Great speech! But I think the Canadians are overreacting a bit. Reciprocate the tariffs and go on with your lives. As for Trump’s reason why, it will probably be obvious when the new tax dollars begin overflowing your accounts.

No offence - is that not US imposing a tax as reciprocal/ you reduce your tax for American goods it automatically reduces your tax !! Why so much Politics in it! We can’t expect Americans to pay our bills , no everyone is super rich in America there are beggars at street we can see it

Let this sink in, tariffs / taxes are debt on the tax payers back not the government's, government take taxes, reciprocal tariffs are just other taxes paid by other businesses in other countries to main government. The only way for the tax payer to prosper is by not to playing in the game by being more self sufficient, which obviously government do not like as it is untaxable. Thus regulations on self sufficiency by governments. Now you know who serves who.

This is an attempt of bait and switch…Trump and his goons are trying to protect the rich from taxes, so they are trying to deviate those taxes to somebody else not thinking about the reciprocity it will cause…

Trump proposed reciprocal tariffs. Is it just me or did it sound like Trudeau was the one to impose the same tax amount? Looks like Trudeau has no cards to play. If he really wants to work together then he should take the offer to be our 51st state ?

New York, Michigan, and Minnesota to have a 25% export tax tax applied to their electricity and if Trump reciprocates on April 2nd, electricity to these 3 states will be shut off completely according to Premier Ford of Ontario as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

If the whole world is ruled by one government.. and presidents are just puppets .. this government orders every country to tariff the other reciprocally then simply the whole world gets taxed 25% and goes deeper into poverty as slavery … one year covid .. one year war … one year tariffs it’s like a chain of events all destroying the middle class
