I'd honestly prefer Indians over Middle Easterners. Hindus and Sikhs aren't proselytizers and generally have a much more mellow religious vibe, unlike Muslims. Plus, Indian food is the shit, I dig curry and samosas. The thing you really have to be careful of, as is the situation with any instance of mass migration, is to be aware if newcomers are taking advantage of Western social assistance programs, like the Somalis have done with the welfare system. They need to understand that to be welcomed as new Americans, they have to work. Indians have proven to be industrious through hotels and convenience shops. I'd prefer them to Middle Easterners or certain cultures of Africans. That all being said, they should also come to understand that, having moved to a modern country, there's very little point in having massive families with ten kids. No need to endlessly spawn more people to help with chores like water fetching when you have indoor plumbing. It's an unfortunate trend a lot of migrants have trouble getting over, the endless breeding that makes locals anxious that they'll become a minority in their own country in just a few generations.

What you have to understand are that the indians that came here 10+ years ago or the ones born here are completely different than the new ones especially these fake "international students". The ones that moved here before had the social capital, finances and resources to move. The new ones, their family bring them over or they use student visas bc they dont have the wealth. Class is everything when looking at this issue. Even the old demographic of Indians dont like the FOB ones because they cause trouble and dont assimilate or even try

Canada is in trouble. European countries are now removing Muslims as they have had enough. The US are doing the same. Will this mean these folks will head to Canada. In every country that extreme Muslims moved into their negative behaviour had a major impact on the citizenry. And these countries are no longer tolerating this.

Canada is in trouble. Joining with the US would help both countries. Detroit would benefit from Canadians moving there, as would other US cities along the border. Canadians would get a place to live, and the US cities would be cleaned up and made livable again. Canada is suffering from too many people with few skills. The US foundry area hasn't recovered. If Trudea and Canada could see it, joining with the US would benefit them, and the US.

I live in Nashville, TN USA. I am so sorry Canada is suffering due to Trump. I do not support this move on Trump's part. I never voted for him. I have known for many years he is a dangerous narcissist. Canada is our friend. You have come to our aide in times of trouble. Our forest fires, 911 when the planes hit our twin towers. Trump wants a 4.5 Trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy. He sees tariffs as a way to make up some of that money alone with huge budget cuts to many of our programs. Trump is an unreasonable person who only thinks about himself. I hope he will eventually be impeached. I do not blame Canada. I blame Donald Trump and the the Republican Congress. This is a coupe going down in our country and it is sad to watch. Take good care.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long

In indian 11/2 & 21'2 apartment 10-15 people up-down sleep, share with many, pee or poo use the toilet outside in the field or jungle, they drink cows' pee. In Canada people use the toilet inside and clean it each weekday, no food is thrown outside, and No clothing is dry or washed inside by hand. so indians can't destroy beautiful condos by doing all. The balcony can't filled with food or fill with bad stuff, balconies are for sitting and flowering. Before moving out apartment should be as clean as taken, The Indian left the apartment dirty, and damages with denied all. They're only busy making money not to clean any apartment, In this situation which landlord will accept them to get rent after suffering all the damages. Indians frequently move out without or not respecting the lease term. They never stayed long. Each year, 2-3 - 6 months they left doing all trouble with landlords. Which landlord will rent the frequent flippers with no good credit or references to the flippers?

This is really sad becuase life after deportations is tough for somebody who was raised in USA. I was taken to the U.S. as a baby and grew up there, but at 19, I was sent back to Mexico—a country I had no memory of, no connections in, and barely spoke the language. My entire family had migrated when I was little, so I was left to figure everything out on my own.\n\nComing back felt like being thrown into an unfamiliar world. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. There's a piece missing in the puzzle. Has anyone asked where's Mexico in all of this? everyone seems to forget that they're America's southern neighbor, and they're not helping with anything to mitigate the border crisis. Mexico has to be sanctioned, because they're not actively partaking in the protection of the shared border with the US, they're allowing immigrants to cross the border unchecked, sparing themselves the trouble of dealing with them. They're throwing the ball in America's court, making immigration America's problem. Since they share the border with America, they have an obligation to combat illegal immigrantion but they're not doing that. They want to get rid of their crimnals and the poverty in their country not by enforcing the law and trying to invest in their infrastructure to enhance the living standards of their people, instead they're encouraging them to move to America to find a better life. America doesn't have to pay the price of Mexico being a failed country. They're turning their backs on their own citizens and trying to get rid of them, obliging them to take the perilous journey across the border where they're prone to crime, drugs, rape, human trafficking, sex trafficking, child abuse and all sorts of tragedies but to them the ends justify the means, and they have the nerves to call America racist and inhumane for not rescuing them from the situation that they created for them in the first place. Since the vast majority of illegal immigrants came across the border with Mexico, they should be deported back to Mexico, and Mexico can take it from there, not our problem anymore

What a scary time for everyone in every country. We Americans are of the mindset that we don't move, we stand our ground and defend our beliefs. We too are having troubles but we're about to vote out the bad and bring in the guy to get US thriving again and back on track.

