If some guy handed you an invitation to a party at his house, and there, after an hour, someone approaches saying , 'I hate to tell you, but you WERE'NT actually invited and your invitation is fake, and although the guy who invited you DOES HALF OWN the house, but it is HIS BROTHER hosting the party, and your friend, whenever his brother holds a party prints out fake invitations. And then after being told to just STAY PUT, after thinking that you would like to just leave, the guy who explained this comes over to tell you that since your friend IS half owner of the house, that you are ALLOWED TO STAY, but preferably if you could just walk a long narrow hallway in sit in the large roomy storage closet. Maybe then, you think it preferable to just leave, but IT MIGHT BE CONSTRUED that you are making A BIG FUSS about leaving, and this would be BEING RUDE to the people WHO TOOK QUITE A BIT OF TIME to help you sort out YOUR DILEMMA, and IF you DO leave, you might NOT EVER be invited back again, and if you AREN'T invited back, MAYBE someone who saw you AT THE PARTY: LIKES YOU, and will go around LOOKING FOR YOU, even to the points of looking through people's windows to find you, and WHAT IF this would happen at like 3am, and maybe you should JUST TRY TO enjoy your stay in the broom closet BECAUSE someone who DOES LIKE YOU would wait and be able to SPOT YOU and say 'hi' AS YOU EXIT the main entrance, if that is the only exit.

It’s a problem here in Canada. They aren’t heading to the USA basically all of them stay cause it’s just easy. Nobody would have a problem if they made an effort to assimilate and some do but the ones who don’t ruin the image for the rest of them. Other obvious problem is we’ve let in too many people in in general like more people have come than living units have been built making many problems just right there and then and it’s not really the people who immigrates fault it’s the government. I know restricting imagination and making the test to get in harder so they actually have to know something about Canadas history and our culture and realistically we need to apply more pressure on the expectation that immigrants eventually assimilate.

As a Canadian living close to the capital, we do not want this. The liberal government are letting anyone and everyone in without any background checks and they aren’t following up on the visitor/school visa’s that expire to see if anyone is actually leaving. They don’t even try to adapt or conform to laws, society nor culture. Immigration without assimilation is an invasion. We are tired of this, send them back.

I’m gonna comment here with a lil rant and I’m Indian woman, and I know my comment here would probably invite a lot of racist remarks . I am working very hard in my country to be a doctor and I wanna leave my country (because no opportunities ) and move to a better and a safer country where I’m respected as a woman , which my country fails to . Now , I have to give a lot of exams and fill up a lot of visa requirements to be in any better country and I’m absolutely fine with it . But I’m not fine with the fact that countries like Canada , Australia , uk etc are immigrating people from India who are not educated , don’t wanna assimilate, with very eased up visa requirements, easy pr facilities because these countries want cheap labor and when these bottom of barrel uneducated folks move to another country they do shady businesses , start making huge communities of similar people having similar views and this leads to chaos and a backlash , racism on a particular ethnicity, stereotypes and so and so . I’m not saying my people aren’t flawed , they are but why the government is so easy in immigrating uneducated uncouth people from 3rd world countries where even these people wouldn’t be hired in some great companies or give anything great to build a valuable society , why people who are talented and literally would assimilate, has respect , is educated literally would bring a change for better is sidelined or toughened up their immigration process ? I might come off as very rude and jealous by my comment and actually im kinda jealous but I really wanna know and I observed this pattern a lot . All educated people wanting to move out are struggling while these kinda are just migrating so so easily and most even have permanent residencies WHAT ???

While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense. I would like to see just one contribution from fatty to scholarship😂😂. EDIT: By the way, some of Africa's brightest minds include Ngozi Okonjo, an economist and politician (Nigerian) who serves as director general of the World Trade Organization; Vera Songwe, an economist (Cameroonian) who served as head of the UN Economic Commission for Africa; Dr. Tedros Adhanom an Ethiopian doctor who currently serves as DG of the World Health Organization; Prof. Salim Abdool Karim (South African) scientist globally respected for his research on immunology; Aliko Dangote (Nigerian) and Africa's richest man and one of the top 100 richest people in the world according to Forbes. Canada accepts a lot of immigrants more then the US but if the US had a less strict immigration policy it would probably look very similar. As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

If we actually want solutions, we should be talking about things like real-time tracking for overstays, linking federal/provincial systems, funding enforcement properly, and setting penalties that are predictable and enforced. Bring in experts not random paper pushers for “gotcha” moments. Sessions like this aren’t about fixing the system, they’re about stoking outrage. And more often than not, it ends up targeting vulnerable groups instead of creating policy that actually works.

