Why is it so difficult to have reasonable conversations about this? Most of this video is completely true — but so many comments show love to that bike guy who was factually incorrect and pointlessly racist. But on the other hand, so many woke types don’t even want to admit the problem. They also don’t want to talk about how the government is complicit. Every nation has a right to define itself, and how much immigration it wants, and how that immigration happens. It is beyond ridiculous to not speak the primary language of the country you emigrate to. But why say weird shit like indians eat shit?? Or that 1.5 billion people are all the same? The rationale behind early immigration was to be very tough and selective about who enters and lives here. They welcomed students because it brought in a lot of revenue so that’s a win-win, but to LIVE they had to prove they were an asset to the community. Now the whole thing is manipulated. You don’t have proper vetting for the students because of fake colleges that just want to make money. You don’t have proper limits on immigration and criteria for jobs/skills because companies want to make money. Politicians just do whatever strategy gets votes. But for some reason people either only get woke about the positives of Indian immigrants or only negative, sometimes racist about them. It’s fair to acknowledge that rampant, unchecked immigration ruins the culture. Like Indian driving culture is fucking terrible. You don’t want to bring that shit over. You can also acknowledge that early immigrants and their kids are often completely American/Canadian, from their native language, accents, education, references etc. And that Indians are generally a low-crime, high-employment, high-tax-paying immigrant group. And we ALSO acknowledge that that’s changing because of the type/number of people coming in, and the financial and political incentives which support it. It causes valid resentment. These fucking human smuggling rings are real af. Wokies don’t ever talk about it. But I wish we could have this conversation without the racism.

You should come to Portland OR and Vancouver WA, Seattle area too - compare and contrast these communities to the Russians that moved here in the 90s. Still only one generation, but very assimilated, just with old foods and some customs of the old land. Like Germans, Scandinavians, English, Scottish, Polish, Italians, French immigrants. 2nd gen is already thoroughly Americanized. By 3rd generation, impossible to tell the difference. Looks like a Russian, but Russians look very American generally. Many such cases. And then the Mexis, Somalis, Indians... Even the fresh Ukrainians are a little uh... but I think at least the Ukies will adapt quickly

I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. Almost never seeing any other race but Indian lol. It all has to do with Trudeau's dad designating that city as a go-to place for Indian migrants. The Trudeau's are part of the whole Satanic New World Order, and part of that order is using mass immigration as a weapon to destroy 1st world countries. His father started it back in the 70s. And yeah the driving is absolutely horrible. The car insurance skyrocketed. They destroyed the city I grew up in. It's a shit hole now. Many of them will tell you that India itself is a shit hole, but the more of them that come to Brampton, or wherever, they turn it into India. I don't consider it racism. It's their people but it's not like it's all of them, but it is a lot. From personal observance, they're the most unhygienic people I've ever met, and they love easy jobs the involve scamming others out of money. All of those scam callers are Indian. Nothing else. They have no dignity. No self respect. They just want money and don't care how to get it. I generally don't like them, but it's because of their negative behaviors. There are plenty of other races that come to Canada that people love. Have you ever heard of anyone complain about Filipinos? No. They're loved. They come here and know how to assimilate while keeping their own heritage intact in respect to our own. They're friendly, respectful, hygienic. Indian people just want to come here and make this place Indian and they have tons of kids, so that's exactly what's happening. Brampton was cooked years ago. It's just going to devour itself and fully become an extension of India, and it already has been spreading out from Brampton to the surrounding cities.

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

Yes they’re are very primitive cultures in india also and very modern people also in the millions some are very poor and some middle class some very rich but you cannot put them all in one basket just like the western countries you have incest inbred people , look at small towns they’re full of inbred people worshiping snakes in churches in some southern states some have sex with animals like dogs and some live with dolls 😂, satan worship and sacrificing for rituals etc….. you cannot judge a society like that . Bruh the comment section is filled with racist people not minding india's population and seeing the not so big size of the country and still criticizing it for its poor infrastructure or people. The people also forgot how rich India was before united kingdoms invasion and how the British empire stole all the valuable resources from India like gold and used it for the development of London. It's also a fact that the people who have enough money or are rich in India live a good life where the infrastructure is good the people are good like the system in upper castes. The foreigners only see the bad side of India and the bad people who are poor and have to earn something for their family to survive. So pls I know that the things these are doing are illegal or bad but still don't blame whole India for it as those people are very poor have nothing to eat and so they get lured by strangers into doing these things. I can easily say tyler is racist because it's just bad things about India that he shows like the photo of punjab he shows like a random street in punjab a person is driving in motorcycle and there is garbage all around and not showing the golden temple or beautiful places there. I know the people should point out the mistakes of a country like dirty places there but like all the images shown of the country are dirty and not a single picture is good about it even though there are many. That clearly racist and the motive is clearly here to disrespect the countrys image