I wanted to move Germany because of all the benefits you mentioned however the German policy concerning Palestine and those who support it is very troubling. They seem to easily switch back to their old ways of Nazism and repression.

I live on Vancouver Island across from Vancouver. I have a beautiful apartment, just under 1000 sq.ft. with a 450 sq.ft. deck across the street from the ocean. I pay $1475 per month all included and I have a large dog. My son lives in Victoria in the top floor of a house in the beautiful Gorge neighbourhood: 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms all utilities included for $1800. My sister has a 3 bedroom townhouse in Victoria, she pays $1500 per month (no utilities included). I only wish nobody wanted to live in Canada. I have seen the population here explode in recent years to the point where many people are having trouble finding housing and our infrastructures are not keeping up to the numbers. And they KEEP COMNG. PLEASE EVERYONE STOP COMING TO CANADA!!! ESPECIALLY STOP COMING TO BC! AND THAT INCLUDES ALL THE OTHER CANADIANS WHO KEEP MOVING TO BC. STAY HOME!! In your opening you were telling the Australian story too of paradise fumbled in the last decade or two, until you got to the homeless encampments, public opioid epidemic and laxness on crime, which hasn't gotten such a move-on here as yet. But there's no doubt that Western governments in general have refused to grapple with the rising problems of the 21st Century and done their best to import the troubles of the world. Thing is, whenever I see the news from other countries it's no better and usually worse so maybe, ironically, that small town in Saskatchewan will look better than you gave it credit for once your travels are done.

I went to Germany for my Masters at one of their top universities, back then (10 years ago) taken in by their great public image and a personal interest in Germany history and culture. Looking back now having also experienced living in the UK, HK and Sweden thereafter, I can understand why Germany has trouble attracting the top talents, or any ambitious individuals seeking to develop their career overseas.\n\nIt doesn't provide the money.\nIt doesn't provide a dynamic enough market and opportunities.\nIt doesn't provide the same type of diversity and excitement in truly world-class cities like London, HK etc. Don't get me started on food.\nEverything is functional but that seems to be the sole standard to aspire to. \nGermans are not the people whom you can bond easily. Sincere and friendly many are, but the amount of effort needed to even crack beyond that shell is ridiculous. In this respect I think most north europeans are quite cold and distant. But working with Germans you need to also handle their 'honesty', intensity and directness on top of that. Went to Canada in 2005 first. Things were so different. Was there just for a year before moving to California for about 9 years. Now back in India and love it here. Glad I enjoyed the good days in Canada and USA when it was really good times there. Even Many parts of Uaa are like this now. UK too is bad choice. I worked for a Canadian school/institute as their admissions advisor for India. But when things were not looking good for their job prospects I honestly told them not to go or wait to get in a better US university. Ofcourse this ethical mindset was causing trouble with my work profile and targets, so I quit. Atleast I won't feel guilty of misguiding hopeful students who were ready to take education loan by keeping their homes or ancestral lands as mortgage. I will advise the new generation to choose any country for education after doing all research, not just by the glossy picture they portray.. or best to stay in India and help our economy grow.. create jobs here. Better to live a life king size here than doing labour work in other countries. Better to be a part of growing India than being a secondary citizen somewhere else. Apna desh apna hota hai.???

I have no problem with people coming from other countries to find a better life in Canada. Work ,pay your bills and stay out of trouble ,you should have a nice life . The problem comes from leaving a country where you were not happy and trying to bring that country to Canada. I am sorry you ae not happy in Canada, I encourage, you to move on.

I’m a 68 yr old female Senior (caregiver) living in my car because my only option after a 3 yr wait was BC Housing near the DTES … these are SLUMS that we are supposed to be Thankful for … most of these buildings answer to no one because they get their funding from a number of sources … the STAFF are allowed to treat the Residents anyway they like, with No Conscience… if Canada can’t supply decent housing to their Citizens then they should STOP IMMIGRATION… most new immigrants are treated better financially then the citizens who live here …. The building I lived in is called PENDERA at Pender St. & Beatty Street in Vancouver… it ALL looks good from the outside so people really want to move in …. That’s when the trouble starts … I lived in a RAT INFESTED APARTMENT FOR 6 yrs!!!

