Here's my life in canada. denied work. 22years ago a family of four newcomers - mom, dad and two kids, from Pakistan, moved in next door to us in a small south west Ontario city. Beautiful neighbourhood with lovely homes. Within 18 months there were 21 family members - parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc - packed in there and the government cheques were pouring in; surprise, surprise; suddenly they were able to start buying businesses and investment properties. Don’t get me wrong, they were nice and only took advantage of everything the government was offering but they certainly flaunted rules and what I’d call Canadian conventions. Their house and property was turning into a complete shithole and we did the “white flight” shortly afterwards. However, immigrants to Canada should be aware that the First Nations and indigenous people of Canada often have to seek a better life in other countries because colonizers and their descendants show no regard for treaty rights and have disenfranchised First Nations. The government hides the facts about the plight of indigenous Canadians and lie to Canadian immigrants and citizens, always to divide and conquer. The only native Canadians are not even Canadians but the Indigenous people that where here before you white immigrant colonizers came in uninvited and took over the land without even asking permission of the indigenous people. 90% of Canada is comprised of immigrants. You can blame the Canadian government for lack of long term foresight and planning. It they were steps ahead then we would not have all these issues with regards to increasing population.