In my 42 years of working a service job I encountered thousands of immigrants.....I always found the East Indian people to be the easiest to get along with......there are good and bad apples in every culture but in general I found them always willing to help , talk and laugh with me.......many of them joked how they could out cheap anyone......and you've got to give them credit for finding the loop holes to get ahead

I’m grew up in Brampton, born here to immigrant parents who came in the 90s. The new generation of immigrants have really created a bad image for Indians here, I will encounter all kinds of racism online or in real life, and the hatred is real. I wish it wasn’t so, but Brampton and for that matter the GTA is not equipped to handle these many people. Then you get the sheer number of illegal rooming houses, fraud, general disrespect for the norms and traditions of Canada from the newer generations of immigrants it just really paints a bad picture of Indian people. I hope things can change and both Indians and Canadians can live together and foster mutual respect for each other, but we are a long ways away

This is going to sound super cruel but in American its just as bad, over the last 8 years over 30 family owned businesses or small restaurants have been taken over and bought out by Indian people in my area alone, the food quality dips, quality in general dips, they're rude, they get mad if THEY mess up at you which is super disrespectful. I come from a Hispanic culture do be respectful to other human beings if you enter another person's country. Your laws no longer apply here and people who are foreign seem to think that is not the case. I hate seeing local grocery stores get bought out because nothing feels the same. Its not a community anymore its an infestation of rude, self centered obnoxious foreigners who treat everyone like crap because they're miserable. Many don't last because American's aren't going to go to a place that isn't really local anymore its not the same faces they're used to its a cheap old Indian man who is too lazy to fix anything and gets mad when you order too much and by too much like 4 things....

It’s a problem here in Canada. They aren’t heading to the USA basically all of them stay cause it’s just easy. Nobody would have a problem if they made an effort to assimilate and some do but the ones who don’t ruin the image for the rest of them. Other obvious problem is we’ve let in too many people in in general like more people have come than living units have been built making many problems just right there and then and it’s not really the people who immigrates fault it’s the government. I know restricting imagination and making the test to get in harder so they actually have to know something about Canadas history and our culture and realistically we need to apply more pressure on the expectation that immigrants eventually assimilate.

I'm glad Tyler is more or less neutral in his findings. It's true, many Indian's have come to Canada and I'm sure many do wish for a better life. Canadians understand this, but the methods the government of Canada is doing to push the numbers too high and too quickly is what's surprising to many. It's the accountability of the government that should be under scrutiny. If immigration was moderate and consistent, the social issues would not be as rampant, but social media loves stir the pot. This is also happening while Canada's housing infrastructure is crumbling, healthcare is deteriorating and general cost of living in Canada has skyrocketed and priced many Canadians out of simple living and enjoyment. Do you think Canadians today are as happy or well off as Canadians even 5 years ago? Do the results reflect that of other countries besides Canada?

One thing that always surprises me is that a lot of immigrants actually don't like mass immigration. I worked with a polish lady who complained more than anyone about the amount of polish people. I've met a lot of Turkish people and a few of them weren't best pleased with the amount of turkish people, and in this video an Indian man says there's too much of it too. Its not an uncommon sentiment among immigrants that they specifically came here for a change in culture, only for it to follow them here. Specifically surrounding politics, a lot of them leave because of the politics where they were, only to find its just as much of a problem here because so many bring those problems over with them rather than leaving them behind. Just to clarify though while I think immigration is obviously a big problem in its current state, I'm not at all against the idea of immigration in general. I care more about where people are going than where they're from. Its just very odd when you hear a strong accented polish lady walk passed complaining and swearing about all the polish people. I guess it does make sense though, if i imagine desperately wanting to leave home for Australia, it would obviously be disappointing to arrive after packing up my life savings to find out all of the people and all of the things were exactly the same as back home. Pretty sad when you think about it.

