I live in Toronto Scarborough area and my problem with Indian people isn’t the colour of their skin it’s the way they act it’s obviously not all of them but I see just about everyday with my own eyes how these people come to this country and treat/act in it everything from when a fire truck goes by with the lights on they don’t pull over just keep driving I see them constantly park in the handicap parking spot at the td bank up the street the houses on my street that are dirty with garbage are the Indian houses there are so many things I see on the daily they come to this country and either don’t care to learn the laws rules ect or they do learn them and don’t care like it’s absolutely ridiculous the USA and Canada have been ruined by foreigners and thats just the truth thats not me being mean salty racist or anything else negative im just speaking the truth a large percentage of foreigners don’t care about the citizens in whatever country they go to we are minorities in our own countries it’s a disgusting world we are living in

This isn't just Indian-specific, I have seen many African students do the same. Not all, but many of these international students from developing countries are just enrolling on degrees in western countries with no interest in studying or completing the degree, just to get entry into the country. They then either drop out after registering or first semester and or work illegally and send money back home. Governments focus too much on capping work and other visas paying little attention to the obvious backdoor routes student visas provide.

They will find better partners and other ways to trade. But USA won't find anybody any more who is willing to deal with him, everybody will avoid engaging with his administration, because they are acting ruthless. Trump isn't considering the ends of his decisions and he obviously doesn't care because he is an irresponsible person without a concience. He won't be able to do harm to other countries than to his own, he only destroys USA, because they elected him and they are following him on his way so far. The opposition in USA will become louder and much more influential and Trump will lose more and more companions in his own party.

They aren’t “opponents” of Trump though… they are his “good friends”. He doesn’t want the allies America has always has. He wants Putin, he wants North Korea. Because they are the men he looks up to. He loves ego driven dictators. Because he is one. Also… this isn’t about fentanyl… that’s just the excuse he’s using. He wants to weaken relationships with allies. That’s obvious. As an American who not unlike more than half of this country believe this president and his administration are going down a very dangerous path. It feels like a runaway train, why can't we stop it, why can't we remove him, the impending damage that is about to take place seems obvious. This is a democracy but what do you do if the person who was voted in isn't qualified and is hurting not only our people but people around the world? Can you recall a president? What would it take?

As a Canadian who lives in (largely French-speaking) Quebec, I don't know if our gov't even NEEDS to tariff American consumer goods, the people here are already boycotting US goods and companies en masse. EVERYBODY is doing it - and the pace isn't going to recede anytime soon. Even after the Orange Turd is long gone, trust me, Canadians will remember this! The American state has proven it cannot be trusted. They have unilaterally broken the trade agreement (negotiated by the previous Donald J Chump administration) on the flimsiest of reasons, the 00.2 % of fentanyl that flows over the border into the US from Canada. That deal now obviously not worth the paper it was signed on.

Isn't it illegal to assist illegal immigrants in any such way? Like picking them up in a BUS at a random gas station? The report says bus companies are not worried because its not illegal to pick up people from the street. TLDR, I love yall but the time is now to stop pretending that Trump is constrained by what is legal. The Supreme Court and him owning the legislative can make whatever he wants legal within a week. And he obviously isn’t going to be deporting people, only the lucky ones will be deported. Everyone else is going into militarized camps, one might call them concentration camps.

How sad is this? The cruelty is beyond belief and she isn’t even ashamed of herself. And to pretend that these people could just apply legally is ludicrous. I used to think Americans had some bad people but the majority were good.even with the evidence that they refuse healthcare for all and decent gun control to protect children. I thought they just hadn’t realized how effective these policies are. But now it’s blatantly obvious that they don’t care about poor people or disabled or sick people. They don’t care about the elderly or the health and safety of pregnant women. They just want more for themselves and are too dumb to realize that the way to get more is to work together and help each other.

For licensed doctors I would think that the 4 years would be a snap if you already know the material but beside that , if they went back because they could work in their field in there home country then why did they come here in the first place. Obviously it wasn't violence or fear for their lives.\n If they come here and enjoy the first years but then the reality kicks in when the benefits stop that they may have to work for minimum wage and they now know that a person making minimum wage in Canada is makes you homeless, can't afford a car or the gas, insurance and can only buy food , that they realize that they were better off where they were. It;s time our government informed these people of the harsh reality of how our governments have allowed our once great country to become place where it;s citizens suffer under these financially inadequate conditions that are only made worse by immigration numbers that far exceed our ability to house them. Maybe have them try to support themselves on the income they would get here while they are still in their country, or if it made a condition that our government must prove that they can sustain themselves with minimum wage before they can immigrate then immigration would be denied because heaven help them if minimum wage isn't enough because welfare/odsp is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

If you want to stay here in canada then you should know how to be a canadian,i feel sad about them but its very obvious that they just don’t care about our rules here and most of them doesn’t really know how to show respect..this isn’t your country of origin guys,you can’t make your own rules here.

the 70,000 students were coming in illegally i believe, 70k out of 1million+ that have come per year isn't so bad. I blame this whole situation 100% on the government and it totally does suck that these 70k people coming in are going to be deported but again there were and are so much scams that have been going on. If they lied and cheated on the system i don't think we should feel bad. Canada used to have higher standards. My family obviously are immigrant too but there has been no background checks, no proper procedure in the last few years and 2 races have been getting preferential treatment. Most if not all people that come in from Africa are left on the streets while the your country men, indian, and white looking are given a free house, food budget, and dont have to work.. We paying more for taxes and the government has increased work force by 40% yet wait time for services has trippled 3X, make it make sense.

