Canada’s immigration system is being exploited by many international students, temporary workers, illegal immigrants, and even tourist visa holders. IRCC is now granting repeated extensions on tourist visas. Why are they allowing these extensions? What are these individuals expected to do in Canada for years? Many tourist visa holders have been in Canada for several years — not necessarily because they refuse to leave, but because IRCC keeps extending their status. Some of these individuals end up working illegally, taking jobs from Canadian youth and citizens, and adding pressure to the housing market. The increasing numbers of asylum claimants, international students, temporary work permit holders, tourist visa holders, and undocumented individuals are placing strain on Canada and its citizens. IRCC needs to strictly follow the law and enforce regulations. If not, Canada’s immigration system will continue to be exploited, and abusive individuals or even criminals could find it easier to enter the country.

The truth about why the driving sucks. The government has hired a bunch on Indian immigrants to run our version of the “dmv” and they issue other Indians full licenses without ever doing the written driving test or practical driving test. So they get real licenses without ever being tested or having to practice with a full licensed driver for 9 month to a year before getting their G2 which is the middle license after a G2 and 5 years you then do another driving test and get you G license (specific to Ontario). They just walk in pay and leave with a G license. The other corrupt part of this is the licenses issuers have a quota of fails to hit every day and because they pass all the Indians they fail the white kids and adults to meet their quota. We actively avoid getting our licenses at heavily Indian populated areas to avoid being failed solely because we are white and they need to meet their quota. This is becoming increasingly more difficult as the government continues to bring in an unsustainable number of Indian immigrants

The government of Canada allowed these Indians to come to Canada in excessive large numbers. They abuse every system of Canada, change the culture of Canada, buy out all businesses in Canada, and employ only their own Indians. They don't drive for licenses, they own the depot, and they don't need credits for loans at the banks because they own the banks. They fight out and make it difficult for all other ethnic groups in Canada. Justin Trudeau seems to have allowed 90% of Indians to immigrate to Canada and 10% of other ethnic backgrounds combined. Trudeau has caused the Canadian culture to be transformed into Indian culture. Canada is no longer Canada. it's become India, and it's extremely unfair to all other ethnic groups. Their agenda is for Canada to be 100% Indians. Canada is in BIG TROUBLE. The Indians are in every organizations and industries, including Immigration, buying out all the franchises, businesses and are the ones fighting against all other ethnic cultured groups, making the system more difficult for other nations to migrate to Canada. Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

Let me explain the trading relationship briefly that occurs between Canada and the US for context. \n \nCanada Has a LOT of natural resources, more than our domestic manufacturing base needs (Uranium fuel, Lumber/paper products, Steel and other metals, Fertilizer for farms...etc). Therefore we sell those raw materials to the states where they are manufactured into goods, which we then buy back. a LOT of American service companies like tech, media (And yes, even banks)...etc also operates in Canada as well. (For the auto sector the parts flip back and forth across the border like 8 times) \n \nThis relationship alone has the American economy see a large trade surplus with Canada, however there is another element to it: Energy. \n \nCanada is also home to a LARGE amount of really cheap renewable hydro power in the east, and a LOT of oil in the west, due to a lack of infrastructure we really can only sell that oil to the states and therefore it is done at a discount. America refines this cheap oil into gas and is a large part of the reason why American gas is so cheap. They use this energy to power the same factories mentioned above. (Oh and also the NE states import a lot of that clean hydro electricity for the same reasons) \n \nThe US Buys SO MUCH of that cheap energy from us to power your industrial base, that it swings the numbers on the trade balance into a small deficit for the USA. (41 billion out of a TRILLION dollars total trade, or about -4.1% of total trade so literally a pretty small deficit) It also swing back and forth every year so \n \nThen comes Trump. He wants Canada as a 51st state and own the entire continent, therefore he manufactures an excurse that our border is leaky and that migrants and fentanyl are flowing over. (In actual case migrants and the flow of Fent is about 1% the amount that's crossing at the Mexico border but he needs an excuse) \n \nHe therefore puts 25% tariffs on us. Those tariffs will hit Canada harder than the 2008 financial crisis just for scale. \n \nOh and also for the most part American Refineries literally cant process any other oil than ours or Venezuela's because its thicker so tariffs on our oil will also really increase the priced of energy in the states by a huge amount just for the LOLs. As we've seen during the post covid recovery, since gas is priced in to the supply chain at every step (Manufacturing, transportation...etc), any increase at the pump will snowball into higher costs for everything at the store, on top of the extra cost of the tariffs on consumers. (Since every step will need to add it into their markup.)

A passport's ranking depends on how many countries its holder can visit visa-free and how many offer a visa on arrival. To boost India's ranking, the foreign mission could focus on increasing the number of countries Indian citizens can travel to without needing a visa.

The big problem is that Canada increased immigration without having the infrastructure for them. Immigrants tend to move to major populations like Toronto, Vancouver, etc because there are typically more jobs, so these towns had their numbers increase faster than our social net could handle. Secure the border? Yes. Prioritize deporting those who have committed crimes? Yes. I'm pretty sure that the govt have done an immigration freeze before. Many applications were just halted and nothing happened for several months. As an indian who aspires to go abroad i think the immigration policies need to be much more strict because in future these numbers are only going to increase rapidly and more of educated indians are going to avoid canada and the uneducated ones will just keep on spawning there under these immigration circumstances

Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Here are some thoughts - 1) Stop issuing PRs to unskilled workers by revising the point system and tightening eligibility criteria. 2) do not grant PR to old parents until their child has become a citizen. they should not be allowed to work for more than 10 hours a week. 3) Limit social security benefits for immigrants during their first three years, allowing only essential healthcare for critical issues. 4) Halt the practice of granting easy citizenship. Extraordinary talent should be eligible for citizenship after three years, while others should only qualify after paying taxes for five years within the last ten. 5) Stop issuing LMIAs that are quite frequently misused for cheap labor. 6) Restrict work permits to a maximum of 5K per year until demand increases. 6)Limit the number of refugees to no more than 10K per year. In addition to these points, all existing loopholes must be closed.

