue and should second guess your own citizenship in this country because we the people are always first, no one else. Our government has forgotten that for quite some time, but amazingly Trump actually was bringing it back. Thats coming from someone who hated Trump, voted for Biden, and regretted my vote in March of Biden getting in office.

6 million already and released with a court date which is now 10 years in the future accordinng to the news today. Each will be popping out a kid a year born in this country makeing them instant citizens. All paid for by our Tax dollars. We have our own people homeless, Jobless, and Starving and this administration is pushing this. Open your eyes America we are being invaded by criminals from all over the world and our own government wants us disarmed so we cannot defend ourselves.

As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. The pain in the hunger, the fact the money from your country is so little valued that even video game money has way more worth.\n\nIt's a very scary place which we are trying to genuinely scape from.\n\nHopefully for my brothers and sisters from the states try to understand, hopefully these people at some point will need to understand that doing things out of fear will not get them far. Again a very very scary situation.
