I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

I’m the son of Indian immigrants who came into Melbourne, Australia 34 years ago, my mom came with her family of 8 and my father came here by himself. The exact same thing is happening over here. We have suburbs in our eastern side which have turned into pockets of Punjab and Haryana. We have been in the restaurant industry for 30 years now, these students are taking our cash in what is a ‘cashless economy’. We’ve had one particular instance where a former employee faked her marriage certificates in order to get her permanent residency, now she’s in trouble with the authorities and may face some years in jail. The problem is they like taking ‘shortcuts’ and then they get stuck and expect us as employers to save them. The systems put into place have been exhausted to the point where is it useless.

Now all big Indian Techies and other influential and powerful Indians in abroad should come forward to give voice for Indians living abroad particularly who all hold legal visas like students and other legal permits etc and if possible they should create a fund to help our Indian students in financial, legal and other distress - may be given as loan. Influential Indians in USA should have used USAID program to channeled some funds to Indian students - no one wants to take risk but want to be good in American's Book! All big shots of Indian origin throw a little money may help these helpless students or may create like sovereign fund to help Indians who needs help in abroad!

Why are more Indian visas being rejected? Take a look at what's happening with Indians (mainly Punjabis) arriving in Canada since about 2022, especially on student visas, and you may find the answer to your question. It's been a disaster.

Starting to feel Palki is biased towards India than being an honest journalist. Did you even bother to check why Indian visas are getting rejected in these countries? If you apply for student visa, be a student and do not exploit the visa or violate any rules and extend your visa stay.\n7. If you are hired for work, honour the work permit rules.\n8. Last but not the least, be a good citizena and don't do anything which may spoil your countries' image.

Palki’s logical arguments are mostly spot on. However, I am surprised that she asks this question but doesn’t not answer with sound reasons so the people can learn and improve. The reasons for rejections may *possibly* be due to the number of Indians than have over stayed their tourist visas or due to illegal entry or international students that have not returned but rather stayed back illegally. Also possibly due to certain behaviours against women or cheating/corruption practices taken to the new country. Palki should do that research and then present based on evidence which she usually does a great job with.

At the same time getting Indian visa is also not so easy. Ranking may also depend on number of tourists who want to visit. Indians these days in far reaching in numbers due to the middle class economic upliftment. It is not that India is equated with tiny unknown countries.\nNext as far as the visa rejections are concerned very few student visas and work visas are rejected. So educated lot are not rejected. Most of the rejected visas could be tourist visas, who want to go there in disguise of tourists who actually propose to go as domestic or business helpers. Of course the visa fee is high. That could be discouraging point for many who want to go for just earning and also a source of income for those governments to compensate wages to be paid to their white workers to handle umteen number of applications.

It is not about being under UN sanctions or under military rule. Many Indian visa applications (especially for student visas) are supported by fake documents. Many try to emigrate by hook or by crook especially to the US or Canada via other countries. And the less said about the behaviour of Indian tourists abroad the better. Dishonesty, cheating and so on may be a way of life in India but other countries still value decency and civic sense.

Additionally, most of us struggle with adapting to new environments, possibly due to an archaic education system that emphasizes rote learning over conceptual understanding. Many Indians also face challenges with proficiency in the English language.\n\nUnfortunately, Canada’s relatively lenient immigration policies have allowed a significant number of unskilled individuals from India to settle there. Many of these individuals have been reluctant to embrace Canadian culture. Corruption may have played a role as well, with some local Canadian colleges and universities admitting students who lacked merit. Given the extreme levels of corruption in India, this is not surprising.\n\nThe root issue lies in the Canadian government’s lack of strictness and vigilance when formulating immigration rules and policies. Many Indians, frustrated with the current government and financial hardships, seek to leave the country in hopes of a better life in the West. While educated individuals follow proper processes, the uneducated often resort to questionable means. In Canada’s case, this negligence on the part of both governments has had unfortunate consequences.\n\nI hope stricter policies and more accountability lead to better outcomes in the future.

