Australia??here, great speech Prime Minister Trudeau. America has a strong history with its allies UK, Canada, Japan and Australia but these tariffs undermine these relationships and call into question America's trustworthiness going forward. America will become increasingly isolated which plays directly into China's and Russia's interests.

I’m Canadian. My family have always been Liberals but I’m not much of a Trudeau fan myself. For today, it doesn’t matter whether you like the man or not, Trudeau deserves a standing ovation for his speech and the actions he is taking. Crazy to see how relations have broken down between our two countries and sad for all my great American friends and thanks for your support but anyone with half a mind could see this coming. So many Americans, even republican voters, now waking up to the cold reality of a treasonous, mad president allied to a Russian mad man, isolating the US from the rest of the world. I don't like Trudeau, but this speech was great. Intelligent when he needed to be, simple when addressing Trump. A strong start to this trade war which as he said, we don't want. I hope along with Ford we hit America where it hurts. Maybe when their groceries skyrocket in price and their trucks are gone they'll really see where their votes went.\n\nI personally can attest I'm no longer buying DOOM: The Dark Ages, or games on Steam for that matter. His speech was not only eloquent and well addressed. I loved the paused, calm but firm way in which he spoke. I'm European and I am so proud about Mr. Trudeau and his team. What an intelligent people. The speech is simple to understand but together it is so strong and says all that matters. Applause. 20-40 years ago US was seen as a dream country here in EU, every east European dreamed to live there, but not anymore. Today most would not go to US to live even if they are payed to do so. US reputation is in historical downfall.

Please, Mr. Trudeau, please say that Donald Trump is the culprit, not America in its entirety. We are protesting the takeover of our country and will not cease trying to get rid of this administration that has hijacked our country. Don't get me wrong: This is sick and sad at the same time! Stand strong, Canada! Europe stands with you! Maybe we Europeans are going to import a lot more goods from you now, because Europe already plans to import much less from the... whatever is left over of the USA. Kudos to Trudeau for giving an elegant speech. I did not vote for Trump, aka Felon #47, for obvious reasons. He is a racist, unfit for the office and a damn FELON! It appears all of our allies have strong leaders. But the not the USA. We have a felon for the President that cannot form a complete sentence; unless he is talking about hate. Trump needs to resign.

Politics are like a pendulum. In my youth the right was largely the unreasonable voice; strong conservative policies derived in part by religious values that didn’t mesh with more progressive mainstream views. There was also a small but perceivable undertone of anti-imigration and racist sentiment in Canada's rural areas. Now the pendulum has swung far to the left. Now the extremists are on the left, killing free speech, mandating bodily harm, and cramming a nonsensical woke ideology down our throats. The voice of reason is now right of center. If I had to compare the two I would say that the current left ideology has been far more damaging. I hope that the next election will be the start of a new Canadian renaissance and that the pendulum doesn't swing too far to the right. No single politician has done more to destroy Canadian pride, economics, and world standing than Justin Trudeau.
