I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. I am glad that finally this happened cause sometimes you need a slap on face to wake up from a cozy bogus dream. As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. Pull the camera back and look at the big picture. The US has been divided sharply down the middle of the political spectrum. Canada has been crumbling under stupid political and economic decisions. This trade war is uniting the common people both American and Canadian and supportive allies around the world. Corruption has bubbled to the surface and many things that conspiracy theorists have been mocked for is now commonly known as truth. The people will unite while the Oligarchs mutter “let them eat cake” and there will be a reckoning. Donald might be making stupid choices, but perhaps that is what we needed to finally wake up and unite.
