I recognize Canada has huge problems with excess immigration and we can't meet the demands we are insinuating we can meet to potential immigrants. I also recognize that there is a a huge problem with Indian students being lured here under false pretences and this issue needs to be exposed. However, I don't think you should have given an openly racist person a platform to share their views and you laughed when they said obviously racist things. He said "I'm as racist as the next person" and you laughed. Sorry but what?! He is normalizing his racism and you are playing along. Just pick a different person to interview. He said "better indians than muslims, africans, etc....." Canada hasn't been around that long relative to other places. This guy came from immigrants like 1-2 generations ago. The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. One thing to highlight with not seeing any homeless Indians in that first seen is not that Indians are causing others to be homeless - rather, they are willing to help family out to prevent homelessness! When we first came here (20+ years ago from Ethiopia), we couldn’t find work and faced homelessness. Our extended family came thru and let the 4 of us stay in a small 1 bedroom in the basement until we could get on our feet. By having a room to be safe in, we avoided a lot of the consequences of homelessness that would have made getting back on our feet exponentially difficult. What I have found shocking now to see as a Canadian of 20+ years is my non-immigrant Canadian friends who will watch quietly as their family members fall under the poverty line and towards homelessness, avoiding inviting them in to not “disrupt their peace” at home. I’ve had random family of friends stay with me in hard times to avoid them being on the street while my generally kind friends (at least to others!) did not take them in. This individualistic mindset of the West really means if you have a low point in life, you will plummet to rock bottom…. Ofc homelessness and poverty is multifaceted but a more collective approach to community would also reduce the burden!

I’m a white American recently retired at 63. There are millions here and in Canada that are / will be collecting Social Security or the Canadian Equivalent. If we want those funds to be there in the future we absolutely MUST have immigration. In my family we had 11 girls born 1994-2006. Exactly 2 of these women are moms and they have 1 kid. That’s called population collapse. Any economy to continue prospering needs a continual supply of new workers paying taxes. White people ain’t doing it. Whether it’s Indians in Canada or Hispanics in the US, we need these people. These immigrant communities also practice the principles that made America/ Canada great. Faith family and community. Anyone heard of the recent trend in America of kids in their 20s-40s want to divorce their PARENTS??? Yeah it’s a thing. I bet there’s not a whisper of that garbage in immigrant communities. I'm new to Canada, but one thing about people from India is that if they have the opportunity to skip or cheat on a test, they take it. I know this firsthand. Another important fact is the population of India; they are around 1,300 millons people, but only 1% of those people can collapse the immigration system of a country, in this case, Canada. And Canada allowed it. Last but not least, I don't know if deodorant is forbidden in India, but they smell really bad.

Im a single mother and have a part time job...can't get a second because all the jobs here in town are filled up with Indian immigrants....and I can't even get accepted for welfare to help me pay for things because all the immigrants are flooding the welfare system. Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. You can also see the trend among Punjabis—many aspire to drive trucks and cars in Canada. In India, people often see Punjabis as if their only purpose in life is to go to Canada. I love Punjabi people, but I don’t like this mindset. 5. So, the people you see doing disgusting things are most likely illegal immigrants. Why? Because genuine people go there to educate themselves and contribute something meaningful to the culture—not to behave like those individuals. 6. I really hope Canada can recover from this. I have a friend who went there in 2015, and he once told me to visit the country. Canadians are truly amazing, and the natural beauty (except the winter!) is so nice.
