In 2015, seniors (65+) were ~16–17% of Canada’s population. In 2024–25, they are ~19–20%. After 10 years and 3.6+ million permanent immigrants, aging was not solved. Immigration didn’t fix aging — it was used as justification, not a solution.

Make that make sense! I couldn't have said it any better. Trudeau was never my favorite person in politics, but this latest stand against the tyrant that is just south of our great country! His justification for his tariff fantasy is the trade of fentinyl across the border and the flow of illegal immigrants to the U.S. As Trudeau has stated, paraphrasing a well known and respected publication, the Wall Street Journal, that this is a very DUMB move! That is an understatement. This is clearly not about drugs or illegal immigrants, it never was. Trump is supposed to be smart? This latest revelation proves otherwise. Just look at how they treated Zelensky during his last visit to the oval office. That showed a complete lack of respect! I fear we are in for a dismal for years!
2025-03-04 0
So trudeau is more or less saying that he did a little bit to do something against drug. Like he is giving justifications. Like in scho. Lol. Trudeau justinfication??

There is no justification for these tariffs. Why is this President hurting our country? Why is he aligning with Russia?
2025-03-04 0
Putting Tarrifs on American goods will only raise prices for Canadians. There is no justification for tariffs either side. stupid dangerous move
2025-03-04 0
Canada has been raping America for years. Now someone comes along, puts a halt to it, and they don't like it? No justification? Take a look more closely Mr. Trudeau.
2025-03-04 0
I don't think I've ever seen or heard Trudeau this angry before. Justifiably so. I hate that your government has done this but Canada will not back down. There is no real justification for these tarrifs other than Donald trying to take our land and resources. \n\nYou can think what you want about Trudeau, but he is absolutely correct. These tarrifs, this trade war against a long time ally, partner, and friend, is indeed a very dumb thing to do.
2025-03-04 0
If the justification is that Canada is not fighting against fentanyl, but here's Trudeau saying they are, then can't Trump's tariff war stop?? We will all be asking him to stop it.
2025-03-04 0
President Trump a smart man? Well, this sounds like a joke!! President Trump is just stabbing his allies in the back in a world that's strictly globalized!! He's just demolishing decades and decades of friendly relationships and cooperation with the free western world, mining alliances ( NATO ), without a reasonable justification! He's actually isolating the USA from the rest of the civil world! Greetings from Italy, EUROPE!!

“There are no winners in a trade war, so we are going to immediately engage in a trade war.” No one even acknowledges Trump’s justification for retaliatory tariffs be it wrong or stupid or whatever. Everyone just acts like he decided to do it out of the blue.

These politicians (like this prime minister) are so corrupt. They’re using this narrative shamelessly as a justification to hike taxes on their citizens!
2025-03-04 0
Maybe they are planning something. Trump once remarked that Canada could become the U.S.'s 51st state, so perhaps he was considering a strategy to weaken the country as part of a long-term plan. He might have been looking for a justification to assert control over Canada. Additionally, his strategic support for Putin raises concerns. Trump also once suggested renaming the 'Gulf of Mexico' to the 'Gulf of America.' Considering all this, could we be on the brink of World War III?
2025-03-04 0
Ok, MAGAs, let’s hear your justification for Trump’s unprovoked trade war against our best friends. Please make it make sense.
2025-03-04 0
Proud and patriotic American here! I stand with Ukraine ... and Canada! There is no reasonable justification for Trump's treachery.
2025-03-04 0
As a candian i feel that trump is Ta bigot, a tyrant and clearly significantly cognitively impaired. I feel for the American and Canadian people that this tyrannical dictator has and will impact. Ill be making sude to avoid purchasing from us companies wherever possible. His behavior is appalling. Absolutely disgusting and there is no justification. What a sorry excuse for a human being.
2025-03-04 0
That's the Canadian PM. Retaliation is permitted for sure. No justification whatsoever. So retaliation is permitted. Thank you. May evil and wickedness not come near our homes
2025-03-04 0
There is no justification or need whatsoever for keeping parliament porogued, PM Trudeau. And no justification for Trudeau to not have put more effort into drug and border controls over the last nine years.

