It's true - they buy the franchises for a song - employ their own - push out other hard working immigrants - run the quality of the products into the ground - and then call us racists when the business goes to shit. I'd rather have four million Philippines and south American refugees - than a bunch of entitled Khalistanis, Muslims and jihadists. Any fucking day! We actually don't go thru drive thru anymore - we go inside and see who is working before we order anything. Absolutely sick of shitty food and bad service.

Most of this issue is caused by north Indians who find it hard to assimilate especially the Sikhs. And the issue was caused by the canadian government who prioritized quantity over quality. As an indian immigrant there are times I feel disgusted by their behavior. Due to this behavior the nicer Indians who hold up canadian values are getting the same discrimination. Me myself is a catholic indian who had to leave the country because of the religious bullshit caused by north Indians. We were not even allowed to have a peaceful Christmas in India. As I moved to Canada I faced more racism from north Indians as I eat beef and pork and dont speak hindi. It breaks my heart everytime when I get discriminated from people thinking that i am a punjabi. I just want to live a normal life and follow my faith. Its sad that they dont let us live peacefully in india and in Canada.

There are hardly any quality career opportunities to attract high quality immigrants from India. Those who are educated, for them salaries have increased far more than western countries in India so they are choosing to stay back. You are getting the lot who think despite lack of education, earning Dollars is easy once you migrate.

I am an Indian student who has struggled to get my papers done, and I have to say this: mass immigration needs to stop. Canada should allow only people who speak good English and who can truly contribute to this country. I am an IT student, and I worked hard to clear $120K in debt through Scotiabank. I could have taken a loan in my home country, but I chose to work here because Canada gave me everything my own country could not. I am deeply grateful for that. But when I see people from my own community walking around in flip-flops, unable to speak even one word of English, it breaks me inside. My city—Brampton—has been completely taken over, and it’s becoming harder to even drive there now. I believe Canada needs to come together and put an end to this. Enough is enough. Immigration should be about quality, not quantity.

The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

It's the governments' fault for allowing so much immigration. People from 3rd world countries will always want a better life for their children which is why they work so hard to become doctors and engineers and then migrate. But it is the governments' responsibility to take care of their own country's demographics and policies. Yet racists string up the hardworking immigrants with the low quality hooligans. I don't think Indians are particularly averse to work. They do however seem to have a different quality standard than what we're used to here in the West. There is also a more "creative" approach to societal rules that is not always compatible with Western values. I think Canadians are happy to welcome people from around the world. We just want them to adhere to the standards and traditions that made Canada they place they are trying hard to migrate TO. Don't renew the visa , if they are not quality worker. In India you would find all sorts of people as the population is large there are loads of quality workers and very large poor quality workers. Make it hard to get visa, unless the person is coming in with the bigger jobs like engineer, doctor etc.

As a Chinese immigrant, I have to say that Canada needs to evaluate the quality of new immigrants. For the past 20years, large amount of Chinese immigrated to Canada, 50% of them are wealthy, and brought millions billions of dollars to Canada, especially a lot of rich students who are willing to consume and pay taxes. The other 50% are not that wealthy, but they are working hard while not breaking the rules. Most importantly, they don’t take shit on the beach, and they are afraid to break laws!

Canada recently is going through hard times economically. Also, it’s the 10th largest economy now, not the 9th, it dropped. The GDP per capita is at all time low. Quality of life for even Canadian borns is at all time low. Canada has the resources, high quality education and all the ingredients but the worst part is the politics that is focusing on freebies and vote banks. Hopefully, things will change in future.

I migrated from Kenya to Canada with my family when I was 13. When I turned 26, I left Canada and moved to Australia. It took me 5 years to settle here and get my papers sorted. I almost gave up a couple of times, because as you have stated moving from one country to the next is super hard. However, I can say that I have a much much better quality of life. I visit my family from time to time, and can definitely say the Canada I left in 2017 and the Canada now has deteriorated significantly. It was extremely sad for me to see it in 2023. Hopefully, Canadians will have a change in government within the next year. This will help in turning things around.

I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

Rents have doubled/tripled in Hungary. So are the food prices. Quality of food is no longer same but going down. Just feel surviving is hard in today's world.

Hi! I'm an American with the 'dream' of immigrating to Canada for many years. Got permanent residency and am working in Montreal for the summer to try it out and.... really shocked about the high taxes vs. the quality of the roads for example :/ What social benefits are Canadians really getting? Although the pace of life and culture is nice, it is hard to make less money here as a teacher than I could be in the US, and with some bullsh*t to put up with (pardon my language). And although I feel safe here, I can't believe how car thefts are so brazen and common. I might just become a seasonal visitor after all.

Dont listen to all those bad comments, Germany is a great country. It is just important to learn the language and work hard. There are just a few countries that can meet the quality of life that you get here (Healthcare, transportation, safety, welthfare etc...)

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!

The problem with some of the immigration is that some forget the values and ethics! Used to be if you wanted to come to Canada you had to have a certain amount of money! I think that should be the case as well as also educated. Australia had a point system and its very hard to immigrate there, we should have that too. Lets stop dumbing everything down! Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. I'm Chilean. My sister moved to London bc of a job opportunity and lived there for 15 years, but after Brexit things started to go sour; my BIL's company offered to move him to Toronto. Off they go... they HATED it; the drab culture, the weather, the prices (higher than London!), the quality of the schools their kids go to, etc. I went there last year and, honestly, besides being obviously safer than Santiago, I found it a very boring city; much more than any other I've been to in the US, Europe and South America. Plus they are constantly complaining about the extreme protectionism, which means some things are hard to come buy or to order online, and explains the high costs of telecoms. Well, they decided it was too bad for them, so they're returning to Chile this year?‍♀️
