If you want diversity, bring people from all over the world. If you want Indians, bring Indians from all over India. Then where are the Northeast Indians? Where are the Bengalis? Where are the South Indians? Where are even the North Indians? You bring only Punjabis; you exclusively bring rural, uneducated Punjabis, who aren't even 1% of the Indian population, for vote bank purposes. Then you complain about Indians. Whose fault is that?

Canada is the new Bharat. We need to maintain an open border with India so that we can flood this new land with the wealth of diversity and corruption. Jagmeet Singh was paid millions to keep Canada unified. Pakistan wants piece 🔫!!! Next time I come to Canada I must bring at least one servant. Pass the butter chicken, you will only be served if you wear a head dress.

I wish India and Pakistan could be one country—not as British India, but as a united land where people from both sides coexist peacefully and share in each other's lives.\n\nIf we were truly united, think about what could happen:\n\n1. The $50 billion defense expenses on both sides could reduce, freeing up resources for growth and development.\n\n\n2. The Kashmir issue would no longer divide us, allowing Kashmiri people to live happily and fearlessly, finally at peace after decades.\n\n\n3. Punjab would be united again, blending its rich culture and heritage from both sides.\n\n\n4. Pakistanis could visit the Taj Mahal, and Indians could experience Lahore's old markets—all without the need for passports and visas.\n\n\n5. Imagine the beautiful sight of Ganpati Visarjan on Karachi beach, celebrating with the same joy as we do in Mumbai. We already have so many mosques across India, so all faiths would have a home.\n\n\n\nAnd my favorite thought: India and Pakistan together would have the strongest cricket team, with fast bowlers, skilled batsmen, and the best of talent playing as one.\n\nFrom an Indian perspective, some people might ask why we would want this—why merge with a country that has been under military control since 1958? There’s concern about extremist groups, the instability Rawalpindi brings, and whether Pakistan could ever embrace the same religious harmony that India enjoys. In Indian cantonments, people of all faiths celebrate each festival together—could Pakistan someday share this unity and respect for diversity?\n\nOn the Pakistani side, many feel merging isn’t practical. They believe it would only create more problems with a larger population, and cultural differences might make it difficult. They worry about job competition, about religious fanatics clashing, and about how their way of life might change.\n\nI know this dream may sound foolish to some, but I believe nothing is impossible if both sides truly want it. History shows that countries have overcome their divisions.\n\nI don't know why, but I just wanted to share these thoughts. I don’t want to get into the blame game over who caused the partition; I only dream of a future where understanding, peace, and mutual respect guide us all.

And you let them come here as students and take up first world spots for first world Canadians. Why are we being subjected to this B.S?? \nGOC has not created a way for us to report immigrants who are rude or abusive to Canadians, and who have over-stayed their visas. DEPORT THEM. When they commit crimes, instead of deporting them, you let them stay. They’re old women are also crooks and in on it. Imagine bringing the people who call and scam from Indian and Nigeria to Canada so they can just do it from here. Wild. And the Chinese (not Asians, I mean the Chinese)…are the colonizers of their part of the world, AND they cheat in schools. So you’re giving graduates spots to cheaters, liars, anti-Canadian, and racists. Canada never had a diversity problem, we had a supremacy problem, and we still do. And Canadian DOES NOT MEAN WHITE. So stop making this a race thing. \nYou let them snap up our houses and our land and jack up the prices, and force us into homelessness and prostitution to pay rent, and into drug addictions because of a lack of purpose. So the GOC literally just implemented the same strategy they used to place indigenous people onto reserves, but now it’s for all Canadians. And make no mistake: high rents for bento-box “luxury”/rat infested housing are min-reserves that are not built for Canadian bodies or our aging/disabled population. \nDEPORT THEM AND REFRAIN FROM GIVING THESE ANCHOR BABIES CITIZENSHIP. If they come here to have their babies, instead of giving them a Canadian birth certificate, you should be getting that certificate from their consulate. Cause at this point that’s just trafficking and financial fraud/abuse. We all know they come here to get the benefits and the domestic tuition, and a lot go right back to China. And it does seem to be the Chinese, Indians, and Nigerians (a lovely EDI mix) of thieves. \nCanada has spoken, we don’t want them, we don’t like them; and they do not like us, they want us out of our own country. This isn’t a racial issue; this is a cultural issue. You cannot have these anti-West people in our western nation. They gotta go. And who cares about the international students anymore or the money “they bring in”. Universities are registered not-for-profits in Canada, so the for-profit argument can’t track. \nCanada needs a RICO law so we can more easily seize their assets and expel them, and hold universities to the fire for this crap, and the government officials getting kickbacks. The GOC is the largest human trafficking pimps, and the universities are bottom bi***es. And don’t think we don’t know that the 30% cap DOESN’T apply to companies like Navitas who recruit for the universities, are housed in the universities, but are separate, private companies.