I went to high school in Brampton in the early 80's and there were no people from India anywhere... it was very much a white anglo town, and then I moved to Montreal for 25 years to work as a fashion designer. (I remember the shock of flying into Toronto on business and walking outside to get a taxi... there was an endless line of Indian guys wearing Turbans, waiting by their taxis. It was a very strange feeling, as I was not sure if I was in Canada or India.) About 10 years ago, I moved back to Ontario to live in Guelph and had heard the joke about Brampton becoming 'Bramladesh' by people at the dog park, and in the past 5 years, (since they built the massive temple in Guelph) the place has turned into a mini India, as EVERY house put up for sale, is bought by a family from India, with 4 or 5 cars in a 2 car driveway, (strangely, as soon as they move into the house, they all rip out the asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) they seem to be a tribal people and every house is filled to capacity, as the husband and wife are with their kids, the brother and his wife and their parents, all living together. (They are friendly people and they don't cause any trouble... my only issue is the intense stench of spices from their house that fill the air 24/7 to the point that you cannot sit in the back yard or open a window, without being punched in the face from the powerful odour of spices!)

Trudeau still paying (with Canadian immigration deal )for his free luxury trip to the Agha Khan's island way back when he was first elected ! TRAITOR!!! I am actually safer in Portugal now than I am in Canada...never thought I'd live to see the day Canada is in so much trouble!!! Millions of dollars going to support Syrian families ! A mother with 4 children of whom not one spoke french or english was moved into my neighbourhood..costing tax payers well over $80,000 a year to support them...and will continue for the rest of their lives...

Born and raised in Toronto, moved away for good about 6 years ago. \nLack of social cohesion, too expensive, too much crime, too much traffic. It's on track to becoming a wasteland. Canada is in trouble. \nRapid mass-immigration has been a complete failure due to a plethora of reasons. Some politically, some economically, and some culturally. \nDiversity to this extent is inherently and predictably destructive.

I work and live in canada and have no interest in living here in long term. Canadians born and brought up in canada struggle themselves cant afford to buy a house and live a comfortable life and invest in canada. Canada is good at selling you the idea of moving,working and studying here. but it isn't worth the trouble at all.

Funny thing, Halifax is bursting at the seams with new arrivals. It’s expected to double in size in the next decade. There’s another ethnic grocery store opening every week. Our population has grown by 10 million people in 20 years, largely due to immigration. Toronto is bursting at the seams and is the most polyglot city on the planet. I have noticed a lot of these whiny videos by immigrants who say it’s no good to move here. I think they are not telling the truth about the tsunami of immigration going on here in Canada right now. Trouble is, there’s not enough housing for the 40 million people here right now. There’s not enough doctors, nurses, hospitals, social services/workers to service our present population. Still, the government flaps its gums about wanting 100 million people here by 2100. If that’s true, southern Ontario will look like Tokyo. There has to be a reevaluation of putting the majority of new arrivals in the GTA. If people want to move here, they should be willing to go to smaller cities and towns across the country.

Canada is not the same Canada 55 years ago when people were so happy and the country was moving forward, The Whole Country is in BIG trouble now. It's not keeping up with population growth. ???

Toronto votes Liberal so it drags itself along with the rest of Canada nto decline. Trouble is that the Toronto Liberals move to less Liberal areas and keep voting Liberal and bringing those areas into decline. \nYears ago i visited Toronto and was surprised to see an elderly man sleeping in a cardboard box in the rich financial district. I had such a trouble getting an apartment because of AirBnB's and other short term rentals. Having people only live in town for 6 weeks of the year before leaving town again for the rest of it. Bonavista has been pretty aggressive with trying to deal with it; but its certainly not enough.\n\nIt gets worse. The lumber mill has was sending as much as it could down south to the US during the pandemic so what build materials one could get was extremely overpriced and low quality making renovations take forever do to the lack of materials.\n\nWhen I was living in Labrador there was a hydro project and speculation caused rent to go from 500 to 2000 CND. The lack of rent control was crazy. I had no chance of ever moving back to my hometown and I'm stuck with part time work where I am.

Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

All I can say as a Canadian is why would anyone want to move to the USA.The more I learn the more I love where I live the USA is a hot mess and watching the kind of people that you elect is mind boggling . Why would anyone support a bottom feeder like Donald Trump to run their country. You don't have to be a scholar to realize this man is beyond corrupt and a really bad person. Who in the world other than a 12 year old, makes up names for people and whine all the time just watching this man perform is an eye opener and as a Canadian I'm embarrassed for Americans. This man is taken a once great country and making it a laughingstock. This man should be pushed aside and find someone better to represent the Republicans . If this is the best you got you guys are in trouble.

