Very proud of our Prime Minister!!! The Trump administration is currently destroying America. It is sad that one man can drive such a deep wedge between two countries. Herr Trump has proven himself to be completely untrustworthy to all American allies, not just Canada. I am an American and in firm support of the Canadian people, but definitely not Trudeau! Please recall not only his assault against the truckers a few years ago, but his desired seizure of GoFundMe monies that INDIVIDUALS sent to the truckers! Perssure later required him to take his hands off. And I've seen videos of how badly he treats Christians. I do not support Russia or China, but I do consider Trudeau to be of the same ilk. I don't worship Trump and will be actively communicating with those who represent me in the US govrrnment to let them know my desires. I am hopeful that in Canada someone better than Trudeau very soon takes his place.

If your insane president won't back down, electricity will be cut off, and potash and nickel will no longer be exported. Agreements with Homeland security will be canceled, NORAD may be cancelled, and cross border travel will be severely restricted soon. Canadian armed forces will be standing by to halt an American military operation, and our European Allies will join us for what we hope will only be another cold war.

I am a proud Canadian and have no love for Trudeau but more important, I fear for the American people. America was once the institution of democracy but has recently taken a very sharp turn and is heading towards the ideals of Russian communism. I hope that level forward thinking will soon prevail so that we can live in peace again in both of our wonderful countries.

I don't know if I will make it through this but there are people out there in worse situations with more overtly oppressive governments, so I can't complain too much. I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? Interested to see what part of the States you live in.

Colombia has taken so many evil people and poor destitute people from Venezuela as refugees and it can’t absorb them but Colombians normally come legally to the USA and make great Americans my family in law for example are good conservative people who support Trump and I’d like to have my family in the USA all in one place especially is colombia will turn into Venezuela under a corrupt regime who has ruined everything and hurt most of the citizens idk how he won if he did even win but the USA came into Colombia before to stabilize it and it worked for a long time and there are 30,000 U.S. expats here or people with family ties or like me who happened to marry into a Colombian family. Not long ago I saw Trump with former President Duque and their wives and there was a beautiful relationship and colombia was booming in one year the USA must put back the former establishment and restabilize the mess that has been made under this communist guerrilla member and I hope saying this doesn’t bring lash back to me or my family here in Colombia. The thing about the job health insurance that a lot of Americans don't really think of as a business case: If a person has their insurance tied to their job, they will almost never be able to move to another one if they develop a life-threatening condition. Even with diminished bars of entry due to pre-existing conditions, your health insurance can be denied if you transition to another company. If you are denied, your best healthcare options are then tied to your income, and that means you basically have to be unemployed and living on social entitlements. \n\nThe thing is, this locks you into your position, and you are literally at the mercy of the company which means you're only going to be doing the minimum amount of work necessary to not get fired. If you have a socialized/universal single-payer healthcare plan, your job is no longer a limiting factor, you can switch employers basically at-will. The boon for businesses is that people will be more able to move rather than have to get you to do a dance with your insurance company. \n\nThe other thing for me is that having been in the US, I felt less safe in blue states than I did in Canada, and I felt worse in red states. The USA is a beautiful country, but it's a STRANGE society. One thing I can say is the USA tends to get bright fast once they catch on to how big a problem actually is, so here's to hoping that happens soon because brother, you have a mess of problems on your plate. \n\nThis isn't the only thing, but FWIW, I have had multiple opportunities to move to the US for work, and I work in a field where I can command a very good salary, but I choose to not live there. I'd move to Belize, or a Nordic EU country instead.
