As a Canadian, I work in healthcare in the disability sector, and I am extremely frustrated with what I am seeing the Indian population taking over the sector. There are ongoing issues with Indians who cannot communicate clearly in English with clients. This has resulted in serious confusion and, on several occasions, situations escalating into violence. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, and this failure puts vulnerable clients at risk. Clients are not being provided with proper meals that meet their dietary needs. Instead, food is often prepared without consideration for the client’s usual diet, which has caused clients to become physically ill. On top of that, basic food safety practices are not being followed at all. To make matters worse, the company does not provide proper foodsafe training, despite it being a legal requirement. There are also major professionalism issues. Some Indians arrive late to work—sometimes by hours—and give excuses with no consequences. I have documented these incidents and reported them to upper management, yet nothing is done. During shifts, 90 percent of Indian staff sit in the office for long periods, leaving clients unattended except for basic cooking. This can go on for days until white staff are scheduled. One incident that really stood out involved a client returning from a doctor’s appointment. When I asked how it went, I was told the client “had something on his head” and needed to use a cream. When I asked what the condition was or whether it was contagious, the Indian staff member did not know what the word contagious meant let me remind you I work in health care. I later learned from the client’s mother that it was a fungal infection information that should have been clearly communicated immediately for everyone’s safety. I am exhausted by the lack of standards, accountability, and training in this workplace. If you are going to work in healthcare in Canada, you must be able to communicate effectively, follow food safety laws, show up on time, and provide proper care. Lowering standards for the Indian population puts vulnerable people at risk, and management allowing this is unacceptable. If your coming to Canada follow are values and beliefs are stay in India.

So essentially 3 tiers of Indian come(Hamiltonian here who worked in the GTA for awhile) They got pumped in and don't like eachother and look down at the lower tiers ones. CBSA needs to do more enforcement raids and deport temporary residents in breach of their permit. For landlords who rent out a place to 20 people, CRA should audit their rental income, any tax evasion there should result in an immediate lien or confiscation of the property. One thing to highlight with not seeing any homeless Indians in that first seen is not that Indians are causing others to be homeless - rather, they are willing to help family out to prevent homelessness! When we first came here (20+ years ago from Ethiopia), we couldn’t find work and faced homelessness. Our extended family came thru and let the 4 of us stay in a small 1 bedroom in the basement until we could get on our feet. By having a room to be safe in, we avoided a lot of the consequences of homelessness that would have made getting back on our feet exponentially difficult. What I have found shocking now to see as a Canadian of 20+ years is my non-immigrant Canadian friends who will watch quietly as their family members fall under the poverty line and towards homelessness, avoiding inviting them in to not “disrupt their peace” at home. I’ve had random family of friends stay with me in hard times to avoid them being on the street while my generally kind friends (at least to others!) did not take them in. This individualistic mindset of the West really means if you have a low point in life, you will plummet to rock bottom…. Ofc homelessness and poverty is multifaceted but a more collective approach to community would also reduce the burden!

This person is naming and shaming India and hoping that her conservative voters will be happy. India is quite a huge country; the numbers are going to be high. it is not prudent for politicians to do this PR stunt that will have long term consequences.

All of these fake colleges that Canada is letting Indians and other immigrants in are absolutely ridiculous. A ridiculous amount of uneducated immigrants from a several countries are coming in as fake students and fake asylum claims and Canadians have to suffer as a consequence. These people also take loans and cash out on credit, take cash and run back to their country. The rest of Canadians are left holding the bill. F this libtard government we live in.

All this tough talk and posturing but no actions on the ground. I love that she is trying to get answers and holding people accountable but in reality nothings changing. Students and immigrants keep coming in. They just don’t give a f$@* about Canadian laws because no one has seen any consequences!

as a refugee myself from Afghanistan, I know a lot of fellow refugees and immigrant who works for cash, abuses the system, don't pay taxes, if they are manager-they hire only immigrants and people they know, they think this way they will have a better life in Canada, but in reality they are fucking the economy and not thinking about its consequences in the long term. I assume most of them will wait no minute to go back to their home country once the economy in Canada crumbles. I feel really bad about this kind of behaviours and I feel ashamed.

It’s deeply concerning that representatives like Pemi Gill and Aisha Zafar appear unaware of the serious consequences stemming from the influx of individuals entering Canada under the guise of international students. How come they are so ignorant of these serious things going on in their govt? It’s time for accountability—not just from executives who profit from these schemes, but also from the politicians who enable them through inaction or ignorance. These individuals, who came here from India under the guise of being students, later sought asylum and are now receiving government support funded by Canadian taxpayers—while many Canadian youths struggle to find employment. I deeply commend Madam Michelle Rempel Garner for courageously raising this issue, which has long been ignored by corporate executives and their political allies who bear significant responsibility for the country's current challenges.

As a brown person who migrated to Ireland, i can tell you i haven't met, spoken to or hung out with any of the people from my birth country in years. Why? Because, my Irish school mates, my Irish neighbours & Irish colleagues have never made me feel insecure about my color or origins. However in the last five years, some communities like the pakistanis, brazilians & nigerians started creating their ghettos despite the fact that the Irish did not discriminate. They "rule" their ghettos as if they're sovereign territories and do not interact with the Irish, who loves a good banter & socializing. Now the Irish are feeling insecure & one can feel, hear & see the change in attitudes towards immigrants. I fear that in the future i may face the consequences of some other people's decision to stand out instead of mixing. It is quite sad actually!

Those are the consequences for opening the gates for immigration too wide for far too long. It's high time they start being more selective on who gets to immigrate and lower the number for at least a few years to get things back under control as this is Canada, either you assimilate or go back from where you come from.

The trucking industry is being run to the ground. And ottawa is sleeping at the wheel. the notion that the government is expecting the Indian run companies to act in good faith and NOT abuse every loophole there is. IS bewildering to me. Short of a serious policy to remedy the situation. We'll see severe consequences across the Nation.