With obviously knock off the products that took a hell a lot of research and development for companies like Nortel who actually did the work to make. It's obvious the Liberals knew these immigration numbers would damage Canadian's standard of living, they just didn't care. In essence they were successful in enriching Canada's biggest corporations but in the process have completely alienated the electorate. The backpedalling they're doing now isn't going to help, it's pretty much inevitable the Conservatives are going to win the next election next year regardless how hard they clamp down on immigration.

All people have the right to practice their religion but when you move to a new country, you can’t expect that country to change everything for your religion you have to adapt you have to share you have to compromise, and this is the problem with some people not all in different religions not just Muslims There are many people in society that take their religion to the extreme and that’s the problem. I can’t believe that these two actually expect or assume there’s something wrong with Canada because there’s no daily five times alarm that their prayer should be practised in every city in Canada at least two people speak very good English. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, but your existing citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it...

Apartments in my building have doubled in price in the last 5 years... DOUBLED. We were full with a waiting list last year, but this year the whole wing I live on is empty, except for a few suites. Yes I understand his point but at the end of the day they’re still not taking any in and they should you can always return them and you can still push for them to have their lands but I don’t think they have to stay the sacrificed to do that. If they’re helping them and truly fighting for their land you should be able to remove people for safety reasons leave the fighters behind when it’s safe you can return the people and they probably should make systems in the neighbourhood areas and yeah other countries in Europe and whatever yes we all should help out each other like that I think for sure . Immigration wouldn't be a problem in Canada if immigrants were only allowed to settle in less populated areas like the Territories, Saskatchewan and Manitoba or even rural/ Northern parts of BC, Alberta, Ontario etc. Instead they all come to Greater Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal etc because that's where their family members and friends are. Canada has a huge density problem and lacks infrastucture in all of these rural areas but allowing immigrants to move here but only to those areas would be hugely beneficial. There is jobs there as we have a resource-based economy. Why isn't this obvious to politicians, people want to move here just put some rules in place!

I’m from Quebec, the Indian immigration isn’t as overwhelming here. We’re pretty strict with the French language, I guess that’s the main reason why. Without French, one can hardly work as anything else than a dishwasher or cleaner.\n\nThere are high paying jobs in tech and other industries that will hire you even if you only speak English but you need to be qualified, obviously.

Tyler, most Canada who can pay for extended health care if their employer offers it! Because of what's not covered... Usually it's co pay in better jobs, 50/50 or employees pay the whole cost... if it's offered. So obviously our tax paid basic health care isn't so great unless you're old or poor.

She’s a US citizen and wants Indian embassy to treat her well. Is the roles are reversed, can she as an Indian citizen enter US embassy in India with a phone and video tape it? She will be treated like a dog by them. So she should know the difference between how US treats Indian citizens. It’s her stupidity to not get an EVISa or OCI proactively. It’s her stupidity to fight with the officers like this. Obviously, the embassy should have also helped her if they could. Mistake is on both. But she isn’t a saint.

Im currently 15 years old. And i wanted to go to Canada for education. I never wanted to live in America, cause every day i heard about a pretty bad police and Health care and obviously people. \nNiether go to Australia cause there are a lot of dangerous plants and animals (Im not going to lose an eye to a bird, or life to a spider). \nAnd i honestly praying that to the time i get 18-19, Canada became better. My capital gains on investments is around 15%. I get free health care (which while obviously not free - is paid out of my taxes, yet isn't rationed or in-network restrictions, doesn't have copays and cover 90% of my medical needs). I have a government that even at its worst, is orders of magnitude more rational and public serving than the US (and god help you if Trump gets back in). Not to mention a country that doesn't literally have a major gun violence/mass shooting even EVERY FRICKING WEEK, unlike the US.\n\nAnd yes, I live in Metro Van and I have an 850 sq ft two bedroom apt I'm renting for $1250/mo - so maybe the problem isn't simply that the housing market is too tight (which it is), but that you've picked a city in high demand that's boxed in on four sides - ocean to the west, mountains to the north, US border to the south and what little farmland the lower mainland can sustain to the east. I don’t like it. This country isn’t really multicultural. It just consists of mostly rich, wealthy Asians, and a ton of east Indians, who contribute nothing to this country, other than taking up low, paying low skilled jobs. I’ve also worked at jobs were none of them spoke English, so yeah that’s obviously a safety issue. And they also don’t immerse themselves in integrate themselves with Canadians. I can go on and on and on about this, so yes, a conclusion is there is obviously a problem in this country.
