This is the system: Student immigrates to Canada on a student Visa, gets a Diploma which they use to get a Post-Graduation Work Permit, this is used to get Permanent Residence (PR). After 3 years apply for Citizenship, which makes it easier to bring their parents into Canada. Those parents apply for PR, then wait 3 years, after which they can also apply for Citizenship. If they are 55+ years old, they don't need to take the test or prove they can speak the English. They just apply and get become Citizens. All of this while enjoying the benefits of a Socialized Healthcare, Old Age Pension after 65+, Canada Child Benefit paid to parents with kids under 18, and more. This is not a sustainable economic model, we WILL run out of money. Technically we already have 😂

Break down from a Canadian who moved to the US. Basically, Indians moved to Brampton because it was a cheaper area, yet close enough to Toronto. Immigrants drove taxi or drove truck usually were paid in cash, leading to tax evaluation. So they were able to save more... They were able to buy a bigger house for cheaper basically. New immigrants move to Brampton probably cause it easier. They don't need to assimilate as much as they sued to. They can speak their own language, not have to learn another, etc. You can actually see certain immigrant groups take to certain cities for the reasons above. Only Indians teachers are hired through this made up "Colleges". Sponsoring extended family chains (parents, siblings, cousins) who contribute nothing but drain resources. Elderly parents, who have never paid Canadian taxes, access healthcare and social services immediately, overburdening hospitals while their families use nursing homes as a last resort. Bribing for driver's licenses abroad, leading to reckless, entitled driving on Canadian roads. These tactics exploit loopholes, bypassing fair processes meant for genuine contributors. 3. Strain on Resources and Job Market The rapid population growth is unsustainable: High birth rates (far above Canada's replacement level) are used strategically to "populate" the country and secure more benefits. Taking jobs from Canadians in government, police, education, healthcare, and beyond—often through nepotism and "cutting in line" for their networks. For example IRCC Director - Harpreet Kochhar Deputy Minister - Pemi Gill and Aiesha Zafar who have no idea where the 79,000 illegal Indians are in Canada. Remove these Minister from their position. They are incompetent in the jobs. Fraud = Predominant country = India. Nepotism is rampant in their community and their class system mentality. Call to Action: Policy Reforms Now Cap and pause Indian immigration until assimilation metrics improve. End chain migration and fake college scams—require proven contributions before PR/citizenship. Enforce assimilation: Mandate public schools, cultural integration tests, and community service. Protect Canadians first: Prioritize housing, jobs, and services for citizens. I don't care if this is labeled "racist"—the evidence is clear. Indians are not here to build Canada; many are here to overtake it. Canadians have to act before it's too late.

I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

When I legally arrived in Canada with PR, Indian people were all happily telling me how they worked the system to not have a long wait like I did. They are even abusing the spousal visa and getting paid in excess of 50k to marry another Indian person and bring them over.

Um so tired of going to a store all immigrants working. Make a phone call it's answered by an immigrant. You can't understand them . I love on ccpd I don't get old age pension yet. I'm too old to get the child tax credit and I'm on a Canada pension disability. I get 713.00 a min to live on. Period. That's it. 😢😢😢 I struggle every day. I live in a seniors housing complex..so my rent is adjusted to fit my income. Thank God for housing I'd be homeless if it wasn't for them. 😢😢 But the immigrants have money. Have jobs. Drive new cars. Get free rent for a year. I waited 9.5 hours at the emergency😢😢 not the Indians they have Indian drs that work there for them. How in the hell is this ok. They even have an advertisement in the emergency room in their language with all the Indian drs working there. Wtf is going on. I'm tired of seeing these people. They are opening businesses here. While an increase of five years may seem unfair or lengthy, it is essential. If buying a house is the only requirement for citizenship, wouldn't a large portion of the global population be eligible for U.S. citizenship just by investing in U.S. businesses or stocks? This perspective may seem illogical when looking at it from outside the box. Apologies for being a bit wordy; I had much more to say. Nonetheless, I also support temporary residency for up to 6-9 months for those who have been evacuated due to war, natural disasters, or similar circumstances. Special exceptions can be granted for families with members working in critical fields that merit such considerations (high-end industry).

