Honestly as an Indian (tamil-nadu) I genuinely don't think anything Tyler does is racist. I am an international student in canada doing hons finance and doing my cfa this sem. do I think all indians are bad.. no not at all, but the ones that push their religion on others are most definetly bad and lack at civic sense. Punjabis get a lot of hate cuz 70% of them faked their student visas and got here, same goes for any tamil and indian or any country YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING ILLEGALY THEN DEMAND TO BE TREATED THE SAME AS A LEGAL CIVILLIAN. and then there are people with no civic sense. it is wild

Thats my home town and most people move away. Its honestly abusive and sad, its happening in every city surrounding brampton. Within a decade growing up i was the only non indian or middle eastern in my classes in school. To the point where u cant get a job cant rent a place because they cater to their own race. Allot are decent people but when your told u have to speak hindi to get a job. Its discriminatory and biased. They're racist towards anyone from a diffrent race period, i watched the city fall into an ethnoburb and i refuse to feel like a minority in my own home town.

Our family came from a pacific Island back in 74....we applied the honest way and parents had an interview and medical exam, and criminal check and then we were approved to come to Canada. We came and worked hard to be an asset to this country....not to leach from it. Honestly, they are great people and I think they bring a lot of culture and family orientation back to Canada I feel like it’s roots. I mean, we are the first generation with cell phones so things aren’t gonna go well for the first generation so I hope to see change in the next, but I really hate the racism. Because at the end of the day, this world belongs to all of us. I’m married to a Punjab. And I’m very thankful I met him feel like a lot of Canadian men. Have become victims to the red pill ideology or cell phones are really just becoming a part of their ideologies. Indian families bring back real love and authenticity. the Indians i know in canada have been very hard working and honest people. there was one who had to go back home though they wouldn’t renew his worker permit. I know plenty more on these permits. It’s not just indians though there’s also Brazilians, Chileans, and Venezuelans. One thing I hate is my job prioritizing their work hours over mine because they “need the hours” to stay in this country. where as this is my own country and I’m getting cut hours during slow season. smh

as an indian i definitely like my culture but the opportunities are just way better outside of india and honestly transforming a foreign place into your culture is just so wrong i understand if someone feels alienated so small communities exist but making the quality of life go down on this level is just crazy

We have quite a few Indians moving out to our little town here too. I find them to be hard working and very friendly. They are buying the stores from the Koreans. The ones that moved out here are great folks. I have no problem with it. To be honest, so many people that I grew up with have left now so having this influx is helping to revitalize our little towns.

I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. Ok I live right next to Brampton and I would just like to clarify that it does have a big Indian population but honestly anywhere else Ive been to in Ontario it’s not the same many live in Brampton because it’s next to Toronto where everyone goes to work and it’s honestly not a big deal think of it as Chinatown in New York.

You know who hates Indians the most? Other Indians. 100% honest truth, I worked with many Indian dentist and they blatantly said straight up "we want a white receptionist and assistant" then they offered me $8 over my asking wage. I don't mind Indians at all. They are hard working people and don't usually create problems. The Somalis are horrible. They have ZERO etiquette, manners and a complete disregard for anyone but themselves. I moved cities to get away from them because they have like 8-10 kids. They all just make kids for child benefit money and sit at home on welfare. They are ALL on welfare. Those on ODSP work under the table while on a disability benefit. The government is dumb as hell for bringing so many. Nice cities have become shit holes because they're dirty and don't care about their communities. They're just awful.

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

As a aborigonal canadian i mostly say welcome, im in calgary in a place called teradale where i only see a few white people a week . Its all imigrants but mostly indian. their is a thing where bringing too many people is negative like our housing crisis and it just imbalances everything when you rush too many pepple in at once. I went to an indian resteraunt with a friend of mine and i could see into the kitchen and the guy who was cooking was barefooted and as he came to deliver the food he slid into a pair of slippers. I asked him if he was cooking in bare feet and he lied saying OHHH no maam and then he lifted his foot. I looked at my friend and said this is grose and im going to McDonalds. And everyone in Mcdonalds was Indian too. FUCC that. Canada doesnt even look Canadian anymore. We honestly look Asian and its the Liberals who are doing it. Get rid of White Canadians. Indians what the heck have you done? It's just the genuine ones that suffer. I'm an Indian too, fought to the skin of the tooth to secure Masters admission, paid over 50k CAD in fees. Was genuine in my effort & was able to secure a good job and I still have this ick at the back of the mind that I might be seen with disgust because of how tarnished our reputation is of lately, despite trying my best to contribute my fair share to the society, to this beautiful country. I’m South African Indian from Durban, and I spent three months in Vancouver for work. Honestly, I wouldn’t visit Canada again. The cold was unbearable for me, and I found the country dull and boring. Coming from Durban, where there’s warmth, energy, culture, and life everywhere, Canada just didn’t feel like my kind of place. Some people may enjoy the quiet and structure, but it’s not for everyone—and it definitely wasn’t for me. Three months was more than enough to know it’s not my vibe.

