I’m the son of Indian immigrants who came into Melbourne, Australia 34 years ago, my mom came with her family of 8 and my father came here by himself. The exact same thing is happening over here. We have suburbs in our eastern side which have turned into pockets of Punjab and Haryana. We have been in the restaurant industry for 30 years now, these students are taking our cash in what is a ‘cashless economy’. We’ve had one particular instance where a former employee faked her marriage certificates in order to get her permanent residency, now she’s in trouble with the authorities and may face some years in jail. The problem is they like taking ‘shortcuts’ and then they get stuck and expect us as employers to save them. The systems put into place have been exhausted to the point where is it useless.

Protesting in another country where you are a student is not allowed and the act itself can get you deported. However, the scams the Canadian colleges and universities do in countries like India and Pakistan is terrible. These students pay almost double the money local kids do. They r most times highly qualified and have availed of an opportunity offered by these institutes. When such things happen, its obvious that they are unhappy. I think the Indian government needs to start issuing advisory. I don't think its worth it, I wish people understood this. The US, Germany/Europe,UK even Australia is much different. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. As a European who lived for 3 years in Canada, I have to say that Canadians - as much as I love them - are very entitled. They live in a bubble and don't realise how good they have it. \n\nTheir country is beautiful, the lifestyle is phenomenal even if you aren't rich. A lot of things they complain about like rising house prices, food costs, and political divide is literally happening everywhere - I'm really not sure why they think only Canada is struggling with this right now. Perhaps because on their strong currency they can go and live like Kings in somewhere like Portugal or Bali, but then they don't realise that they are bringing over the cost of living crisis and making things harder for locals when they do that. \n\nThey want things to be perfect, which isn't something to discourage but they don't realise how much harder life is like in most other countries on the planet. The only ones who appreciated it were the people who had lived for a few years in the UK or Paris or Australia, or somewhere else they imagined that life was easier and then ended up actually miserable and actually struggling - and then soon fly back to Canada. I have to say though I do love the sense of always wanting things to be better, whilst in Europe we tend to accept having less, less options and struggle to the extent that we don't even see it as struggle.

I am a Kenyan living in Toronto for 8years now. Most people coming from outside who did enough research on the cost of living and getting work often find success. Having met a few of the Kenyans who were featured in the newsclip (which was totally gaslighting type news) the common theme is that they moved to Canada - first on refugee status, without sufficient research on cost of living, the timeline between their refugee status and getting a work permit to start working and expectations of the kind of jobs they can get as a new immigrant to Canada. I moved here as a student and even with over 10years prior work experience, I had to start from the bottom and worked up. And this happens even to people moving here from UK, Australia etc, its not a bias toward people of color. Things are hard everywhere !!

They are literally replacing their population and Canadian culture is dying along with it. The same thing is sadly happening in Australia. Oh yeah, not to mention 90% of these immigrants are settling in like 5 urban areas. You can tell this is a recipe for disaster.

O c'mon guys what are u talking about Australia, it's an amazing country we are living here in since 2014. We are well settled here and enjoying life. Canada just looks amazing in summer not in harsh winters. Australia is a much better option than Canada, just wait and let things happen.

Even in the regional area you will find more and more friendly people. Its all about accepting their culture and be respectful about that. Regarding visas and invitation its all about your skills, experience and your english fluency, if you are above the competition you will surely get nominated. Anyways everyone has their own point of views and their own struggles in life which all have to go through it. Just be patience and give it sometime, things will happen earlier or later.