It's multifaceted. Liberals opened up the flood gates with policies making it very easy for people to immigrate to Canada and increased immigration numbers. It's no longer tied to what Canada can support based on services, resources, and housing. It's simply: Come on in. Second, I've watched a few videos on Youtube showing how immigration is almost a form of trafficking at this point. Immigration companies are making money hand over fist promising the moon to students and people who want a better life and when these poor people get here they end up in crowded lodging with horrible job prospects. A lot of this goes back to the government laxing immigration policies and not being firm on how much we can bring in. This tsunami of immigration has impacted health services, governmental services, and the lives of Canadians. We need to do this smart or not at all. We need some amount of immigration. But most people are feeling the pinch in terms of cost of living and housing. So they've soured to the idea of more people right at a time when the government sharply increased the numbers of immigrants being admitted. home ownership is out of control in Canada because of Chinese moneys in real estate. I understand this is targeting Justin but the real issue is the Chinese investment pushing up prices to unreasonable levels. This is happening in other countries like Greece. New millionaires are picking up real estate in record numbers and thousands of new millionaires are being created in countries like India and China. Many of this could be money laundering like Russians and Chinese do in London and Dubai. What Canada needs to do is make it more expensive for overseas investors to buy homes, crackdown on criminal investments, increase the stock of homes, and reduce construction costs. Trudough does not have the balls to do any of this, as liberals generally lack discipline to be financially prudent.

The reliance on tuition dollars to cover basic operational costs is an inevitable result of decades of government austerity policies that have systematically gutted the post-secondary and other public sectors. The disparity between domestic and international tuition costs followed, a disparity that has been gradually increasing as universities find themselves in increasingly desperate financial situations - with limited sources of revenue. Rent will keep increasing as there is no competitive market. as many of the people in Canada are already operating carousel tax fraud. Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants

Canada is in a catch 22 situation: We need to reduce immigration to restore the trust needed to build prosperity (the research on this is absolutely clear - see Putnam, et al, for example.), and we need to maintain it to make up for labor shortages. The fact is, polls show that trust is at an all-time low between Canadians, and it is due to bringing in too many people who are self-segregating and not assimilating. We pumped massive excess cash into our economy during COVID, did not produce enough housing, introduced laws that severely constrained agriculture and dramatically increased the costs of food distribution, and brought in massive numbers of immigrants, among other things. The fact is, we have crushed the birth rate, made homes too expensive, and raised the cost of living to a point where people are desperate, and our school system has destroyed the enterprising spirit that built our economy in the first place.

Canada needs immigrants in order to thrive. Every country does. But to keep increasing the numbers to record levels when the country has a serious lack of affordable housing, galloping inflation, a health care system that is in crisis mode and a government that does not recognize professionals' foreign credentials is frankly ridiculous. Heard a man say the other day that if you want a doctor in Canada, hail a cab.

I honestly don’t see how increasing numbers of newcomers and international students could help build more houses in Canada. The point based immigration system has nothing to do with construction or trades workers. You now need to have at least master’s or PhD degree, speak both English and French and have 3 years of skilled experience to be able to qualify for express entry in Ontario. Is that a profile of someone who wants to live here and build houses, seriously?

Our current crises here in Canada are largely due to recent, unreasonable immigration targets. I'm not anti-immigration - we need immigration - but some questions need to be asked. 1. Are newcomers actually being matched to the areas in which we have labour shortages? The short answer is NO. 2. Would it not be more sensible to increase immigration in ratio to our ability to build new housing? Instead of the total disconnect we have now. Especially if many of the newcomers aren't actually being employed in construction industries? 3. We've had labour shortages and housing bubble issues for over a decade at least; how did the labour shortage crisis and housing crisis suddenly get so bad? Short answer: they didn't. Unreasonable immigration took a shaky situation and pushed it over into crisis almost overnight. 4. Most of our universities and colleges are now relying on international student fees to meet their budgets. Most of them are now operating as businesses, including property developers, instead of educational institutions. (I'm a university prof - 20+ years teaching - I can't believe the changes I've seen in our postsecondary system .) Who is tracking the number of international students who are here 4 plus years and apply for PR after graduation? What is happening with the manipulation of statistics re: international students and/vs immigration? There is a significant statistical overlap that is not being disclosed to the Canadian public. I feel like we have not even started to hit the major trouble yet. I am not sure how people will be able to handle the massive mortgage increases, pay massive rent increases and afford crazy prices for needs like groceries. All this on top of bringing in record numbers of newcomers.

Swedish man here. I need to say many people I know in my country are quite worried by the number of school shootings you have each year. But I should not be surprised with your 350 mil+ population and gun laws. And we are also seeing these problems increase in Sweden these recent years, and all of Europe.

It is widely known that the irresponsible and incompetent JT government has done nothing constructive for our country and its citizens. You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. The problem is apparently the lack of people in Canada having kids. Some are trying, but unable (infertile for whatever reason), while others don't want children for various reasons, including the cost to raise them. So the government is resorting to ever increasing numbers of immigration to supply the economy with workers. This has been going on for quite a long time, though the numbers have increased dramatically in recent years. I wonder if the government has statistics on the success rate of those they bring into the country?