As an American, I am appalled by Trump’s actions. I, for one, agree that his reasons for imposing tariffs is a lie. I strongly disagree with his blatant disregard for America’s allies. There is NO justification for aligning the US with Putin. If he thinks Putin has our interests in mind, he is crazy! Before it’s too late, I hope that his cabinet, the house, and senate realize that they can no longer support a president who does not support our interests as a country.

Donald Trump, as a U.S. President, was not sincere. During his campaign, he falsely claimed that people in the U.S. eat cats and dogs, a statement that has no truth to it. After becoming president, he continued to use the issue of fentanyl as a justification for imposing tariffs on Canada. His actions suggest that he is not genuinely interested in moving the country forward but rather using tariffs as an excuse, which could ultimately harm Americans
2025-03-04 0
Trump's tariffs justification claiming fentanyl is like the Bush administration justification of war for weapons of mass destruction. Republican Playbook to fool the unthinking masses. If it works keep using it. We'll find the truth a decade later after a fact finding commission like the Iraq weapons of mass destruction.

Lovely speech! What is happening is horrible, absolutely no justification for our administration to do this. I'm sorry Canada ?
2025-03-04 0
Looks like Trump wants some justification for setting an active trade between US and Russia.
2025-03-04 0
I’m American..I love the people of Canada & Mexico..and the beautiful land of both countries. I truly believe illegal fentanyl will become a presidential justification for annexation of our allied countries. Putins attack on Ukraine has emboldened a specific American to seek out his own tress passing, imho. I pray I’m wrong..but when someone tells you what they want, unreasonable or not, I’ve learned in my lifetime to believe them
2025-03-04 0
The need and justification is being in debt to and owned by Putin

As a Canadian - Trumps 'brilliance' has done one thing for sure, it's aligned all of the provinces against our neighbor and former ally the United States. It's done something we ourselves have had difficulty with - gaining support from Quebec. The overwhelming vast majority of Canadians don't trust the US anymore, as the legal justification for the tariffs is absolute bull, and is a pretext for Trumps actions. My family has cancelled all US travel, in my case 2 trips this year worth 15K to the US. I will miss Vegas for my 60th. We used to shop in WA State weekly; last year I spent 11K in WA State, and routinely took in shows in Seattle. No more. \n\nCan anyone please explain why Trump is screwing over Americans? Seriously.
2025-03-04 0
Thank you for making America Great Mr. “President “ some of us could barely make it… No justification for these tariffs. ??????
2025-03-04 0
Trump can’t enact tariffs without a national emergency so he CLAIMED border issues and drug trafficking as a justification
2025-03-04 0
As an American I am once again infuriated! I wish we could get rid of this dictatorship in our country! He fires at random and without justification. Now he wants us to go through a Great Depression. It’s not Canada’s fault! I hope most Canadians know that most Americans love our neighbors and are mortified by the great pumpkin and his antics. I’m scared of being taken over by Russia

It is interesting how T operates he throws shit at the wall he scans for performative opportunities to flood the zone. The 51st rhetoric got him play. Then he justifies his tariffs with lies and half truths. US has benefitted economically and in terms of influence from being the big cheese. The order issue just another justification after the fact. . .facts do not support. T is the poor victim. Maga are victims???? Just opportinistic and grifter politics. Sickening.

Curious, what is a better solution to tariffs already imposed by Canada on the US? It's amazing that Canada's solution is to argue there is no justification...I'd ask Trudeau, what does Trump want? Is is unreasonable or not...if it is unreasonable, tell us why....because one thing about Trump, he is usually pretty darn clear about what he wants.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau should be our next Prime Minister...!!! ?\nOur economies are so inter-twined because it WORKS! So many American companies have set-up plants in Canada in order to profit from doing business here. It's not just products that we MUTUALLY benefit from selling to each other, the US generates significant profits from its many operations in Canada, and those $Billions of dollars in profits that go back to American Investors is not included in the 'Trade Imbalance' that is a justification for the tariffs. With those profits included, I'd bet Canada is the nation with the imbalance not in its favor...
2025-03-04 0
? no justification? Commitments mean nothing, you have done nothing but talk for years. And attacking the US president shows that your grasp of power is fading. I wish Canada the best and hope they get a Prime Minister they deserve.
2025-03-04 1
Bro made a claim and provided evidence. Regardless, trumples will come up with some ludicrous justification they'll all download to their brains and repeat over and over
2025-03-04 0
The ,,justification..is an excuse for annexation
2025-03-04 0
Why is everyone tiptoeing around the real reason for these tariffs? Trump has made no secret of his true motivations. He wants to absorb Canada into the USA so he can exploit it's abundant natural resourses, redirect fresh water across the border and give their military free reign of the arctic regions of the country. Any and all other justifications and excuses he comes up with are little more than window dressings
2025-03-04 0
From South Carolina, be assured that millions of us are as sad at Trump's actions toward Canada as you are. There is no justification - in this as in so many other Trump actions.
2025-03-04 0
What's wrong Russia did wrong to Canada then why scold putin, you and others aligning with Benjamin is that justification ,US puts tariff on you too do ,why this step you are terming as wrong, simple business rule