They are skilled migrants. Why do Canada take them in? Because they lack skilled white people to do their jobs. Also lack of population. Medical and IT professionals are given big offers to come and live in Canada. However that may not be the case for students. Students are in large numbers and they want to stay back. Too many students is a problem. Colleges just take in too many of them, because they pay the money. Bring some control over colleges and students intake. There are too many new colleges just for business and that’s not good.

Indian students should concentrate in their studies instead of Federal laws. Locals naturally loose jobs. For this they may be changing laws.Nothing is wrong.

Indian students form a major portion of younger generation with other preferences except with Khalistan movement may reduce by a fraction with Pakistan taking over the gape cautioning Canada like future of Britain political instability and Islamists overtaking the UK itself dethrowning King Charless and Church of England. Understand that Education system has become a business these days. Do you think that Indian students come to Canada by spending 10 times more for education, because they learn some great techniques or lessons? It is only with the hope that after the education they can get a high paying job in Canada. Indian education system is far better than Canada's. In fact Canadian universities badly need these students, else they may not be able to pay salaries to their professors or universities will shut down. So after these students came here by taking high loans, now you change the rule/law is giving hard time to these students. You guys attract these students by showing them hope. Students may be studying in Canada.. But the Canadian govt should not give citizenship.. I am Indian .. so I am worried about our future.. Rubbish video and info i earn 50k a year and got approved loan of 4 lakh . Yeah I being Indian I have faced lot of problems from Indian land lord , they are pain. Again all of them are not same , as India is a wide nation with different sub culture in there. These Indian students giving such kind of opinions without realizing that they came the same way as the ones struggling now. They take for granted their current situation of privilege for having a valid study permit and a pgwp later on, however, in a few years, they’ll be walking in their shoes as well. The truth is that this country has an economy to maintain and sadly they are not concerned about your personal realization or you achieving your dreams, they need to fund the education system and after you’re done studying you are not contributing anymore, therefore, the cycle must repeat over and over again. What’s is true is that nobody has nothing for granted, and not being strategic about this life project may make you lose everything. Just research, and plan.

Did anyone think why is it so. If there are too many students, that is because the local colleges are greedy and want a lot international students to come in and pay higher fees. If there are too many indians, again, it is because CIC which does the screening for immigration application approves a lot of indian immigrant applications. Is it because they cannot find applicants from other countries or even if they do, may be indian applicants are more capable than other immigrant applicants? Something to think about. And what is the role of Mr Trudeau. He seems to be wanting more immigrants.

Indians have a very groupism mentality even within themselves although they are very friendly but for example, a group of Indians who are hindu and vegetarian will not welcome even other non-hindu Indians who may be non-vegetarian to live with them. Sometimes students from same study program also stick together and will not include someone from different program even though they go to the same school. But as a community they look out for each other in that way so chances of seeing immigrant Indians dealing with drugs and other crap that the white people do will be almost non existent. \n\nThe other ethnicities might feel threatened due to over whelming majority of Indians and they group together to voice their concern but those ethnicities are individualistic and don't care about the country or each other. They just get heated up in the moment as they don't see people who look like them. If Brampton was all rich white folks but still with a majority on the streets like San Francisco or NYC doing all sorts of crap , nobody will be complaining or make a big deal out of it. There was no check and balance from provincial governments on school/colleges, because they liked the inflow of $$$ within their provinces.\n3. Both the federal and provincial governments were allowing more Indian students because they wanted to have more economic ties with Indian growing economy. \n4. Coast to coast it's the same story: Liberal govt let useless 'paper mill' schools (mostly run by Indian scammers) fill the country with these kids with BS sales promotion of a path to PR status (most don't need or care about becoming citizens lol). The Liberals are toying with granting them PR status, but they know this will likely cost them the election. These kids are creating housing capacity problems, creating overcrowding on transit and in healthcare. Local charities are slammed with extra mouths to feed, and grocery stores are experiencing a spike in shoplifting because these kids did not come with enough money to house and feed themselves. The student visa program has been abused by criminals of course, so there's a spike in gangster activity and even a political assassination in Surrey BC. It's a crap show and the solution is for 500,000 of them to head home ASAP. (Yes, this may create a temporary shortage of fast food workers and delivery people, but I'll take my chances.)

