BAN ANYONE THAT CANNOT PASS AN ENGLISH TEST NOW- A Test delivered Verbally or in Writing!

Hello...I gave my test yesterday. Got 17/20. My Webcam stopped right after the test started (first question was on the screen). So, it asked me sign in again. I did so and it went all well after that. Anyone experienced that? Will it be an issue for my test while they review? Please let me know. Update: I got my test marked as Completed in the tracker. I did not give second test.

Do anyone knows how long you have to live in Canada before you take this test? And is there a testing book that’s more updated?

i hope you can stand the eventuality and significant economic and interpersonal effect this will promote. i agree principally with none of this, its unnecessary and extremist in leaning. but i can stand it and saw this ahead of time as eventual. my question is can you stand these economic effects . did they ask you on the campaign trail? well . i also suspect as an independent that we will be both affected and tested. Consider those in power in government and big business who see to these situations becoming realities for American citizens , remember they live in mansions and have generational wealth. they can lose billions and withstand it. They will not now or ever feel the effects of their poorly thought through actions. we will. we will have to. How surprising. I wonder what their masters from UK and USA will have to say about this? The app was very bad for our country. No tests. People could come with ‘their kid’ and ‘bags of groceries’ and walk straight in. Furthermore, the security was told to not do their job. Hence, nobody would be there to stop anyone. Does not matter what they’re carrying, they could just walk straight in. Security risk. A huge one. The door was wide open, because Joe wanted it to be. Trump signed the order, and closed the doors. Now they have to do the legitimate process. Not walk straight through. Just look at the statistics. You gotta speak the language, understand the country's culture, history, geography etc, and while making and oath, swear that you respect the laws, the ppl. You have none of those. Go home!! Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

Anyone else notice that the increase of truck driver accidents correlates almost exactly alongside the time that we make Indian truck driving licences count in BC? If you are born in Canada these days it costs $19000 to take the class 1 test, but if you are an Indian immigrant you just need to prove that you drove truck in India and they give the licence to you.

Since 2016, many International Students started coming to Canada and they moved to Brampton in particular so they wouldn't have to assimilate into Canadian way of life. I'm a Punjabi kid born and raised in Canada, who grew up in Brampton. Brampton has gone to the shits post 2017/2018 when all these International Students invaded Brampton. The older Punjabi families are moving out of Brampton and are moving to other towns, while some of them rent out their old homes in Brampton to International Students. Old Punjabis are suffering from this the most, maybe you should've interviewed Canadian born Punjabis or Punjabis who have been in Canada for dozens of years instead of interviewing some new comers and a couple crackheads. Not only are these new International Students fucking up the neighbourhoods we've been living in, they've ruined our reputation that our parent's/grandparent's generation worked their ass off to establish in Canada. Maybe Trudeau or whoever the fuck is in charge, should raise their standards of what kind of International Students can enter Canada and have a more difficult English proficiency test. Canada wants Internation Student money, but at what cost? Hi Tyler. I think that when you say you've lived mainly in small towns and that most people are pleasant may stem from the fact that you're a white male. Many if not most small towns in America suffer from a lack of cultural diversity. It's easy for them to be kind and pleasant when they hardly ever get confronted by anyone outside their cultural norms. How accepting would they be if a bunch of families from other cultures would start moving into their little piece of paradise? Would they remain as pleasant and friendly? That's where the real test would be. Mind you, I'm not sure it would be so different here in Canada if you look at more remote villages.

My Grandfather was 5 years at war he was shot twice jumping in a fox hole. That is the year the American finally joined WWII and brag about how the American won the war. He hated America so growing up I never knew anyone. I started class at Second City Chicago last year. Maybe you guys aren't so bad. ? I live on Vancouver Island. It is 270 miles long and our whole island population is 875, 000. So ocean view. Hospital that doesn't charge. And while I do have hunting rifles and a shotgun. I had to take 3 written tests and 2 practical exams to have them. As well my license is criminal record checked every 24 hours. I would not move anywhere my grandchildren are doing active shooter drills.

My friend called me yesterday. He said there is something important I want to ask you, but I can't talk over the phone. Let's meet at a coffee shop. I said ok, then we met and he told me he had just met a guy who runs an English school. He asked him for 1200 CAD for the complete package, which includes English level 4 and the Canadian citizenship test. Note (my friends don't speak English), so my friend accepted and left a deposit and was told he has to attend an English school for only 15 days and he will receive a level 4 English efficiency. THAT'S UNFAIR. I HAVE SPENT HOURS LEARNING ENGLISH AND STUDYING FOR THE TEST!!!!! Anyone has an idea how to stop these people??????? Who should I contact???? I live in Ottawa.

