I am an indian, genuinely speaking, when I came here back in 2023, I didn’t know there are so many people from one of the indian state called punjab. They have ruined this place as well as image of all Indians. Also, If you want khalistan, why they are not protesting in where their land belongs(so called), why in Canada or Usa? There are 70% of the people are living in canada is punjabi. They have ruined the image of our whole country. We are peace loving people and follow rules but just because of these people, we fell into the same group. Fun fact: why brampton and surrey have bad reputation and increased crime rates because punjabi people live there. Thats heart wrenching. The other aspect is the Canadian government doing nothing to curb thia types of people instead of that these people do crime, get arrested, claim asylum, get free food for 1 year and become the resident of the Canada. I am really frustated and both the goverment and these khalistan entity. Go to hell man.

As a brown guy who is born and raised here, not every brown person is Indian. There are Guyanese, Trinidadians, Sri Lankans, Bengali, Nepali etc people that are in no way related, linguistically, culturally or religiously to people from Punjab that have been here decades and respect the land, the culture and learn English. The majority of the mass migration as of late has come from one state in India. Many are good people, but many try to make Canada the home they left. Too bad the rest of us south asians and west indians are painted with this broad brush.

Please don't say indian I feel ashamed, the so called invaders are from punjab which is the north part of india who speaks Hindi. We are from south most tip of india :kerala we don't invade any country we blend with other country's culture. And we speak "malayalam" as our language. India does consist of 28 completely different states and 22 plus different languages. Everyone is different in their culture and language spoken and the food itself. And I am also sad I came to canada from kerala to get a foreign exposure but sadly I saw more punjabis, gujaratis and many hindi language speaking north indians more than canadians😢. We keralites get the racism not from canadians but from these so called Punjabis and gujaratis the hindi speaking people. Its awful

Post the assassination of Indian PM Indira Gandhi by the Khalistani Terrorists (concentrated in Punjab) in 1984 and the Indian government crackdown on them - many found refuge in Canada aided by Pakistan’s Intelligence Service Agency and off course the USA and Canada 🫡🫡🫡 Indian government repeatedly pleaded the West to hand over the terrorists but surprise surprise, the West wants to use these elements to keep India in check and support its ally Pakistan. Fast forward, Khalistani sympathisers (Khalistan was a violent separatist movement in Punjab)find their refuge in Canada. Their relatives move in shortly and encourage others from Punjab to do so. Why ?? To build the base for Khalistan movement in Canada against India (all this being supported by the West while India cries its lungs out) 😢😢😢. Canada becomes a mini Punjab for the Khalistani terrorists/sympathisers. The Punjabi culture takes root courtesy of the Khalistanis - brings in more migration. Fast forward to today, the movement is now a tsunami with people from Punjab moving in large numbers. Why ? Because of the Khalistan movement, Punjab got destroyed economically (it was the richest state in India) as a result people are forced to move out. And the best place is their second Punjabi 🫣🫣 ie. Khalistani homeland Canada.

I’m a second gen Indian in Canada born in USA. It’s become so us vs them between locals and immigrants, that Im caught in the middle, I belong no where and everywhere. There’s no room for my voice, because I’m no different then any Canadian or American in how I act but nothing separates me from Punjab and Kashmir other than accident of birth and one generation. My English is NE United States, my French Québécois, my Hindi Dehli,Punjabi Jalandar, Urdu Lahori, and Turkish Ankara. I speak six languages and I’m fluent in none, I’m from three countries yet none of them want me. It would be great if more of these types of investigations included our voices, as we’re neither here nor there yet caught in the middle of all of this.

Brampton has been made home by many Punjabis from India, claiming suppression. In reality nobody is suppressed. In fact, the Punjab state in India is very fertile. India is multi-cultural, Punjab is only 1 part of India and their culture is different from the other Indian states represented in India. The behavior of Punjabi immigrants is not reflective of other Indian cultures in India. For whatever reason there seems to more Punjabi migrants in Canada than from any other state in India. Its the job of Canada to enforce assimilation and immigration rules, they deliberately don't. Littering and defecating in public spaces is illegal in Canada but the Canadian government refuses to enforce those rules.

