Im Canadian and while the tariffs are gonna suck, I completely understand why Trump is doing it. Our government is an absolute clown show and what's worse is now the politicians and corporate media here have spun this whole thing as Trumps fault and alot of Canadians are falling for it buying into this whole US vs Canada BS. Like this all coulda been avoided if our politicians would've actually fixed the border YEARS ago, instead of legalizing heroin, making a gender neutral national anthem and making it illegal to misgender someone. \n \nHonestly I'm so embarrassed to be Canadian these days that being the 51st state is pretty appealing. Im from Tamilnadu and while abroad i worked in shell for a shutdown i saw north indians workers spitting pan just before the englishmen and I, as an engineer from the same nationality as these backward people have to feel 2nd hand embarrassment for what these people do.\nMany in kerala and Tamilnadu behave well and have good manners. Unfortunately the majority of north Indians are like this excluding some guys who are very well behaved than me. Not out of hate but out of frustration.

I want to mention as im seeing it, the comparison between our healthcare systems really needs to be taken in context. Ours costs less. But both of our healthcare systems rank extremely poorly compared to many other countries.\n\nWe're number 32, you're number 69. If it were the difference between, like, number 1 and number 2 or even arguing over spots in the top ten, that'd be a matter of national pride. But, my god, we should both be embarrassed as countries.