This is achieved upon completing an English language test either in the form of IELTS, TOFEL or CELPIP. The average cost of these tests can range from CAD 300-350. And they have a expiry date, usually around 2 years, because as we all know, speaking English is an acquired skill which you can abandon if you so wish, so they need to make sure you still speak English after 2 years or so. Funny enough, if you speak French, it is a completely different story, as a lot of provinces invite specifically people with strong French skill, and Quebéc has the right to make independent decisions of policies on immigration, as Quebéc is not a signatory on the Constitution Act of 1982, so they reserve the right to making their own policies independent from the federal government. (Did I mention the fact Canada is officially a bilingual country, but New Brunswick is the only official bilingual province?) This discrepancy in language preferences of candidates can be elaborated by the TR2PR pathway that was announced in April 2021. (Did I say math? Psychology student here. In the interest of accurate information, I would like to point out some flaws I find with some of the studies in this documentary and question the conclusions reached. I understand that CBC Marketplace are not personality psychologists and therefore cannot be expected to produce the same quality of work as a scientist. However, I think it is worthwhile to think critically about the information in the media that we consume. I am also open to anyone who wants to engage in debating the contents of this documentary.\n\n\nThe following are some notes I took while watching the documentary outlining the individual hypotheses of the studies I think are flawed and descriptions of their respective accompanying errors. \n\n\nThere are three possible research questions, and thereby dependent variables, being answered by the apartment hunting studies.\n1. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \n \n2. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man between Toronto, Montreal, Regina, and Victoria, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could total apartments visited be a confounding variable? (4 in Toronto, 3 in Montreal, Regina, and Victoria) \nb. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \nc. They only showed the black man apartment hunting in some of the trials. I am considering him out of the study for consistency purposes. The first-nations man is the only one who got unfair treatment in the footage of apartment hunting. \n \n3. Possible hypothesis: If male landlords/agents are more discriminatory than female landlords/agents, then the white man and the first-nations man will get different treatment at different Canadian apartments in equally diverse cities. \na. Don’t know all the information about the genders of the landlords/agents, not all the footage is shown, but the ones where they get ripped off are male. The others shown are female. The remaining interactions are not shown.\n\n\nThere are also some factors that may have influenced the racial bias survey and, in my estimation, rendered it scientifically unreliable.\n\n\n1. The bias survey and accompanying tests at the CBC attributed the differences between the studies to unconscious racism. What if it was just due to familiarity with certain racial groups over others? \na. The black participants had no bias between European-American and African Americans, supposedly indicating no racism, while the white and first-nations participants did, supposedly indicating racism. Is it possible that another interpretation of this result is that bias is a function of familiarity: that we are comfortable with the majority demographic in the geographical location we live in, as well as our own kind. Therefore, the black guys are less biased against black people due to being both black and living in a white majority demographic? \nb. The participants took the survey knowing the objectives of the researchers was to study racial discrimination. They might have influenced the answers they gave \nc. Whether the participants agreed with identity politics or not was a confounding factor that was not controlled . You can only be racially unbiased biased if you think that racial identity is a means of accurately viewing the world. People who do not believe in the existence of identity politics may answer the questions quite differently, which could be a different reason for the results.\nd. I took the study myself. The words that participants were required to match were a mix of adjectives and nouns. It is known within psychology that nouns have higher levels of imagery. This was not properly controlled and therefore is another confounding variable. \n \nAll the other studies looked fine to me. I welcome any discussion on my observations.

I've taken that test, I don't think it's valid. It started to mess with my eyes not long after beginning it. I had to take time to rub my eyes, etc. Worth a try for anyone though.

these tests are biased, assuming that only white people are racists. try to carry out the same tests with non-white people. i worked in pakistan for a while, i've never seen anyone so anti-black in my life. do your homework.

This test does not work properly in Friefox (no add-blocking) so I've already screwed up my chance of inputting a 'subconscious' response to the questions/words that are being asked. It keeps trying to find 'specific letter' in the text field rather than selecting said 'letter' as an answer. I just thought I'd put that out there for anyone wanting to take the test. I'll try with Chrome and see if it works in that.

After watching this I came to the conclusion that - sadly - our First Nations - are facing the worst discrimination of all. With regards to the testing of the woman wearing the hijab and the niqab I was pleasantly surprised that she got as much support as she did when wearing the niqab. I wouldn't approach anyone - man or woman - where I can only see their eyes. A man on a street wearing a ski mask scares me just as much as a woman wearing a niqab. Think of the Klu Klux Klan - their disguises were terrifying - worn to commit the worst kinds of crimes without detection - just as ISIS terrorists wear their masks. It's not discrimination - I just feel physically threatened by humans wearing disguises. I include clowns in that group.