Canada is open to inmigrant but not from one nation like India taken over by numbers , even in distance places in Canada need immigrants of diverse backgrounds that can interact with native born Canadians , India is the largest inmigrantes in Canada \nFollowing by china and the Philippines , we don’t want one group of immigrants become a political force and displace in numbers\nLike what happen in India one group want to dominate the other, \nFor once I am in favour of massive deportation to bring back the job rightfully to Canadian and permanent residents

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

I’m not Muslim but I can understand some of these reasons why you’d want to leave Canada…Canadas not merely diverse anymore it’s diluted, money & bills culturalism is the real identity…it’s hard then ever to acquire personal wealth in the socialist nation. Still one of the cleanest & safest though…isolated crimes yes, bigoted & discriminatory somewhat but the irony is it’s mostly from the new immigrants that bring it from their own war torn etc countries. Immigrant here, brown as well, and a worker in the international educational industry. Pin points why Canada and even immigrants, including international students and temporary works dislike immigrants from Punjab:\n\n- They are rude. They have little to none concept of living in society. They are selfish, they are arrogant, and anyone who works in the serving/retail industry will they are the worst customers ever. \n\n- The level of entitlement is beyond absurd. When the leader of this protests in PEI was told “Canada needs doctors and nurses, not you (the guy graduated from a business program, and works at Tim Hortons still), he responded: “I don’t care what Canada needs, is what I need, for myself”, displaying what a great citizen he’d be.\n\n- They refuse to integrate. They left Punjab to pursue a better life, but they want to live like are still in Punjab. \n\n- They scam their way in. Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. They have often blocked roads to protest against India, because they want Punjab to be separated from India, and turned into a new country called Khalistan. I highly doubt they would all move there if that actually happened.\n\n- Going back to the entitlement: They often abuse the human rights nature of Canada. They sued the government for the right to ride bikes without helmets, or to not be forced to used safety equipment in construction sites, and for the right to walk around carrying a dagger, because it’s a “religious item”. Canada also for some dumb reason accepts their arranged marriages as a real one. Any person from anywhere in the world has to undergo an invasive scrutiny of their relationship, being forced to provide private conversations, and witness. Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. Not me saying, that was national news. \n\n- They are extremely racist. They will openly tell you they only rent/hire/do business with Punjab people. Now, even the buses are driven by Punjab people, is insane. And you can tell they are new comers, because some of them can barely speak English. But is a well-known fact: Once one of them is in, they will make sure to bring in as many of their countrymen as possible, and only them. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. English is no longer spoken in the hallways. \n\nSo these are just few of the complaints I have about them. I moved to Canada for a better life, and I have fully adapted to this country, and I’m resentful that this government allowed these people to slowly turn Canada into India. I was sold the idea of diversity, and I fell for it. I’m the minority of the minorities. Despite being a full Canadian now, every single day I think more and more of just going home. I’m tired of Canada.

Canada is INDIA! I am a immigrant and my family wanted to come to a diverse country but my ENTIRE neighborhood is INDIAN or MUSLIM. Indians are racist and bring their caste system and color issues and they do not assimilate because there are no Canadians to assimilate with. VOTE TRUDEAU OUT!

