This story is very true. I came to Canada when i was 10. Was raised in Canada and life was great. All that changed in the last 10 years. Everything is sooo expensive you have to cut back on leisure activities that you need to keep your mind healthy after a long work week. All i did was work long hours for the necessities for me and my family. After a long conversation about a year ago with my wife, we decided to move back to Portugal (I have dual citizenship). We moved this past summer and couldnt be happier. Life here is much more laid back and you are not charged to do the simple leisure activities like going to a provincial park. Food is cheaper, housing is cheaper, insurance is cheaper and weather is 100x better. No more having to hibernate at home in the winters. Only thing i found more expensive here was electronics and fuel. Something needs to change in Canada.

From these savings i helped my sibling in paying his NDBE exam fee, paid hospital bill when my mom was diagnosed with covid in 2020 (she fully recoered and is in excellent health now) for myself i bought books, computers and other electronic gadgets of my choice, After returning back i made an investment of $20k and bought a plot of land for $25k measuring 240 sq yards and still left with nearly $12k.\n\nIt would need another $50k to built a double story house on it with all the luxurious ( which i will save in my next tour) . To me the best place on earth is where you can live a happy and comfortable life.

I have a fix to all this. Make every American that came from a legit system, and grand parents, and parents who came legally back 4 generations count only and offspring.. In Australia everything is electronic, no visa stamps at all. The first Australian document you get is an Australian passport after becoming a citizen. There are no permanent resident cards etc. Every entry/exit is automatically logged on the government system, and you can even download an app which tells you your visa status, conditions and whether you're onshore or offshore (so no need for passport stamps).

People are just too attached to their electronics now more than 20 years ago. If they stopped watching so much TV and just felt they should let their devices rest on the table a little instead of holding it all the time, they would feel the need to just watch the clouds around or the trees around you or simply enjoy fresh air even if they don't do anything

There's cases in this episode where they assumed racism without proof like the Best Buy for example. I used to work at Best Buy for a Co-Op placement in highschool and shoplifting was a big issue for them, it became best practice at one point to just approach customers of any race and ask them what they need. You also have to realize that it's an electronics store, you're there to buy something specific or look for something in particular.. It's very suspicious to be browsing around for 15 minutes unless you're in a game or movie section. Shoplifters usually stall before attempting a theft and usually do buy one or two things as to not arouse suspicion.

The whole bit about the store staff asking you if you needed assistance or hovering around you has happened to me when I was in Saudi Arabia in a store that sells electronic devises and books etc , bear in mind that I am Egyptian and that happens to me in Egypt as well so I don't think of it as race problem more so that some stores are just worried about theift, still that doesn't mean that I don't hate it, it makes you feel pressured to buy something so I thought if I went to Canada and if this happens to me it will be normal, now I don't think so.\nP.s. sorry my grammar and spelling isn't top notch giving that it isn't my native language.

Ok. Just to be fair, the stuff in the store is actually customer service. My skin is white as snow and when I go to one of these electronics stores I'm actually glad someone asks if I need help because half the time I'm so overwhelmed with choices of gadgets and computers, etc. that I do need help making the correct choice of product for my needs.

Best buy and alot of electronics retailers they have to ask you if you need help like 50 times. I told my boss I refused to bother people like that and I got fired
