Thank God for Donald Trump. I really hope all you other countries get it figured out. All these mofuckrs need sent back home.

Problem is the people keep electing liberal progressive woke making policies against its own people. Till people wake up you all going to the drain. We here in US at lease hold the line for a while with Trump in office hoping the next one will continue his fight for his people. Canadians are the one to blame and not this politicians. Elbow up huh??? You really don’t know how Trump trying to save North America and recalibrate it for the goodness of its people living in it.

I thought trump would be different this time around. I was really hoping for his success, but not more than two months into his presidency he fired the very people that voted for him around the board. He crashed the stock market. He became Putins puppet, and he showed the world what a bully is like.

I think Trump doesn't like Trudeau and this is why he is really doing this. Hopefully with new leadership the tarriffs will be lifted.

“Make America great again”this is a slogan for Trump , but now Trump is making America shameful again, this is a horrible situation, the lighthouse of freedom for the world is falling by Trump. This is a tragedy for the US and the world. We really hope things will get better four years later.

As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Hopefully US wises up sooner rather than later and stop blaming immigration for their problems it's poor governing and politicians that have us looking at each other as enemies rather than humans with the same struggle and issues. They have money to send annually overseas but none to improve the life of their citizens in need, that should tell you something. People that don't look like you aren't your enemies, people who try to harm you, undermine you are your enemies. People are just searching for a better life that's all, the most basic thing humans have in common, change the red tape a make things more structured and rid your country of the bad apples and welcome those willing to work, build and serve God and the country. May God help us all the beginning of Sorrows has begun ?.

Sad to see all of this. Really sad. Hopefully, the world will be at peace soon. Trump is smart and very good at making deals, but hopefully his elegance won't lead his intelligence.

Trudeau isn't dumb in stating this bluntly to 'Donald'. Trump needs to get the message (esp. by mass protest from his hopefully former American voters/supporters) just how dumb these US tariffs really are - how they'll cause inflation and stock market collapse the world over. And Trump's aligning himself with the US's manipulative, deceitful enemy Russia is because Trump has been laundering Russian Oligarch's money for decades (from forced prostitution and enslavement, drugs, and small arms sales to terrorists) to finance his real estate empire, ever since his 6 bankruptcies made him a bad risk for US lenders.

I haven't enjoyed much of Trudeau's office, but this he owns. He really laid it down here. It made me proud to be Canadian. He absolutely, kicked ass and I hope he just hammers Trump. Trudeau's level of forthrightness and honesty in this situation is (I think) exactly why people voted for him. It makes me feel like he's going to kick Trump's ass.

Pretty much alk of the world is realizing how dumb this is, and how dumb Trump really is... I only hope that the american ppl react quickly enough to get rid of the Trump administration asap...These tariffs are good for no one, but will hurt everyone.

U.S. here....first, I and most Americans stand with Canada and Ukraine. Second, yes tRUMP made a dumb mistake. But everyone must realize that he really isn't very smart. His own cabinet members from his first term have said so. He doesn't understand things and he doesn't read. I’m European and what Trump is doing is really going to hurt USA the most. \nCause he is putting tariffs on so many. The pain for the countries that get tariffs put on them gets spread out, but for USA it gets to take the blows from all of them who retaliate back. Trump is a bully and thinks like a child without thinking of the consequences. He’s been getting his way for years and running around bullying others. I really hope Canada Mexico whoever trump wants to bully stand on business and does the same. Unfortunately we Americans will be caught in the crossfire but it has to be done.

I don't like Trudeau, but this speech was great. Intelligent when he needed to be, simple when addressing Trump. A strong start to this trade war which as he said, we don't want. The fentanyl excuse is just that an excuse, trump wants to make money from tariffs to give a huge tax break to the billionaires in the USA including musk, he is not worried at all about fentanyl, he doesn't care about other people, but he does care about tax breaks for himself and the billionaires who support him. I support Canada and Mexico in this trump fiasco, and I hope Canada and Mexico really make trump squirm. trump knows tariffs will hurt the US citizens but he knows it will hit the Lower and middle classes the hardest, not causing him and the billionaires nearly as much trouble. As an American right now i feel more strongly patriotic for my Canadian brothers than my own government. What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. I do hope that Canada, EU and Britain will work together, there is no reason Britain and EU cannot replace America as the main trade partners and I have seen plenty of other videos about other asian countries indicating interest in Canada's trade.\n\nBut this is much more than just tariffs, Trump has really gone off the deepend siding with Russia and undermining Ukraine, even undermining the sanctions, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trading with Russia, using whatever bizarre pretext he chooses.\n\nThese should already be red flags to Canada, there is a long standing relationship with the UK and Ukraine, but Canada is only reacting on the tariffs, which detracts from what other action they might have taken.\n\nThe imposition of these tariffs should be the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that if America repeals these tariffs that Canada will still diversify so that they don't ever end up in this situation again.

I hope Canada And Mexico doesn't back down. Fucking hate Trump. Lies after Lies and guess what people defend him. Not My president people say. And the truth is that the reason for the tariffs is that Trump has direct control over them, and can probably have Elon do something with the revenue that couldn't be done with normal taxes. We're all getting screwed here.

Meanwhile I’m struggling to pay my bills and keep groceries on the table for my disabled son and I. I can’t even get a snap card… and I’ve paid taxes for over 25 years and was born here. I used to think Pres. Trump was being too hard on Canada then I got a look at the tariffs they impose on our goods. Some as high as 250%. I think Trump just wants a level playing field and a lot of help from Canada on the border. I think Poilievre feels the need to talk tough in response but I think he really wants the same things as Trump. I hope Poilievre becomes PM because he's conservative and I think he'll work well with Trump as they're both conservative nationalists.

Only time will tell who will really suffer. But I do hope this would only be a short term. Trump only wants to re-negotiate in my opinion. This is his way to start talking.

Really I'm Sorry about your situations as it seems a lot of peoples whom like you. I Believe when the beautiful hidden arrangements of destiny which is always surprising the clean people like you. That is why ? US President Mr. Trump has rise the right decision at right the time to involving Canada under the USA authority as new American State for rehabilitation the miserable situations available at the Canadian Nation which shocking me personally. As long as I'm was always dreaming to continue my higher educations at Canadine Academies due to the positive feedback of the educational system at Canada ? considered as one of the best in World. It’s number five in the world for importing the exporting Number one is the USA ?? . I just wanna let that sink in. I really do hope that President Trump and the president of Mexico I hope they both come to an agreement because it will not be beneficial for both parties. At least the one who’s gonna fill it. The most will be US. It’s just gonna force Mexico to look elsewhere not to mention Mexico was back by the US dollar to an extent, and it also has the back of the euro force along with the Chinese currency Mexico forced to be reckoned with not to mention all the car companies that are being Located in Mexico cars that enter in and exit Mexico in the car market not to mention Mexico now has the biggest cobalt mining probably in the world if I’m not mistaken Mexico is now in demand. Mexico knows this now but it’s not stronger than the US but if the US no longer cooperates with Mexico in Mexico, no longer cooperates with the US well it’s gonna be pretty sad not to mention the amazing history they have Like when Mexico along with Brazil defended the US when they were crippled by Japan and when Mexico went to help liberate during the Nazi invasion in Austria, Mexico has a great history of warfare and defending this country as well. Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. My hope is that we get this issue behind us with fairness and compassion, without sending the message that you can just come here without due process.