The worst part of this mass student fraud immigration scam is that it is essentially creating a class of indentured servants in Canada. Where i live, wealthy indians buy a franchise, they then get permits for foreign workers in india, who they CHARGE under the table of to 40k (their families life savings) for the permit to come work in their franchise. They also rent to for or 5 of them ONE ROOM to share, rent being deducted from their pay. They are then exploited and told if they complain they will be deported with no money and shame their families back home...its messed up and it's 100% happening in every canadian city. If you notice the indian worker at the fast food joint isnt too happy, it may be because they are a literal slave. Very progressive!

Pains me so deeply. I work at a Hotel. Without going into detail, we house so many refugees from Sudan, Nigeria, Ukraine etc. completely for free. They are all lovely people for the most part don't mistake my meaning, but I seldom hear of such programs addressing widespread actual Canadian citzen homeless housing, nor have any of the refugees at my Hotel been Canadian citizens born and raised who were granted asylum. \n\nThe other day I had to kick out a homeless gentleman from my hotel who was sleeping in the heated stair-wells. My manager instructed me to contact the non-emergency police number and get them to escort him out and/or possibly trespass him. He was compliant, not rude and understanding and wasn't causing any property damage or bothering anyone, nor consuming drugs or anything of the sort. It pained my heart and it reminded me of the risks I may face in the future considering how fucked the housing is.\n\n100%, and I mean 100%, of the new employees we've hired in the Hotel are Indian students here on student-visas, or refugees (many Ukrainians and one African lady). And 0% of the people being housed at my Hotel are Canadian born citizens. Disgusting mess of a country with all thanks owing to J.T.

This documentary is true when it comes to North India, would you be able to do a similar study with South India, you will see a whole different approach, South Indian students hardly fall for these actually.... may be after a case study, you will see the difference between North and South India.

You will regret when you kids ask you to send them as a student May be. Indian educations are based on memorization. You can always go sent them in private school. Starting years are hard but you will make it. Even if you move to other side in India 2 months are not enough to settle. At the end where ever you feel happy

Not entirely accurate. It's pro-wealthy immigration here in Canada absolutely. It's citizenship for sale. Not necessarily wealthy in terms of really wealthy (like Switzerland) but it's definitely citizenship for sale, so if you don't have money, don't bother. Newcomers with medical and engineering expertise can't get jobs here in Canada, in spite of our healthcare system being on the point of collapse and our supposed hi-tech push. Regulatory boards here have made it impossible. Estimates are around 175000 qualified, internationally trained doctors and nurses who gave up trying to practice here and moved into other careers. Ukrainian doctors, for eg, with extensive trauma experience and willing to staff our emergency departments have been told they have to requalify by going to Canadian medical school to retrain for at least 4 years. Same story in engineering. By IT, our government seems to mean low-paid call center IT work, moving the IT sweatshop racket from India onto Canadian soil. Universities and colleges keep the tuition though. Honestly our colleges and universities are staying afloat because of Indian students. They're being treated like cash cows - and Indian recruiters are scamming the system, taking fees on their end with unsuspecting students getting falsified documents, or being told they passed their ESL when they didn't. For me if you come to a small community college is not easy. Like this people who come straight with no background sometimes even small family own store may not even hire you. Nowsaday jobs in canada is need at least 6 month experience or a certification that you actually did some hands on activity completed in the course. I also agree with some comments research before you come here. Many Indian student are so eager to get a job but without at least a 6 months experience need not easy. That is why sometimes I see many student suffer but in my opinion you have to know why you come here in the first place.

Now that the students are allowed to work for 37.5 hours officially no more cash in hand work or no exploitation\n\nSo, every cry may not be heard by government but some for sure, I am hopeful for my Indians kids to survive and get them legitimate jobs.
