We need to take care of our own first. I am tempted by the threat of sharia law to be against Muslim people, although I realize that most are not bad but the radicals and their rate of reproducing scares me. We are losing Canada not just to trump but to the new immigrants. What should we do?

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Donald Trump and his administration have been captured by Russia. Every single thing he does that seems not to make sense, which seems to hurt America, are directives from Vladimir Putin. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

You need to realize what Trump's real agenda is. All he really wants is money. He wants to make himself and his rich buddies richer. His plan to do that is to cut government spending radically, and impose a sales tax to fleece American consumers. Once he's got the cash flow the way he wants, he will cut corporate tax and capital gains tax so that his companies and his investments can make a lot more money and so can his rich buddies, while still being able to pay off his lackeys in the senate and congress. I understand that there is a lot of people that take advantage of the system and they should be pay for abusing the system.I did not vote for trump and i would not vote for him even if i was having a nightmare because we know who he is and stands for.

First Trump's administration is going to be jacked up with little known outliers with controversial and radical ideas. That is what Trump is attracted to. His ideas of tariffs and mass deportations are deplorable. They both disadvantage the US instead making it better. However, the tariffs may as well be a scam to get companies profits as when Trump says 10% on item A, companies are going to raise the cost of item A 12 to 15% or so and blame the cost increase on tariffs. For deportation's, I hope most people realize that many working the fields as low wage labor are very well illegals, but they are hired because they keep food costs low. Raising all prices for the poor Republicans will not be beneficial because prices on goods can increase 15% or more but their employer is certainly not going give them a 15% raise to match the cost of living. So Trump has already made the business environment good for more profits by planning to make life more expensive for everyone so business can absorb the additional profits. Probusiness politicians help businesses make money and that money comes from households and the government. And making the government spend more means the government needs to tax more. But TRump is cutting taxes for the people that have the most money. And Trump raising prices with tariffs justs makes households poorer and business richer. Naturally, the stock market will record highs when all the indicators are that business will be making much greater profits from households when Trump takes office.

Not sure if she realizes that many Americans consider people not born here as “outsiders” whether you have a “green card” or not!! SHE IS VERY LUCKY SHE ALREADY HAS HER “GREEN CARD” OR she’d be one of the many going back to their own country soon! \n\nPretty sure TRUMP views ANYONE who wasn’t born here doesn’t belong here, EXCEPT HIS & J.D. This is cruel and beyond that it's economically idiotic. Just wait until your grocery prices go through the roof. Farmers CANNOT find Americans to pick tomatoes, watermelons, etc. etc. American citizens just simply won't do the work.There are countless other industries that use undocumented workers. We are headed for a higher inflation again if this is implemented. How about immigration reform instead? How about work permits? How about paths to citizenship? We need the workers. Our legislators should do their job and come up with immigration reform rather than spend billions rounding up people and hamstringing our economy in the process. Maybe this move along with tariffs will help Americans realize that electing Trump was a mistake.

He married two of them.\n\n This country needs immigrants because the birthrate is not keeping up with the demand the workforce needs. Without them prices will go up. It should be easier for them to come here legally. Why do these old immigrants blame new immigrants instead of corporations who exploit the illegal immigrants.

I am an American born in NY, raised in VA. I also lived in Van Nuys for a year, also lived in Texas before my job industry moved me to Canada. \ni have been in Canada for 7yrs, been to Vancouver, Toronto and MTL and to be honest i like a lot of things in Canada like the health care differences and of course the lower insulin cost for my husband but i still want to go back home. If anything i would stay in Toronto because it's the closest similarity to home but where Aba and Preach live, in Montreal, it's literally been my nightmare. I feel like the tap water at least in my area has gotten worse over time. \nOne thing i feel like they didn't mention that I have to tell people from America to watch out for is the credit card vs debit card thing. \nI grew up only having debit cards because i didn't want to get into debt. when i came to Canada i continued getting a debit card and realized the hard way that not everything accepts debit cards and you NEED to also have a credit card to access certain things.\nbut overall i do feel much safer in Canada even though the crazy trump lovers are showing up here and there it's significantly less than i see when I'm back home.