It's truly embarrassing to be a citizen of the US. I thought when 43 was lying about the justification of invading Iraq, it was a low point in national pride, but this administration has dragged every citizen into the same gutter as they lay.
2025-03-04 0
This trade war has zero justification in reality. It will only end up hurting consumers on both sides of the border and drive the economy into a recession. Trump is NOT a smart man, he just thinks he is. ?
2025-03-04 0
Where the hell is congress? Republicans can’t want these tariffs that are going to hurt their states - do they not have any legal recourse given that the data clearly indicates that there is no justification based on the flow of fentanyl from Canada myth that he’s been pushing?

Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against $155 billion worth of American goods, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a press conference Tuesday. \n \nSpeaking from Ottawa, Trudeau said there was “absolutely no justification or need whatsoever” for the tariffs imposed by the US on Canada, which went into effect today. \n \nThe prime minister explained that $30 billion worth of US goods would see tariffs immediately, while the remaining $125 billion worth of goods would see tariffs in 21 days. \n \nTrudeau added that Canada will file claims at the World Trade Organization, but in the meantime, “our tariffs will remain in place until the US tariffs are withdrawn and not a moment sooner.” \n \nThe prime minister also again hit back against US assertions about Canada being unwilling to help in the fight against illegal fentanyl. \n \nHe said the legal pretext Trump presented for the justification of the tariffs —“that Canada is apparently unwilling to help in the fight against illegal fentanyl” — is “totally false.”

Poor MAGA, they've lost their humanity in their pursuit of power. Having to make up silly justifications for excluding transgender people when the real reason is idealogical is like listing to Putin say he invade Ukraine because of NATO. Meanwhile, US soldiers will be working alongside transgender soldiers in war games with other western militaries.
2025-01-29 2
I served for 6 years in the Air Force and I lean mostly right on transgender issues (keep biological men out of female sports, there are only 2 genders, etc), but I'm hard pressed to understand why people who are trans can't serve their county - I don't see reasonable justification for that. It doesn't make sense.

I am fond of Ms Palki,s presentation. But she is more indian without justification. I have read most of the comments. What she will tell about visa rejection of the Bangladeshi by India. For such rejection and restriction students can not apply visa for the countries which visa centres are in India. Its tit fir tat.

Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. I would love to see the Canadian and Indian governments cooperate to remove violent activists from our streets.

I completely agree with the woman at 11:10 they should adapt into our culture and adopt our behaviours. It sucks though because a lot of the poojeets I’ve talked to have this attitude that Canadian culture doesn’t exist. They ask questions like “what is Canadian culture”? Or “what is western culture” like it’s some kind of gotcha question and therefore justification for them to behave however they like in our homeland. It’s time we stop being scared of being labeled racist and start standing up for our families, our country, and our futures.

Canadian are lovely people but why they think strangers in own country. Strict your police rules if anyone found in criminal activity then deport them , but please don’t say white Canadian are homeless because they are responsible their own condition. Think about and don’t blame anyone without any justification

Nope, for this one i stand with you Sir. If the Palestinians going to somewhere else outside their land, the israelis Will get more the justification. Hell no, Palestinians have the right to live too.

Individuals like these tarnish the image of India on the global stage. They often lack a proper understanding of laws and policies. To begin with, the Indian education system is superior to that of Canada, so there's little justification for going to Canada and contributing to their economy for an education that is often subpar. Secondly, no country is obligated to grant citizenship simply because someone has studied there—that’s a fundamental principle. Taking a loan to study abroad is a personal choice, not a guarantee of future residency. Many of these individuals are students who couldn't secure admission to top Indian institutions. Deportation is a reasonable consequence in such cases.
