It is absolutely wild the difference in immigration now vs pre-2015. I had a brief marriage in my early 20’s to a man that was a Turkish PR and when we had our child in 2012 - back when Kenney was minister - we were unable to get a 3 week visitor visa approved for his mother and 17 year old sister to come to Halifax from Istanbul to meet the baby because they were considered at risk for not leaving. This is despite my former MiL providing documents showing she had property, a business and an ailing husband to return to. They appealed the decision once, the result was the same and they were then told they couldn’t re-apply for a certain length of time. We ended up taking the baby there when he was a few months old as it was so much easier. Now everything’s a free for all

Speaks 5 languages, has 3 degrees, ran a business in France.. she landed here 1 years ago,, had to spend 400$ to prove she speaks ENGLISH, (she speaks it fluently),, she paid taxes the moment she landed and got a job, bought a car, a small apartment. During the Harper government my dad had a log hauling business in Alberta and British Columbia. A good friend of mine lives in Northeast Calgary and I drove to her house right before Nick Shirley exposed all of the fraud in Minnesota. When I went to her house I had to Google maps it. Everybody in Calgary knows the Northeast is all Indian. As a matter of fact I counted how many people I saw that weren't Indian when I was there cuz I thought it was funny. I saw two white people and one Asian in the whole quarter of the city. When I got to her house I said to her why do you have so many businesses around your house it doesn't even make sense and then I showed her the Google maps and there had to be seven or eight daycares a trucking company and a bricklaying company and a drywall company. All of these businesses that don't have signs because I went and looked. These people are doing the same fraud here. This is what's killing our country. Our money is worthless because of them and they are taking all of the homes so homes are unaffordable for Canadians. On top of that they get into management and jobs and only hire their people and don't hire Canadians. We are under attack. It doesn't have to be somebody storming our beaches to attack us. Our country is under attack and we're in denial.

Very good report. The labour shortage will only grow as the population gets older. The Trudeau government tried to deal with it but may have gone too far. The Carney government is scaling back but eventually the reality of the labour shortage will dictate the direction. Is it dividing the country? Not sure but there are definitely two camps with business supporting immigration.
