I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. TODAY I WAS THE ONLY CANADIAN ON THE ENTIRE BUS, AND THE BUTT IN FRONT OF ME AND EVERY ONE ELSE WATING IN LINE,\nNONE OF THEM HAVE ANY MANNERS, FOR US , OR THE CANADIAN RULES OR LAWS,\nJUST LOOK AT THE SLEEPING TERRORIST THAT CAME IN WITH THE SO CALL REFUGEES.

International students are in Canada to study and should be financially secure to make that travel to Canada to study for a few years. After their graduation, they should depart and return to their home countries… no one should be allowed to stay if the society doesn’t need your skill set at that moment of time. \n\nThere are many options for them:\n\n1. Make their motherland great by contributing to their own economy;\n2. Be a good ambassador for their own country while in Canada by respecting our rule of law;\n3. Depart when your temporary time in a foreign country is up! If not, expect to be removed by force!

Just remember that a lot of people have a before and after view. Back in the day a school photo looked like a meeting of every country and now in some areas, those photos look like one country only. My point is that people grew up in a multicultural environment. Very rarely did one group have so much impact with so few people in such a short time. The long and short of it is stop driving like an entitled @$$, mow the lawn, don't be the loudest people, don't crowd, have large gatherings in public areas where you take over some place so that nobody can use it. Some people just want to get in, get their stuff and go home. I understand that the 2 countries in the world with the largest population like to be very sociable and crowd together, but neither of the two groups want to follow rules, laws or be considerate of other people. It's all about them and how they want to live. Imagine you've been paying taxes and following the laws and being considerate of other your whole life and someone coming to the country and making no effort to behave.

Why Mr Singh you rented your property, it’s a famous saying Foolish construct houses and wiser live in it, one more advise money unless it’s in your wallet it’s your money, so my brother Singh would have that it’s Canada not India, because in India tenants can become home owners, because rule of law is not strong enough, but in Canada or America or uk, it’s unbelievable that these civilized educated rich culprits evils they don’t pay rent in other words they think it’s our own private property, who the hell is landlord, it’s a shame for system in these countries that people can dare not to pay rent to owners not for a month but for years?

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). The entire world needs to be a safe haven, NOT Western nations ONLY. Giving people outlets delays CHANGING the nations that these immigrants come from. Those nations need rapid and massive introduction of democracy, capitalism, rule of law (Western law), freedom of speech, free mass education, freedom. It's clear that the mass of humanity chooses this option. Giving them outlets instead of demanding that their nations CHANGE delays world progress. Anyone who truly believes in helping those nations would be focused on plans to CHANGE those nations. No excuses for further delay! What taxpayers dish out to support ONE immigrant could educate several children for a year or MORE in their own nations, could help support adult education, entrepreneurship, and more. CHANGE THOSE NATIONS.

Immigration has been happening since the discovery of gold and livestock by europians in americas. Over a period the laws took over society became matured to have one life. Now when if some getting in with zero wisdom and knowledge exploting the empathy \nand take it to their jungle rules they shall be shown their way .

Old mother India has out spawned its own pond..Its country CANNOT and DOES not offer a future to its people. Thats a failure by any normal standards. What gets me is, just how many millions have just arrived in other countries in the world. Their numbers and communities exported and imported so solidly everywhere. Within 2 years here in the uk, I am sure there are now, somehow more Indians here than ALL the other groups put together. Its astounding to see the indigenous and others be outnumbered by one group (south Asian continentals) in such s sudden and impactful way. With these movements Politics change, voter types, the , the shared future vision, shared cultural norms, etc resources like public transport trains, rosd traffic, shops, hospitals, public spaces are jam packed overall. No more quiet or isolated spaces, just 24hr pushing, shoving, shouting, mobile phone worship and loud speaker, conference video calling (my God this one grates my soul) destroys the respectful unspoken social and shared rule of EVERYONE else somehow, its insane! The place has no time or space to think. Blink and your place has gone. In every sense: social opportunities, place in queues job opportunities(as they set up internal networks that u are excluded from) aka as smugglers and their smuggled, housing bidding, corrupting of housing laws, benefit fraud all massive problems for local authorities and larger government overall. Under clearer terms and better conditions and planning Im with migration as a theme. Mass intinction to enable mass migration lol maybe less so!! Good luck to us all, we need it. Most of zs just trying to make a living and do right by our family's and our better selves — who can really knock that ???????‍♂️

NO newcomers for two years….Immigration lost count of about one million! STOP this insanity….WE are paying the price and the worst is…..is that actual citizens are dying because of ridiculous wait times, I almost died and lost 127cm of small intestine that was twisting, because of wait times while my intestine was dying! NO…..we were NOT short of doctors and nurses, you flooded OUR Canada and still flooding them in! Deport scammers and stop the baby factory!! Can’t wait for the Honourable Pierre to be OUR PM and we must demand deportation of newcomers that are scamming and here illegally! OUR Canada, OUR rules, OUR laws and OUR traditions! Fit in or leave…..quite simple!