Hate to say it, but bike guy is right. I work in a (genuinely) diverse area and African men are by far the worst customers. Incredibly condescending, interrupt me constantly, and if they have a wife/girlfriend with them, they're constantly berating her. I've found Indians are cheap but generally polite, the biggest problem is that there's just too damn many of them and they don't assimilate, so you become a stranger in your own hometown when they move in. I remember looking for a place to get takeout around my boyfriend's house and it was literally 90% Indian food, 10% pizza with butter chicken and tandoori toppings.

It should not surprise me that racism appears anywhere humans are, but what stood out was how some speakers treated all Indians as a single people, despite hundreds of cultures, and accused them of failing to assimilate to ‘their way.’ Many of those voices were themselves descendants of immigrants who were once pressured to abandon Norwegian or other identities in the name of assimilation. Yet there was little evidence they had actually spent time getting to know their Indian neighbors, their cultures, friendships, or daily realities. Instead, the focus was fear and a narrative of societal collapse, rather than honest engagement that separates real local issues from blanket blame. Of course, any local community can have problems, and some groups can be unwelcoming. But the argument presented implied there is only one way to be Canadian. That echoes xenophobic rhetoric in the US about who counts as ‘American,’ often while ignoring the reality of Indigenous peoples entirely. I do not deny the importance of shared commitments like the rule of law, freedom, and evidence based policy rooted in the Enlightenment and scientific thinking. But culture and learning can coexist with those values. What troubled me most was how poverty and discrimination were replaced with racial generalizations, and how victim language was used to deflect responsibility, something that resembles DARVO. Given the same conditions, these problems could arise in any group, regardless of race.

I am an African with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, and I can bet you bike guy doesn't have a high school diploma, but he wants to talk about the intelligence level of all Africans? I've written two books and contributed a chapter to a compendium on journalism in West Africa. While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense. I would like to see just one contribution from fatty to scholarship😂😂. EDIT: By the way, some of Africa's brightest minds include Ngozi Okonjo, an economist and politician (Nigerian) who serves as director general of the World Trade Organization; Vera Songwe, an economist (Cameroonian) who served as head of the UN Economic Commission for Africa; Dr. Tedros Adhanom an Ethiopian doctor who currently serves as DG of the World Health Organization; Prof. Salim Abdool Karim (South African) scientist globally respected for his research on immunology; Aliko Dangote (Nigerian) and Africa's richest man and one of the top 100 richest people in the world according to Forbes. The list is too long but fatty there wouldn't know because he's as dumb as a rock and it's easy for him to spew garbage rather than read an actual book or question the stereotypes which he's fed about Africa by his chosen echo chamber.

It’s good to hear some are thinking of leaving to the US. I truly wish for their success. I worked at a college that became a diploma mill in Vancouver and you couldn’t go to the men’s room without seeing 3 or 4 dudes hanging out. Foreign students also take from the food banks enough to have 1st year students now banned and many people no longer donate. I generally have great experiences Indian people, and have travelled India extensively, but if you let in too many of one type the native population will have a hard time and the immigrants themselves won’t integrate and build their own society. Canada is full of various ethnoburbs for decades and it has generally worked for the benefit of the country. Go to Markham or Richmond and it's 80%+ chinese. Vaughan is mostly Italians. So many areas of the country has had immigrant populations like Brampton does. The problem is not the immigrants. The problem is with Canadian leaders, and the Canadians who elected and reelected them to office. I lived in Nova Scotia for just over 2 decades. I attempted to have many discussions about these issues and was shocked by the generally vapid responses I'd get. Much more to say, but the main point is that Canadians have destroyed their own country's quality of life and from what I can see, Canada is not worthy of respect as a nation. I take ZERO pleasure in saying this. However, the country should have provided the United States with a up close example of what a well run social democratic nation looks like. Instead, Canada is a joke to the far right and in fact fuels the far right in the US. Now with the global south amassing on the US's northern border (visit Halifax, NS if you have any questions about this), I view Canada as a threat to the USA - which is a nation with more than enough problems. If you had all the points, you would be selected. It took about three years, and while waiting, you could not apply for any visa to enter Canada. The security check was part of the process, and the Canadian government asked applicants to enter the country by bringing money (Like one year's salary). This system was a perfect plan, and many Western countries wanted to copy that (As I heard on many French and American radios before), but the liberals broke the system! And I still don't know why!