As a Sikh, born and raised in the US, this is an opinion I've had since this KHALISTAN stuff began. We go to Canada if we miss India, because it's basically become MINI PUNJAB LOL. Another note. The Khalistan topic is all nonsense. I don't know why SO MANY CANADIAN BORN and AMERICAN BORN SIKHS support or push for this. IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE BACK TO KHALISTAN, for sure support it. My parents left India for the lack of opportunities (legally). They knew Punjab has no future, since the Indian nation shrunk it's state borders, and we become a LAND LOCKED state. If this LAND LOCKED COUNTRY were to be established, everything would be ridiculously expensive, and Khalistan would be lucky to become as "successful" as EXPENSIVE Switzerland. As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

i am an indian who has never left his country and it makes me sad that my countrymen are ruining other countries as well. if you can't speak english, you have no right to stay there, as simple as that, and it is strange how Canada is ruined by Punjabis, sikh terrorists in particular, as you can see all these are Punjabi sikh families, yet the hate is given to Indians and specifically to Hindus. I am not defending HINDUS here; there have been incidents where HINDUS have done things worthy of backlash, and they should be deported as well for their absolute religious stupidity, but why target only a specific religion and not the one that has done much worse, like literally being involved in criminal activities and notorious for it not only in Canada but in India as well? Exploited every policy and turned a Canadian city into its own home state city, and then felt proud of it in Indian podcasts: "yeah, Brampton feels like Punjab only."🤡 says a glorified ignorant Punjabi singer.

I am Indian and here we have few states : Punjab, Haryana and Gujurat from where where every mid to low tier graduate wants to move to Canada cause it would be an easy life upgrade. The top tier ones don't go to diploma mills . Mostly they go to top US universities. Canada isn't getting any of these. I was thinking how stupid the Canadian admins could be.

1. Almost 2.5 million Indians are currently living there. The total population is 41.6 million, so about 6% are Indians. The total number of Pakistanis is around 500K, and Bangladeshis about 100K. 2. Out of all these, an estimated 1.5 million people are either overstaying or have entered illegally. 3. Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are also involved in illegal activities (I’m not defending Indians—they are also involved, I’ll come to that). If you ask them, many will claim to be Indians. You can see the same trend in the UK as well. The reason I’m mentioning them is because they have a similar appearance to Indians. 4. Almost half of the Indians in Canada are living there illegally. Why do I say this? Because here in India I personally know many people from Punjab and Haryana who go there. In both states, you can easily find many agents who reassure people that they can send them to Canada or the USA without much difficulty. You can also see the trend among Punjabis—many aspire to drive trucks and cars in Canada. In India, people often see Punjabis as if their only purpose in life is to go to Canada. I love Punjabi people, but I don’t like this mindset. 5. So, the people you see doing disgusting things are most likely illegal immigrants. Why? Because genuine people go there to educate themselves and contribute something meaningful to the culture—not to behave like those individuals. 6. I really hope Canada can recover from this. I have a friend who went there in 2015, and he once told me to visit the country. Canadians are truly amazing, and the natural beauty (except the winter!) is so nice. Please, Canadian government, take some steps for the well-being of your people.❤

Don’t come from North Indian states. Canada is already destroyed by these uncivilized people. Once you are educated and civilized, then come. Otherwise stay in your Gujarat, UP, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and Punjab.

Majority of people migrating to canada are from a single Indian state Punjab, but dont blame them to migrate when your government couldn't do math on how many people it need and invited foreigners desperately to come because its population is getting old without building houses/ without enough jobs.

Immigrants can’t vote, so majorly its not your fault and so is not immigrants fault but the Government that the CITIZENS elected brought immigrants for boosting their dead economy.\n\n4. Controversial but I will say it, Canada is a FRENCH country with English as its second major language. No others language is as prominent, So if you are sure that a brown person is an IMMIGRANT and they can’t even speak ENGLISH properly let alone French, 99% chance he/she is a problem in your country and does labour work.

The root cause of bitterness between Canada and India is Canada sheltering Khalistani extremists who have known history of violence, assassinations, bombings. Recently i had been to canada . I stayed in Vancouver a beautiful city surrey a city 35 kms from Vancouver is full of punjabis where you feel like a punjab state. Everything available there. A nice place.

The headline is misleading as everyone knows citizenship can not be demanded. What these entitled foreign students are demanding is perm residency via extended work permits. Extending permits to five years (as they've demanded) would DESTROY the Canadian economy and have a permanent effect on Canadian identity as well as no end to the housing crisis. Furthermore, many of these students who originate from India's two most poorest and crime ridden states: Punjab and Gujarat, will contribute to the growth of crime cartels, such as the thriving car theft ring targeting cars in the Toronto GTA and the Air Canada gold heist that took place at Toronto Pearson Airport in 2023 resulting in the largest theft in Canadian history ($22.5 million). If you travel through Indian villages mainly in Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi and Southern states every KM you will see study/immigrate to Canada. They will tell you it is very easy as you need to spend only INR2.0Million( CAD 35K) to get there and balance you can work there as part time. Majority of Indians coming to Canada is from low income families who want to become middle class in India . High time Canada regulate its student intake and restrict only to selected universities and courses and stop allowing part time work. High skill immigration is still ok as they are coming based on their merit and point threshold and definitely contributing for Canadas economic growth. Student intake must be controlled .

