Hey there, you fine American... Just to let you understand, our system is FAR from perfect, but it's still easy access and quick service IF you don't need a rare specialist or a not so rare one). The thing is, it's ALL priority based, so if you wait, it's because someone needs your resources even MORE than you do. Sometimes, it ends up in a tragedy, but MOST times, it allows for the neediest to get it first. \nAs far as having children here, we have a NEGATIVE birthrate, so our government PAYS us to have children. My son grew up in Quebec, and they have a double everything. Double taxes (not that bad after the tax deductions and credits), but they also Double the safety net and services, compared to the rest of Canada. Not only was childbirth free, so were the pre-natal courses and everything else, AND we got around 1000$/mo in childcare benefits, until he turned 18, with full of tax credits per kid. Plus, daycare was 5$/day back then, it's 7$/day almost 20 years later.. Pretty citizen friendly. \nThings MIGHT be changing though. Our conservatives are taking their talking points from the US GOP since COVID, and they are all-in to please their Oil lobby overlords and donators out in our prairies region. Well, i'm Canadian, (Montreal / Quebec) but am also a transsexual woman, and for the LGBTQ community, practicly all of the States are in the red flag. I can't go in florida, or Texas, or a lot of the States, because my life will be in danger... Well, California is open, New York +/-, and a few States, but you have laws to break us, if we are not into your religious team, we are in danger, even if we are, i'm a transsexual woman, i am in danger, and with Trump, we are more in danger in the States... The United States of America is dangerous, everyone has a f...k gun in there pockets and are ready to use it, and effectivly, the health condition, well, it's bad, how many people can't pay for health care, a lot, and they died... It's not just that, it's also the mentality of the Americans, you thing everything it's yours, the world is yours, but it's not true, we are only passager on this planet... And the American dream, can i laugh, it's a nightmare, be rich or die, wow... I'm not rich and i prefer to stay in the Quebec province, it's the worst place for the tax in the world, we pay a lot of them, but, it is so much more open.

US - the problem is when there are obvious problems you have a system that allows big money into politics, which allows for lobbying, which in my opinion is legal bribery. The idea that politicians had ( or have ) NRA ratings for supporting openly guns and not implementing the most logical of common sense gun control. \nHealthcare - in Canada, not having the healthcare tied to your employer actually makes Canadians a more free country. There are a lot of Canadians in the arts ( musicians, painters etc. ) that have the freedom to pursue any employment that wish, and not worry about the health benefits. \nIt kind of surprises me that you were surprised about school shootings. From what we see, that is not happening all in big cities. Sandy Hook was the worst. To think that Congress didn't do a thing after that, is reason enough not to want to move there.\nAnd Donald Trump has soured my wanting to ever even go there on holiday. Unbelievable that after two years, so many Americans believe anything he says, when he claims that he won in 2020 with not even a ounce of evidence to the contrary. There is not even a theory that would explain his claims. The mistrust of Americans with each other stems from people like Trump and Fox news. \nI think as you said - Healthcare alone is enough for almost any Canadian. I don't know anyone that owns a gun, I don't know of anyone who has gone bankrupt for being sick, and I never worry my granddaughter going to school and being shot.

This is what gives them a bad name! We don't even have enough jobs for us citizens. Our disabled can't even get disability or help yet they will come here illegally, get jobs we could use, n get welfare, disability, n anything else they can get for free while real citizens suffer. We should arrest them all n ban everyone who tried to come in illegally from ever being able to enter. We don't need more unruly, beggar pple comi g into this country. We are tired of supporting illegals. The best thing trump did was start building the wall. The worst thing he did was no finish it. They don't want us coming illegally into their country so USA citizens should give them a taste of their own meds.