See I'm conflicted now actually. So you're saying these Indian communities are providing free resources at large scales for food and hospitality that aren't being taken advantage of by the homeless and impoverished white population? I'm not sure where the problem starts here.. because to be quite honest the rest of the country isn't necessiraly like this. Places like Hamilton and Toronto are incredibly mixed, where I'm not sure there is a minority, and places such as Welland, st Catherine's, Niagara, Langley, are still largely white. At what point do we look at people who are choosing to live on the streets and do drugs and say they are not taking advantage of the resources and opportunities being provided to them? And Brampton has been this way, to be honest, for 20 years. At what point do we accept that this is now Brampton, and that the country offers a lot of diversity for those who would choose to not live in it.

This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

This election wasn't about republicans or democrats or independents. This election was about humanity and global security. American's ignored the writing on the wall for their own singular wants/opinions. They stand with their Trump flags but only a few of them can actually explain any accurate information about his policy or legal issues and they condone his behavior. The majority of Trumpers claim to be 'Christians'. Christians voting for a man who is a bully, abuser, liar, predator, monger of power, impedes freedom of press and speech and aligns himself with a dictator. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Somewhat right but not exactly right. According to Trump admin, Trump is actually trying to stop the circumvention of Chinese goods and Chinese drugs coming from Canada. Trudeau promised Trump to work on the drug issue, but I guess he did not if we are seeing the significant import tax on Canada now. What this report doesn't say is the NYC mayor actually send several bus loads of illegals, with tickets paid by him, to the Canadian border when he got tired of Texas sending them to NYC. how dead do your brain cells have to be to think that doing something like this will immediately solve the problem. If there wasn't a demand there wouldnt be anyone trying to fill the demand. Purdue Pharma also helped create the demand by pushing highly addictive opioid drugs and lying about it to people. Those people they hooked didn't suddenly disappear. It created a chain that we are still seeing today. They would rather put a bandage on the bleeding wound than cough up the money and the actual will to start solving the crisis that is driving people into drugs. Like lack of affordable housing, once people lose that safety and are on the street drugs end up providing a relief from their situation. Lack of any meaningful mental health care, or any health care at all. There are underlying things that aren't getting solved, people will always find new ways to find or make drugs whether those drugs come from other countries or just created inside the US.

I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. You guys are incorrect on what happens when the US raises tariffs on certain items from Colombia. Do you think American importers will continue to import highly tariffed commodities like bananas and coffee?! No they find other countries and other sources because consumers won’t pay 50% more on coffee and bananas. Guess what what Russia and North Korea are doing? ISOLATED to death on their economy. Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. Immigration MAY play a role in rising prices... In fact, it's negligible. Private Equity and Corps are using the excuse of 'immigration' to intentionally drive up prices. Why have prices increased generally. The Gov't printed too much money to keep the Corps/Bay St Happy and share prices up. They should have just rode it out like the rest of the World (aside from Western Countries, You see the exact same thing happening... Rising costs, mass immigration, etc. coincidence? ?) . So in fact, it's not that things got more expensive... our currency deflated. Aside from US and EU at least... majority of our immigrants aren't illegals, refugees, people seeking asylum, etc. They actually can bring value to the economy (some would disagree... ?, besides that). As long as the Gov't ends the TFW BS... we'll be fine. Maybe... Doesn't help when Can Officials are sharing the bed with Sikh business Tycoons... Jagmeet, Danielle, etc. That's a story for another time.