I live in this general area and have recently retired. True, this area doesn't look like the area did, when I was a kid and since I worked in the technical field, I was in a real minority. So I've worked with many people of color and don't have a problem with that, or the religion, or culture they come from. That said, they are individuals and have faults like everyone else. Often, there is an automatic victimhood or racists assumption, that will get thrown in your face, but with a little thought and practice that's easy to foil, without being apologetic, since you should NEVER be apologetic, if there is no reason to be.

It’s very interesting because Indians seem to be more thick skinned than Canadians in general, so even white ppl’s reservations or microaggressions don’t register to them and they just keep expanding on positivity. I’ve met many Indian people in Canada and it almost seems like they’re so positive and community minded that they think it’s small minded to be stingy about sharing space, which can clash with the general reserved nature of Canadians but also make you feel embarrassed in a way about being judgmental. You even see it in this video with the white guy asking judgey questions to Indians but he gets showered with food and hospitality from the Indians. No matter how you fight it you kind of get overpowered by their positivity…

Watching from Kolkata, India. In my city and surrounding areas, we have illegal immigrants who are mostly Muslim Bangladeshi. They dont assimilate, hate Hindus or non muslims in general, do illegal stuff and busy in converting and reproducing so that demographic change can happen and it has happened in many districts. The government is helping them to gain vote banks. I completely understand them. Even in India we know the people that went to Canada were shady even in India. Many of them sit in Canada and issue threats to Indians and India. This is all well known.

And too many Indian's in Canada also caused salaries in IT to go down the toilet. In the late 90's as an AS/400 computer operator I was making $23/hr. and when I left IT in 2018 I was making $15 hr. You can't tell me these big companies like HP don't love Indian workers who will work for peanuts; sure they do. And the pay rate in general IT work went down and down.

Hard truth. White people became spoiled with their lives. So many would rather live and burn through their desires in their youth than bother with getting married and having children. The drugged and homeless are generally not immigrants but white Canadians, why? Brown families revere family, communal bonds, and dedication/loyal to kin. Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

Here's the root of most of the problems, its gov. policy, you take in a million new people a year, give them everything and your dollar ends up losing value, so even though your working hard, you cannot get ahead in this country. So you end up going into a debt that you can't pay off and the problems increase. Taxes go up value of the dollar keeps going down, so in the end its a no win situation for most of the general population and its the same when you retire, you get an income that's not enough even to pay for rent in the city you were brought up in. This is a very serious problem and gov. does not seem to do anything about it, food banks are overwhelmed along with medical staff, food prices and rents have gone out of sight as far as prices are concerned. We have a national debt that never gets paid and a gov. that spends more money than it takes in in taxes. And a dollar thats going to H in a handbasket. Too much crime, too much violence, too many traffic jams and too much drug use. I have written to this liberal gov. and told them how to fix these problems but they don't listen, their agenda is with the WEF, you will have nothing and you will be happy, right, no. We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

There are some two bedroom apartments, and three+ bedroom apartments are very rare. One of the reasons for this is a general mindset that apartments are for singles, young childless couples and retired empty-nesters, while families are supposed to live in a house of their own. Another reason is that some archaic building codes restrict the type of apartments developers can fit in a building. The result of this is that in a country which certainly does not lack space, there are now tons of small apartments (the demand for which has been going down in many areas), but it's too expensive to afford a larger space to buy (whether a house or one of those rare large apartments) once you want to start a family.

It's just something to be aware of.\n\nIn downtown, it's common to see large gatherings where people are dancing, playing loud music, and sometimes drifting cars. There's also a tendency for loud phone conversations on public transport, which can be seen as disruptive since people here are generally more sensitive to noise in public spaces.\n\nThat being said, I have no hate at all—one of my best friends is Indian, and I really appreciate how they always support me without expecting anything in return.
