Journalism is very important for sure, but empathy is even more important. People from 1st world countries will never understand how is it to live on a place that was colonized by the 1st world countries, can only guess about it. Thank you for your commitment to hearing many sides of the story. My brother is a journalist in NYC and he also amplifies voices that are so often drowned out by louder, flashier ones. As a Canadian, who was born in South Africa, but have grown up in BC since elementary school, I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity this country has given my family. We all work hard to build on the values shared in this nation. I love learning about aspects of Canada that I am unfamiliar with, but ultimately help shape its identity. 🙏

Very well done video & Thank YOU for showcasing the point of view from "real Canadians". As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! But that would be another hornets nest because our parliament will debate over definition of "Canadian Culture" for decades. Welcome to Canada!😂

Canadian here. Didn't know about the American copay for doctor visits !!! For a comparison I had something wrong last year and had to go daily to doctor appointments for over a month. I spent money on gas, 1 parking ticket (messed up one day with free on street parking), and a huge box of Tim Hortons doughnuts for the clinic staff as a thank you gift when it was all over ❤ the copay sounds horrific and explained so much. Thank you for sharing your experience in America.

I'm a Canadian Syrian, and I have nothing against Indians—in fact, they've helped me a lot in many ways. I just want to share a friendly piece of advice, and I don’t mean to sound racist or anything. It's just something to be aware of.\n\nIn downtown, it's common to see large gatherings where people are dancing, playing loud music, and sometimes drifting cars. There's also a tendency for loud phone conversations on public transport, which can be seen as disruptive since people here are generally more sensitive to noise in public spaces.\n\nThat being said, I have no hate at all—one of my best friends is Indian, and I really appreciate how they always support me without expecting anything in return. Just wanted to share this as an observation. Thanks!

A big point being missed here. These are not Mexicans. They are from Venezuela. I know to MAGA they are all the same, brown people. But Mexico is having to support a border that we were told was open. Extra personnel and extra expense because they happen to border the US. What thanks do they get? Orange face telling them to pay their share and insulting them. Don't forget he promised to make them pay for the wall last time. How well did that go for him?

This President thinks everyone will just bow down to him. Now it's his headache where to drop these migrants. Such a big mansion in Florida can't even share it to someone who are struggling to put food in the table. Thanks to the Colombian President. Imagine watching your family members shackled in that plane. Sir these migrants have hopes in their hearts that life would be better as soon as they reach your country but no sending them back like all of them are criminals. As a Canadian I see my churches getting burned, I have been spit in my face by Muslim people either because I am not covered, but I’m Canadian why should I, right? I came across this video thanks to the incredible beautiful Alina, and it inspired me to share a bit of my own story. Twelve years ago, I landed with just $1,000 in hand and built two companies that together have generated over $10 million. And full disclaimer I live in Victoria, BC so I can share my POV from the Canadian side:\n\nThere's toomuch of low skilled cheap labour coming in from Punjab and other countries like Nigeria, Philippines, etc. Its gotten sooo bad now that even Indians living in Canada are feeling like this is not what we came for.\n\nI can't even start with how bad the immigration has gotten, people can barely and I mean barely speak English and they are working for all possible low skilled jobs. Tim Hortons, Uber delivery, Uber Cabs, Petrol pumps I mean what is going on.\n\nRight now its getting to Canadians, and you need to understand that Canadians need these low skilled jobs for themselves too but employers are finding extremely cheap labour from other places to replace Canadians.\n\nSo if you ask me this move is good, it will surely hurt the skilled labour class too but its needed. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective. Now add to this others coming in from Africa and South East Asia and you can see this country get worse honestly.\n\nThis isn't hate against anyone, its just facts.