Our Universities are heavily subsidized and Nurses and Doctors take advantage of this, If Trudeau/Pierre wants to stop our doctors and nurses who graduate going to the USA right after school, They should make them pay back the portion of their education that the taxpayers paid for and never received any healthcare from, It should be you have to work in Canada after graduating for 5 years before moving out of Canada, and if they do, then they pay around $150,000 to break the contract compounded with interest from when they started and finished university/college. I know someone who graduated Nursing in the 1990's, She went to a convention in Toronto, Where she was quickly swayed to move the USA, Its because Nursing here is a 3yr course in the USA its a 6 month course, they aren't educated nearly as much as Canadians, A Canadian nurse can be a GP in rural areas of the USA, Also the Nurse I know within a year was made head nurse of her ward, Bypassing USA Nurses that have been working at the hospital for 10+ years, due to the extra education, This is a big problem, we are educating Nurses and Doctors for the USA and other Nations funded by Taxpayers, Sure Nurses and Doctors do also pay some, but its closer to 1/3 of the actual cost, the other 2/3rd's is taxpayer funded. She's still working in the USA and still never helped 1 single Canadian. 30yrs later!!. I don't know about you, But I think this needs to be addressed and fixed once and for all.

Anyone reading this that is planning on crossing the border. I'm gonna be frank with ya. With the government helping migraints, more is going to them than our own. What is happening is they are pushing out people in migraint held cities and displacing existing residents. So those disbled , elderly, veterans and drug addicted people who are being displaced are being forced to smaller communities that don't have the infrastructure in place to cope with so many displaced people. Then you end up with a huge issue of Homeless people trying to live in Tents in the middle of winter. j You have a vast number of elderly women taking to van life because they can't afford to live any other way. Would you like to your Grandma living in Van, constantly on the go? YOu are being UNAmerican in your news reporting, when you fail to give fair reporting and do equal amount of investigating into who this actually affects amount the American people. This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. This anti-immigration isn't isolated in fact most immigrants who's lived in Canada all their lives have expressed deep concern that the government is letting in too many from one nation and the lopsided admittance is part of the concern. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.

I am Canadian born citizen, unemployed, 2 and a 1/2 years. Because I didn't know that the Trudeau government in 2022 when I lost my job due to the pandemic was allowing them to import T.F.W's as executive assistance my level of experience into my industry. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get an interview withe almost 20yrs of experience and I was trying every trick in the book but a week ago I learned that they brought in over 2 years 300,000 admins at all levels from E.A's to receptionist now. So imagine my horror and shock to learn that 5 days ago. But you walk in everywhere. And it's just Indians from every part of South Asia and I am all for immigration I'm a child of an immigrant, but immigration is a science When dealing with a country like Canada, where it's designed to be many cultures like a 20 bean soup. You're supposed to try and keep it at being a 20 bean soup and within 3 years it became like a 2 bean soup. It's a science where you're replacing your dead, and then you bump it up like 10% to grow the population slowly with GDP so that you don't have so many Canadians. Unemployed and temporary foreign workers that come are employed. So everybody's contributing but the way they did the open door everybody bum rush. And over run the country. Our economy is now 60% dependent on people who aren't residents. They're temporary which means when they leave our fake economy is actually only built on 40% to 30% of Canadians. That's an economy that will crash because it's never supposed to be weighted that way, Canadians are supposed to be 60% to 70% of the economy and foreign workers are to be the rest. So we're in trouble when they finally go home, but they need to put a moratorium on PR's, Work permits, LIMA's, T.F.W's and restrict all educational institutions on how many Students they can accept so private schools don't scam students by taking their money then telling them they don't have a seat for them to attend class that is just criminal and do so untill end of 2025 and then review status again for 2026. So Canadians can have a shot at getting work and then slowly introduce them back in as needed for proper slow population growth and not just a free-for-all ability to work anywhere in the whole country. Major cities and everything like that. So people like me can finally get back to work.

I know a refugee family who both mom and dad aren’t working and has 3 little kids. How they survive in Canada? Money from child tax, pension money because dad takes care of old relatives (actually the old folks were just barely living and in exchange of looking after them the dad receives their monthly benefit), and selling the property of the old folks. This cheating family has now been able to rent a large home and able to travel in Canada and the US, (they have become Canadian citizens recently) without mom and dad working! And the old relatives, they dont live in the large home and aren’t included in any of their travels. Mind you, these old relatives were once working, responsible residents of Canada and helped the refugee family come to Canada because they are blood related. LESSON HERE - be careful of family that will take advantage of you when you get old, especially when you have pension and properties. Be careful who you trust! The nerve of the refugee dad!