As a Canadian who has lived my whole life here, in my opinion there were two major factors that need to be highlighted that started this mess: fiscal policy and focus on fringe politics. First, Canada came out of the 2008 meltdown relatively unscathed due to following a markedly different strategic path than other major countries, namely tight banking regulations as well as 15 years of paying down the national debt. However, several years after 2008, sentiment shifted to adopting the same MMT-led fiscal policies as other nations: lower interest rates and deficit spending. Secondly, at least 10 years ago, there was a major political shift to start emphasizing fringe social issues (climate, race-based, gender, etc.) instead of standard issues such as the economy or military to name two, and it was strongly evident in academia and in the media. The result was little governmental, public or media attention being paid to core economic concerns such as the massive growing government and consumer debt levels, highly inflationary housing market, or decreasing productivity. When COVID hit, the government further doubled the existing federal debt and when they found that unsustainable, opened the doors to massive immigration levels to bring the Debt-per-Capita ratio down which while helping in that one metric, has further inflated the housing market all while forcing wages down. We now have unsustainable public debt levels, unaffordable housing, decreasing wages, decreasing productivity, and a troubling reactionary political swing towards extremist right-wing ideologies. Top that off with the US administration seeing Canada is on an economic precipice and threatening to take the country over, there couldn't be a more perfect storm.

Sounds like customer wanted to pay with cash and get change. Delivery guy thought he wasn’t supposed to get paid in cash and so didn’t bring changed. I want to bring attention to the fact that when an Airline submits a Record of Employment (ROE) to Service Canada for flight crew. The hours the company puts for insurable hours is the hours per month based on the pay hours not the actual amount of hours worked. Pilots for example are usually paid based on 80 hours of flying per month, actual time in the air. However, we all know it takes a lot more work to get an airplane ready to fly. These are the Duty Hours, the actual hours worked. The Airlines do not use the Duty Hours for the Records of Employment. The rules regarding insurable hours does state that it is the actual real world hours worked or as close as possible to that number. Something needs to be done because it is not fare for a full time employee to then be given an ROE with just 80 hours of insurable hours per month when they actually could work way more than that. Please someone investigate and report on this.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. Most farms don't ever make a profit after the yearly operating cost is deducted from earnings, and the little profit that on occasion appear, goes right back into paying debt or reinvesting in renewing long overdue old equipment.\n\nMy position, and all those similar to mine in agriculture, are in all fairness, very low skilled, with minimum training, and therefore is only worth minimum wage, in my opinion. I was actually offered a higher amount but in the end turned it down because on the job, I discovered the only thing I bring to the table is manual labor (I know that's not really the right way to go about wages, but I do believe that wages should be based on the irreplaceableness of one's skills, and as it stands, although no replacements were ever found, I am very much easily replaceable, skill wise). That, compared to a slightly better paid Starbucks position, with benefits (most farm workers and owners don't have benefits or pension, yes owners too), air conditioning, regular work hours. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

Besides, low wage jobs are a good opportunity for youngsters to learn good skills while earning some money on the side to save for college. You need people to fill up roles in corporate jobs to boost production, because Canada is seriously behind in technology. Healthcare needs serious people too. There is no point in bringing promising doctors and healthcare practitioners who can improve healthcare services and the number of capable doctors here, but have them working low wage jobs instead to make ends meet. That is unfair to those people and unfair to Canadians who need good medical services in lieu of the taxes that they pay. Canadian Experience is a joke and a very cheap trick played by the incumbent government to swindle good, deserving people of their hard-earned money.\n\nEnough of bringing in refugees into Canada and destroying the economy by giving them handfuls of money paid by Canadians themselves.