As an Indian immigrant myself, I have tremendous sympathy for Canadians. \n\nThe so called diploma mills were always a danger but online classes during covid meant they could quadruple their attendance (and thus, their bottom line). The degrees offered by these colleges are worthless and that's why anyone who's moved to Canada in the last 4-5 years is finding it difficult to get meaningful employment.\n\nOn the other side, the Canadian dream really is sold as a cheaper and safer alternative to the American Dream. This is especially rampant in the state of Punjab where people from villages sell their ancestral property to move to Canada as students only to find the stalemate that is the job sector.\n\nThis in turn puts pressure on the economy, the housing market, and the welfare programmes. I think the immigration needs to halt for a while. A LOT of students are lacking in technical and linguistic skills to propel the Canadian economy and society forward and they'll need to not be given Permanent Residencies. PR should go to highly skilled immigrants who are integrating into the Canadian society instead of turning Brampton into mini India.

Look at these protests, how many Indians do you see here representing other states of India. It looks like the protest of state of Punjab.\nMost of these do not even call themselves indian or are proud of Country India. Major chunk of Indian immigrants are from a state in india called Punjab. And most of them belong to Khalistani Ideology which is a violent anti India organisation. Hello, I live in BC, Canada. Canada is currently in a very rough state, and I can only hope things will improve soon. One of the biggest issues is the rampant, uncontrolled immigration. The government invited a flood of people into the country without having the necessary infrastructure in place—jobs, healthcare, housing—to support them. Now they're trying to cap immigration, hoping for a turnaround, but it's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.\n\nCanada's drug and crime policies are an absolute joke. I also have an Instagram account where many students ask me about studying in Canada. I always tell them that if they're doing well in India, they should stay there. The problem isn't just with India's education system—it's with the unrealistic mindset of people wanting to come to Canada.\n\nWe see students desperately going from one store to another, begging for jobs that simply aren't there. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it. When I advise others, they think we're living the dream in Canada while trying to stop them from coming. I moved to Canada 12 years ago, and the country has changed beyond recognition.

Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. The internet is filled with such sting operations by Canadian officials exposing Indian students/immigration consultants. Do check them out. \n\n6. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. It wasn’t like this ever before. In cities like Mississauga, Brampton and Surrey, the Khalistan movement + gangs involved in theft, drugs and human trafficking are from Punjab/Haryana and they have mushroomed here like crazy. A good 30-40% criminals in prison or on bail in these cities are of India ethnicity. \n\nIt is behaviours like these by Indians in the recent few years that has thoroughly infuriated native Canadians and now they hate the rest of us that have lived here peacefully and have been good citizens. There is a very serious, very real anti-immigrant (anti-Indian too) sentiment building up here. \n\n7. Lastly, the student protests that you have highlighted here is absolutely ridiculous! These students from India came to Canada under a student visa knowing fully well that they are supposed to go back after the completion of their studies, and now they are DEMANDING that they be issued extensions in work permits and be considered for PR. This is insane! This is because they never intended to return to India in the first place and were abusing the system as a back door entry. They are threatening to go on hunger strikes and what not. Legally, on a student visa, they are NOT allowed to participate in any sort of activism. \n\nNOBODY that comes to our country on a temporary visa (student, tourist etc.) has the right to dictate terms to us and demand that we change our immigration policies based on their preferences. No, that will not happen. \n\nCanada, like every country, has the sole right and privilege to decide who gets to become a permanent resident or a citizen based on our national priorities and strategic interests. I see nothing wrong in this principle.\n\nThanks for the video and I hope you will consider the other side of this argument as well. Canada alone is NOT at fault here. Immigrants and temporary visitors from India have some soul searching to do as well.

The blunt truth is that the majority of ostensible international students from India coming into Canada happen to be from the state of Punjab and are Sikhs. The state of Punjab is the educational dregs of India as it is mostly agricultural. What is happening is this influx of so-called students from Punjab are in fact hooligans and come to Canada in the guise of being students. But are in fact here to become permanent residents by hook or by crook. This phenomena is a recent development since 2020-21. Prior to that the students who came to Canada from India were genuine students that is why Canada did not see the problems from so-called international students from India prior to 2020-21. Canada really needs to screen carefully for both academic credentials as well as English language facility. These so-called international students cannot speak basic English. How in the world are they going to actually fare in Canadian post-secondary education let alone at University level. Canada is now facing an influx of these hooligans and they ALL need to be deported back to India.

Brampton and Surrey near Vancouver have become mini-ethnic enclaves of Indians, especially from the state of Punjab. When I moved into Brampton initially, 10 years back from India, I was shocked that the main language spoken here is Punjabi and not English ! There was nothing Canadian about this suburb anymore, it just looked like an overseas part of Punjab. That's why I moved out of Brampton within a few months. Even Indian immigrants are now appealing to the current government of Canada to stop this mass and unregulated immigration. This has already ruined Canadian culture and society !