Of course, any local community can have problems, and some groups can be unwelcoming. But the argument presented implied there is only one way to be Canadian. That echoes xenophobic rhetoric in the US about who counts as ‘American,’ often while ignoring the reality of Indigenous peoples entirely. I do not deny the importance of shared commitments like the rule of law, freedom, and evidence based policy rooted in the Enlightenment and scientific thinking. But culture and learning can coexist with those values. What troubled me most was how poverty and discrimination were replaced with racial generalizations, and how victim language was used to deflect responsibility, something that resembles DARVO. Given the same conditions, these problems could arise in any group, regardless of race.

First of all, Tyler is a hardworking journalist and I respect that, however a lot of this video was wildly ignorant, from almost everyone involved, including from him. This is cheap views unfortunately. It paints a very bad perspective for all the genuinely hardworking citizens and residents of Indian origins, why not show that side of them too? There’s obviously actual students who come to study and provide for the community while also maintaining their own culture? What’s wrong with that? Besides, what is a Canadian culture if not a mix of immigrants from all around the world? Are white people also not just immigrants to this country or did they magically spawn in this place? They’ve committed ATROCITIES (not just in Canada), yet have the audacity to act like they’re the cleanest ones in the land. While I do agree some Indians do not improve the reputation, most are really kind, helpful and honest people. Perhaps treat everyone like humans for a change instead of using the bad ones as a benchmark. PS, cutting to the ugly streets when someone mentions Punjab is probably the cheapest attention grab, obviously there’s bad streets, ugly roads, gross people everywhere but so are beautiful ones, lovely countryside views, beautiful mountains and most of all, very hardworking and respectful people as well. Your view of Punjab is just NOT the same as the one of the people in the video who view their motherland as a beautiful place. You can portray every place in the world in that light with the wrong perspective, be it New York, Paris, Barcelona, Cairo, Sydney, Rio, London, etc, but it must be nice to get a few more looks at the expense of demeaning others.

Not Canada per se, but baised on my coworkers even the Indians have Indian fatigue now. Especially with the older skilled Indians workers who have aasemulated into the country and came here the honest way. They're always complaining how it's now so easy to get into the country, with relaxed polices and poor vetting and how these newer influxes do not like to assemulate into their new country, and bring their bad practices over here. And annoyed why are importing non skilled workers when locals are struggling for jobs, describing why we do not need more Uber drivers and mc donalds workers. They're were telling me there's recently been a large influx buying their degrees for like $10k and getting here on skilled visas without thorough checks. because of relaxed policies as a result of our majority of young skilled citizens here leaving the country in record numbers since COVID.

Just tonight, during a snowstorm, an Indian neighbor came out of his home to help me clear snow off my car — purely out of kindness. When the fact of the matter is India has beautiful beaches, resorts in the south (kerela goa etc ie tourist areas) beautiful mountains and snowy areas in the north like Shimla, Risikesh in states like himachal pradesh and uttarkhand, theres ther north east which has arunachal pradesh etc. Yet despite common knowledge amongst those who travel to India these vloggers choose to avoid such places for the former just for content and to make videos such as this. Channels like Chris Lewis, Alfonso and Jessica, Daily Max, Van Boys, GallivanterDom, Dunney Travels are much more honest and unbiased with their vlogs on India showing both the good and bad side of the country. Both the beautiful luxurious sides as well as the slums and poverty. Unlike vloggers like this who only show the negative sides of India for the sake of views, content and engagement farming. Positive videos on India never go as viral as the negative ones. The algorithm always pushes negativity over positivity
