Not a strategic approach. We need; health care workers, construction and trade workers. All the rest should be sent back.

The United States has elected a president who is turning its longest-standing allies into adversaries. This isn't just about Canada. The entire Western world is watching. While the U.S. has the power to harm its allies, those allies also have the ability to push back, and the USA is rapidly losing friends who may not return. As America’s alliances weaken, so do the obstacles its rivals face. \n\nTake Australia, for example. Should it continue aligning with the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific region? Should it continue hosting critical American surveillance infrastructure? Should it keep supporting and supplying the U.S. fleet? The USA enjoys a trade surplus with us, but do we need to spend USD$50 billion over the next decade buying your hardware? The Europeans seem to be a more trustworthy ally, who don't make us a target.\n\nThe USA would argue that their presence ensures security, but the reality is that countries like Australia only face threats because they are tied to U.S. strategic interests. Perhaps a more pragmatic approach that avoids unnecessary antagonism with China would serve us better. \n\nAs for Canada, it will adapt and find new trading partners, just as Australia did when China attempted economic coercion. And through it all, Canada, know that Australia will stand with you—always.

Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. I’ve never seen a surge in Canadian patriotism like this. Never in my seven decades —which includes the two Referenda on Quebec separation. And there’s a federal election approaching when all partisans will be one-upping each other in the patriotism department—which manifests in more boycotts of US goods and hospitality services.\n\n Americans should know that the unofficial boycott is more harmful to US exporters than the official targeted countervails because it features immediate and longterm diminishment of Canadian purchases of US goods—all retailers know it’s very hard to recover lost customers once they’ve found alternatives (and the added patriotic effect only makes it worse). Included is diminishment of Canadian visits to the USA. Indeed, the internet is replete with testimonies of Canadian”snow birds” not only forgoing their annual sojourn in the Florida or Arizona sunshine but also of selling their properties there with the parting shot, “I will never vacation in the US again!” Already Mexico has seen its visits from Canadians (who have had a modest presence in Mexico for years) surge to unprecedented levels. I know from much-welcomed temp Mexican construction workers in BC (where I live) that they view Canadians completely differently from our mutual US neighbours—and now that affection is growing like never before. \n\nI’m continually amazed at how uninformed Americans are about tariffs—and misinformed by tRump and his goofy, preposterous, and ridiculous fantasy of world-domination. When tRump uses the lame excuse to implement emergency powers —that Canada is “allowing” (as Vance puts it) fentanyl to “pour into the USA”—it’s tantamount to saying Ukraine started the war with Russia. The man is a tendentious liar and narcissistic megalomaniac. \n\nI have faith that the great nation of the USA will reject tRump’s crazy policies—we all just have to hang on and let the needless suffering for both our nations (and the world with regard strategic alliances) play out until he either relents, is swamped in legal repercussions, is impeached, or otherwise removed from office!\n\nGood luck my American and Ukrainian friends!

Canada's response to America's tariffs under Trudeau is a masterclass in balancing diplomacy with pragmatism. While the U.S. pursues a protectionist agenda, Canada stands resilient, leveraging strategic countermeasures and asserting its sovereignty. Trudeau's approach is not just about retaliating in kind; it’s a nuanced display of commitment to fair trade and a reminder that economic interdependence cannot be taken for granted. In a world where global relations are increasingly volatile, Canada’s measured response signals both defiance and cooperation, leaving the door open for a future where both nations can find common ground amidst the tension.

ICE: With too much work to do: First: FOCUS ON NON-SANCTURARY CITIES/STATES and areas with compliant authorities; REWARD THEM for their help. This will PUSH illegal immigrants into Sanctuary areas e.g., New York and Chicago, overloading them with costs and challenges in education, healthcare, policing, accommodation, judiciary, and finances. Over time, these pressures will overwhelm the sanctuaries, prompting Voters there to Change Their Minds, Policies and, hopefully, their Politicians… Second: Keep the pressure up until the 'Mid-Terms'... THEN we'll know if VOTERS have Learned Their Lessons... if not... Third: THEN strategically reduce Federal funding to the sanctuaries that haven't Learned Their Lessons… This approach won’t unjustly or inordinately punish patriots.

In our country, countless citizen children face daunting obstacles to education due to restrictive policies. The imperative lies in reevaluating seat allocation in educational institutions, prioritizing admission for all eligible citizens over enforcing impractical requirements. Presently, stringent conditions, demanding a 98% average across all classes, serve as formidable barriers, especially in prestigious programs like Computer Science at the University of Waterloo or Business at the University of Toronto.\n\nThese entry criteria demand a more pragmatic approach. The existing system seems to prioritize selling seats to international students, often at the expense of deserving local candidates, based on financial contributions. Moreover, dishonest practices, such as buying grades through online schools or bribing high school teachers, corrode the very integrity of our education system.\n\nAmidst these challenges, the lack of guidance from school counselors leaves Canadian students uninformed about strategic academic planning. Proactive counseling becomes crucial to enlighten students on the importance of enrolling in Grade 11 courses during Grade 10 and Grade 12 courses during Grade 11. This strategic approach empowers students to make informed decisions, strategically dropping courses for a better chance of success, aligning with the tactics employed by foreign students vying for available seats.\n\nThe current state of our education system is untenable, necessitating essential reforms. Every Canadian citizen student deserves the right to pursue higher education, liberated from the influence of financial gains for institutions. It is crucial to address these issues, highlighting the immorality and wrongness of pressuring kids to achieve a 98% for their future. Some achieving perfect scores may resort to dishonest means, taking cognitive-enhancing drugs, or being denied the opportunity to experience a normal childhood. This underscores the urgent need for a fair and accessible educational landscape prioritizing the well-being and ethical development of all citizens.
