One really has to admire Canada's leadership here. JT can speak without a script , No hurling of petty unintelligible insults and actually acts on the best interests of ALL it's citizens. So while the predator destroyer is on the march, humanity, reason and decency prevail in Canada.

The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags. The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls. We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them. Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect. Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity. Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency. Let’s welcome them back. We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””

Why are some commentators still talking about fentanyl & immigration as if it has anything to do with whats going on. a psychotic, narcissistic loon who hasn't the faintest clue about government, whose ambition is self enrichment and whose instincts are sel aggrandizement has been elected to the leadership of a country where his unique combination of idiocy, incompetence, insanity, deranged maliciousness and need to exact vengeance on those he feels failed to defer to him sufficiently (or just randomly, to assert himself) can do the most damage. Sure Trump is a fascist, but he's much, much worse: He is totally insane. What do the congressional Republicans tell their children, families and friends about why they're bowing to a clear and dangerous psychooath utterly devoid of human decency ? How do they explain their snivelling deference to a once in a millennia loonatic of these proportions. He's not only, obviously and blatantly imposing hardship on the most vulnerable Americans for personal gain, he is destroying US influence and respect globally. The rest of the world now see the US as a real and present danger. A pscho killer nation from whose derangement no one is safe. How long will this be tolerated; and how long before it occurs to Trump to drop a nuclear bomb on someone just to boost his ego? We aren't dealing with a rational mind, and RRepublicans need to be told that their 'king' went from a corporate tool to Caligula quicker than a Ferrari.

We in Europe support, honor, and respect the Canadians. I come from a small town in the southwest of Germany, and people are still telling me stories about the nice canadian soldiers that were stationed there until the 90s. I've got canadian relatives and I absolutely adore your country, like so many other germans and europeans. We stand with you Canada, because we share the same values and a COMMON SENCE AND HUMAN DECENCY❤ Qualities, which are hard to find in this MAGA Administration. The Republicans have betrayed more than our old friends and allies with this astonishing attack on Canada, coming on the heels of Trump's performative assault on Ukrainian sovereignty. They've betrayed our constitutional republic, common sense, simple human decency, our core institutions, our people. This is SHAMEFUL treating these migrants like criminals especially with women and children to see. There is no reason for this we are heading into what happen to the Jews in world war two. We need to learn etiquettes, personal hygiene and common decency in order for being human first. Visas will come later.

My main concerners are human decency and the chance that a legal immigrant will get caught up in the mix.\n\nFirstly, i am concerned we will return to the concentration camps of the 1900s and the people in them wont have adequate supplies and support ehile they wait to be deported.\n\nSecondly my concern is for those on a green card or other form of legal immigration getting caught up in the mix and not being let go. I guess this also includes children of people here illegally who were born in America.\n\nFinally i think we need to stop thinking of asylum seekers as illegal immigrants. If you have come here and submitted the proper paperwork to be here then you should be allowed to stay until your paperwork has been processed.

I've been bringing this up for years and only get labeled as racist and bigoted. I get told straight up by indians that they don't care about this country, that they just want to take education and money back home. They don't care about local culture, human decency or hygene and don't make any REAL attempt at assimilation, only faking it so they don't get harrassed by real Canadians. \n\nI post exactly whats happening on social media and get shadow banned, mass reported and my retarded friends/family that are too timid and weak minded to point out whats happening attack me instead of having a conversation.

Denying people the right to not live in such horrible conditions is just wrong. What would you do if you were them? You would do anything for a better life wouldn't you? Screw the laws... history says enough about the illegal immigrants that created this country. Basic human decency says this is wrong. Let them all come here. Then they'll be nothing and America can expand. Just saying there's a lot of good that could come from expansion.