I have to say that I am quite apalled to hear fellow Canadians being so openly racist--not to mention just plain ignorant. For any non-Canadians watching, let me assure you that the majority of us do not embrace or abide by these sentiments--we are for the most part a progressive, tolerant people who accept and, in many cases, welcome diversity and inclusion. We are, after all, a nation of immigrants--many of whom have escaped the oppression, injustice and intolerance that plague much of the undeveloped world--in pursuit of a better life. They bring their skills, hard work ethic and adaptability to a country that would wither on the vine without them. So, it's essential that we maintain meaningful and robust annual immigration rates to avoid the fates of countries like Japan, Italy, and South Korea: shrinking nations facing hopeless futures of economic decline and demographic collapse. We also need to maintain our pace with the behemoth to the south, or risk being utterly consumed by it. I hope and pray that most Canadians understand these basic truths--especially the younger ones. \n\nNow, I will admit that with regards to immigration and demographics there are always some logistical and pragmatic challenges that are part of any democratic, pluralistic society--of which we are, generally, a leader. And, sure, our government policies on immigration, employment, education, mental health, and housing need to be fine tuned to improve short and long term outcomes. But to place all of the blame on a single demographic slice of our overall makeup is simplistic, reductivist, dangerous and downright offensive. In a word, it is racist, pure and simple. Is that really who we are, and what we want to be? I hope not.

Hello everyone, \n \nAs a 55 year old white Canadian male (born and raised), I wanted to take a moment to address some of the anti-immigration sentiment I've seen in the comments section. \n \nI just want to say how much I love and appreciate the diversity that immigrants bring to our country. I truly believe that Canada is made stronger by the contributions of new Canadians from all walks of life. \n \nOn a personal note, I am so grateful for the love and acceptance that my daughter's partner from India has brought into our family. Their relationship has taught me so much about different cultures and traditions. Love knows no boundaries and I am proud to support their relationship wholeheartedly. \n \nSo to anyone spreading hate or negativity towards immigrants, I urge you to open your heart and mind. Embrace the richness of diversity and build bridges, not walls. We are all in this together and together we can create a more inclusive and accepting society. \n \nThank you for listening and let's continue to spread love and understanding. \n \nPeace and love to all.

We don’t want immigrants or citizens who can bring to this country nothing but debts and liability. Population and diversity are never the strength.

How does bringing more people here help housing? More people means more homes needed driving up the cost. We dont need diversity! This is my home and Im sick of othrr cultures that are not compatible. Things like common courtesy is not common in other cultures. Dont need honor killings or cuvil wars brought here nor do we need war criminals. I dont want to wake up one day and find my home is taken over like the Turks took over Byzantium. I also do not want to deal with foreigners who expect us to change our ways to not offend them. A refugee should only be welcomed until its safe to go home, not stay here.

Yes actually I do have a comment or two. I think that Toronto has become the victim of either its own success as a multicultural, diverse and growing metropolis or the perceived idea that Toronto is the place to be. And what that brings with it? Yes, people who are interested in living the life and those who can afford it pay it. You said it very well, the city has become unaffordable to most people but the wealthy or at least those who are getting paid the best salaries and those who bank on real estate take advantage of this, be it the hype or reality since also, most job opportunities are still there. So to me the problem is with the lack of contro of the real estate market. And people who cant pay but for whatever reason live there just have to pay the price. The refugee situation is not surprising to me at all. We are struggling with affordable housing for crying out loud but we are also advertising to the world that we are that welcoming and peaceful society that those people can be part of. But at what cost. Toronto cannot continue like this if it will still be considered as a city for the people and not the wealthy and chronically increasing poor. No wonder they chose a progressive for a mayor and not a conservative or hard line liberal because people want change but not radically. People want to live in the best city they can having all necessary services and in peace and safety. So, there are so maby layers to pill here but again, the main reason why things have gotten the way they are is because they let real estate run unleashed. All the best, Alina.

Just wanted to say, I’m a white Christian, and a Brampton resident and a high school teacher in here and I love the diversity of culture that Punjabis bring to the community. I’ve worshipped in Gurdwaras with friends. It’s great. \n\nTo me, this is a testament to what Canada and Brampton has to offer the world. All are welcome!