I never want to move down in United States first of all they don't have free healthcare they don't have free medication while some medication and their food does not taste like ours I've tried their Pizza Hut that I found was totally disgusting they're McDonald's was totally different also lots of flies in this in the restaurant around where they make the hamburgers and that they're washing very filthy women's washroom overpopulated and you never know when you're walking on the street when you're going to get killed by a gun at least where I live it's a slower pace it's starting to become crazy with the homeless and people that like to make trouble but they're still not that much guns because we don't allow it it's more safe we can still walk on the streets without anything happening happening even at night where I live it's a slower pace the air quality is also better it's not muggy as much as the states a lot of places people here are more friendly but just like it here I was born here

I've worked with a lot of people who have moved to the US for work. It's a very compatible place for Canadians to go. The culture is very similar. People move for work pretty seamlessly. I lot of older canadians go to the southern US for 6 months a year for the weather but maintain their canadian citizenship for he medical coverage. \n\nThe COVID mess where twice as many US citizens per capita died compared to Canadians was a bit of a downer. Watching how poorly the political system seems to be to deal with all the real world problems that are out there. \n\nThat 73,000,000 voted for a self admitted scammster and criminal for President is troubling. \n\nThe Gun mess also tends to chase people off. \n\nThe American people seem to be desperate to maintain their freedom to kill each other. I'm not interested in that freedom

This doesn't move me with sympathy, it moves anger in me. My family and I were homeless in the U.S. all because I decided to further my education with a school who claimed to be accredited and all this stuff but quickly found out it all was a sham....so in not securing my deposit on a new place or being financially able to fight an eviction were the property basically got paid twice for bs they didn't handle...all because the irs took my income tax which I was depending on being I just started a new job and had 3 weeks before my first paycheck...we were on the street....everywhere I turned was a wait-list and no one I mean no entity would help us..... claiming lack of funding or some proof of homelessness other than papers proving your eviction....just so many ridiculous things....it took us a while to get off the streets and this is kids born on this soil....with a citizen who never been in trouble with the law, 3.8 gpa, educated and motivated and employed.....on the street and although now we have a roof as U.S. CITIZENS still struggling to find our footing....and STILL NO HELP...NOT A FOOD STAMP NOTHING and the lights are out due to the landlord....soooo I'm not sympathetic of these people....I struggled and still struggling in MY OWN COUNTRY WITH NO HELP FROM MY COUNTRY....GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND FIGURE IT OUT.....

My childhood friend moved from California to outside of Vancouver right before entry into high school. He has a very high iQ. He was also well stable at home and was placed the highest you could be at the time in language and maths. \nIn high school in Canada, this AP American student, had to go to middle school for math. The Canadian school system didn’t offer algebra 2 above middle school. \n30 years. Do Both countries walk hand in hand thro troubles?! It seems like Canada is the younger brother that does better in grades but keeps quiet about it.

Funny I’m from a small town\nAnd I’ve been going to the same gas station/corner store for like over 15 years and this new guy follows me and watches my every movement...and when these white kids I know are trouble makers he doesn’t do a thing lol the store owner actually told him “oh he’s okay I know the family” because he noticed the new guy watches my every move and I let it go for weeks but the owner told him I’m okay and he had this look like he wasn’t convinced lol needless to say he quit and now works at another store across town..another place I go to lol I said “hi man! Don’t like the area at the other place?” Lol just had to bug him because he’s uncomfortable around other races and it’s painfully obvious that he is lol

Hiii. So I plan on moving to Canada in maybe 3-4 years or so after I finish highschool? I’m black and I live in America, and I was wondering if there’s police brutality and racism towards blacks in Canada? The thought of being targeted because of my race terrifies me, and I don’t want to be around this. Also I don’t want to get into any trouble with anyone, considering the fact that I’ll be a woman, alone, but would my race or gender play a big part in my safety? First step when planning on moving to another country, try the legal system.\nStep two, once there assimilate the culture and language.\nStep three, don't force yourself into their society.\n\n\nIt is also stupid to blame immigrants for everything wrong happening in America, there are plenty ignorant Americans who will think with their asses before learning about history and how America's game of an economic hitman is causing many troubles around the world, immigration is just a side effect.

Native Americans have trouble with drinking I have rented to native Americans several times and it has never worked out once the money from their grants run out or once they fall off the wagon and start drinking again they end up getting evicted I have tried several times it has always been a disaster many of them have come to me saying they have a drinking problem they've stopped drinking they want to move to get away from their friends that they drink with and if I would give them an opportunity they would be very appreciative a month or two later they are beating up each other it's not my fault that Native Americans have a drinking problem it's also not my fault that need of Americans get a lot of government money and do not hold jobs in a disproportionate percentage of their population
