Tariffs incoming to Canada after seeing loose regulations 😅

Canada cannot survive a trade war. They will go broke while we go back to being self sufficient. Canada is a communist parasite governed country. 60% of Canadas income is from the USA. Pay the tariffs or parish.

From the Midwest U.S, I support Canada and Mexico! We don’t want tariffs. We want ALL our economy to prosper! Not to crash them down! Otherwise, if we place tariffs, ALL OF US will be hurt. ALL COUNTRIES. ALL citizens regardless of income levels will feel it. \n\nRising egg prices? Just tonight (as of the evening of March 4) he blames it on Biden and the administration when he’s not even the president! Trudeau's desperation and fanaticism are unmatched, he is sacrificing the economy and the Canadian people for his ineptitude and fanaticism, the tariffs are a consequence of his total negligence in allowing laboratories and trafficking of Fentanyl in Canada, in addition to his fanatical support for the corrupt puppet of Biden and the globalist left Zelensky. Simply his fanaticism and ignorance lead him to claim an economic war with America, he forgets that the poorest state in the USA has a per capita income higher than the richest state in Canada! Its economy depends on America for more than 287 billion annually! This political arrogance is only the confirmation of his lack of leadership and is dealing a fatal blow to the Canadian economy.

Trump is attempting to offset his tax cuts by implementing a tax that isn't called a tax. All of the money from the tariffs goes to the government. Trump has mentioned when tariffs were common as supporting what he is doing, but he doesn't add that at that time, there wasn't an income tax, so tariffs were how the government supported itself. Trump, knowing that tariffs are income for the government, is lying to his base so they will accept the increased prices as a necessary evil to battle the bad countries of Mexico and Canada. It will look like his tax breaks aren't hurting as much as they are and price increases will be the fault of the other countries.\n\nTrump is a conniving grifter with no knowledge of how to run a country's economy or international trade. He is gaslighting the American public to cover his own shortcomings.\n\nAlso, if fentanyl is entering the US, why is it the fault of the other countries? It is the job of the US to stop anything on its side of the border. Canada and Mexico do what they can to catch the drugs while inside their respective countries. The tons of cocaine and guns that enter Canada and Mexico from the US are caught by their border services; they don't blame the US for the products getting past their own border agents, and the US takes no responsibility for it making it across the border. Why is it other countries' fault for drugs getting past the US's border agents, but not the fault of the US that guns and drugs are going in the other direction? That is why countries work together, not fight over whose fault it is and try to punish each other.

Whom did these dumb and dumber punish when they introduces the 25% tariff? The customers, in both the USA and Canada. The seniors on fixed minimum income that we cannot effort buying fresh food coming from the USA.

It all relates to Corporate Income taxes. It's about transfer pricing where they pay no Corporate income taxes in US.\nTransfer pricing For example:\nApple iPhone manufacture an iPhone in China for $300. They sell it to an Apple subsidiary call it Apple international located in a low tax or no tax domicile for $300. So No income tax. Say they sell it to Apple USA for $700 . No taxes owed by Apple international . Apple USA sells it in US for $700. Bought it for $700 = no taxes owed. BUT APPLE CLEARED $400 CASH. \nThat's with no tariffs. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

No matter who pays the tariffs and who it hurts, the end result is that billions will be paid into the government coffers of both USA and Canada. Of course Trump & Musk want to use that to benefit billionaire oligarchs, but what will Canada do with the new income? Maybe much could go to Ukraine to compensate US disgusting withdrawal of support??

Maybe Trudeau can use the tariff incomes to expand Canadas military? I suggest pilot training and recruitment in the RCAF and RCN.

Those US citizens who did not vote for tRump and we support Canada. My husband is a retired Airborne Ranger who worked cooperatively with military personnel from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, and other democratic countries around the world. We are just sick about how tRump has treated our allies. He is a bully and a draft dodging coward. We don’t blame any of our NATO allies who apply pressure through tariffs, etc to give tRump the consequences he deserves for his bad behavior. He is hurting the US country and its citizens, being cruel to their people lower income US citizens. Middle and lower class US citizens are going to be suffering under his US as he is trying to get rid of every program that helps us live with dignity. He is hurting our farmers. We know that he is a narcissistic psychopath. Most of us can’t wait until he and JD Vance are out of office, and hopefully in prison. They don’t care how many US citizens they hurt with their greedy megalomaniac agenda. We are sorry that our administration is being so unreasonable and hope you can forgive the rest of the US citizens that never wanted this situation with you and our other NATO allies.

I’m sorry that Trump is so unreasonable. Trump only cares about the income that will benefit the rich, himself and power. The tariffs will effects jobs and people. Trump is an embarrassment to most of the people here. Elon Musk help him win the election by paying people to vote for Trump which I think should be against the law. Trump is putting the USA in a very dangerous place. Most of us stand with Canada and Ukraine but no one can bring Trump to reason. I really think Trump is plain outride stupid. Please keep fighting for Canada.

Tariffs look like taxes, now the governments will receive more money, both US and Canada. Easy way to boost government income.

Trump’s tariffs (/geo-economic warfare)—and his desire to annex Canada and Greenland and seize back control of the Panama Canal—has got little to do with immigration or drugs coming into the US (whatever happened to Build the Wall?) especially in the case of Canada. It’s about debt and power, the former growing, the latter fading. Trump himself has said tariffs are a means to make America wealthy and to abolish income tax. It’s got to do with America living outside its means with massive deficits and ballooning debt, and rather than take responsibility for that, the US thinks others should pay (when US consumers will) for it to continue to live outside its means, while it cuts taxes largely to the benefit of the wealthy... \nRemember when Iraq invaded Kuwait, how it said it was because Kuwait (and the United Arab Emirates) caused a drop in oil prices with the overproduction of crude oil, thus impacting Iraq’s ability to pay its debts and recover from the Iran-Iraq war, but really it was about seizing Kuwait’s large oil reserves, canceling the debt it owed Kuwait, and expanding its power in the region… Sound similar?
