Sovereignty is the concept and practice that got us to where we are as a species belonging to countries. Somehow our political leadership decided that sovereignty was no longer a thing and Trudeau simply said "C'mon over..." Our path forward is to purge our nation of illegal immigrants, PRs that aren't hitting the metrics, students with expired visas and of course criminals who are not Canadians. Once we've cleaned house we need to treat our country like the prize that it can be and only invite in those who fit in with our psyche and economic needs. Just because someone shows up at our border doesn't mean that they belong in Canada.

I am so sick of this as a Canadian, it's unbelievable. If you showed me this in a satirical comedy show 10 years ago, I would say it's too overboard to be funny. But here we are! I'm moving to the United States because of this. And before you ask, yes, I am proudly a racist. I am First Nations and I have been concerned about how the face and language of Canada has changed. The first thing we noticed in our small town was that the taxi companies were taken over by East Indians. Now days you are hard pressed to get a taxi anywhere in Canada and get a driver who hails from India. I used to like Tim Horton's until I needed an interpreter to make my order, one doesn't speak English so, she had to get another worker to take my order. You go into any 7/11 or any gas station, or convenience store. All are staffed by people from India. But, it isn't just Indians. There are many other immigrants coming to Canada from China, Japan etc. None of these immigrants do not speak very good English. I have faced prejudice from these people who do not recognize my rights as an indigenous person. Going for an xray, blood test the field is mostly Asian. I have to get cataract surgery and I couldn't understand the Chinese receptionist and had to spell most of what I said to her. That means their business is mostly with Chinese-speaking people. As a First Nations person my status will always be a minority. With every immigrant that comes to Canada my status as an indigenous person diminishes. Taking transit shows me that english or french are ever spoken. Canadians are the new minority.

Remember the British stole $44 Trillion from Indians during colonial era. India controlled over a quarter of the world trade before they arrived. India was a bigger economy than US adjusting for inflation. The Industrial revolution was built on back of Indian slaves paying 70 percent taxes to the crown. The motives of this look racist because when you try hiring white folks the retention rate is extremely low, these past 6 months I have seen 8 employees in managerial positions who quit less than 2 weeks and it's impossible to retain them no matter what salary you offer and then when you go hire an Indian they just don't quit and work harder. But again that's an anecdote, that doesn't mean white folks don't work hard. Everyone has different experiences so stop, putting half baked stuff out on the internet and stop embarrassing yourself. You got a problem, go back to your country. Why don't you go back to jolly old England and serve the queen.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. For _years_, thoughtful and well-meaning people have been showing the evidence that massive over-immigration was detrimental to Canada. They were rewarded by being called r-ists and xenophobes. Turns out that, actually, they were right. Canada needs, right now, a 100% moratorium on all immigration for at least three years to allow infrastructure and health care to catch up. After that, a very slow and gradual increase to maximim 1% current population levels, with a strict focus on STEM and health care grads. Not their parents and grandparents and great aunts. And if any of them breaks the Canadian criminal code, they are deported within 24 hours.

As a u.s citzen I'm appalled and ashamed of my president.
