Thank you for this. As a single mom of 3 kids in their 20’s I am shocked with the seeming hypocrisy in our country right now. Those who have deflect and blame trump for all our problems. We need to stop blaming and start paying attention to what really matters - our own citizens who are suffering.

While the end result is the actual "immigrant", you can tell these new immigrants all day and night to go back to their country... The immigrant themselves will be looking at you like... Huh? Why? Not understanding why people say that to them. Folks, the Trudeau/Carney Gov was the problem all along. Trudeau's campaign on bringing 500,000 a year made this a field day for everyone around the world... Furthermore the campaigns they would have in other countries to literally sell the idea for them to apply to become an immigrant in Canada. The libs are 100% responsible for what is happening now... For me to tell an immigrant, the he/she is not wanted here is not relevant... The government sold them the pitch to come here for a better life.... Trudeau allowed other loopholes to happen too.... Migrants through applying to colleges and universities, migrants through the liberal foreign work program and the list goes on. Now we have a problem and everyone sees it.... The question is what do we do as Canadians... I exercised my vote for blue...but we still had a majority of liberal supporters which was not just surprising but it seemed that people think Conservatives are bad people who are racist and want to follow trumps steps... i begged to differ.... I think what many of us are aiming for is a cleaning up of liberal policies... And stop immigration from ALL PLACES. Allow Canada to re-coop, reestablish and redevelop what it always was.

It's quite understandable when it seems overnight Canada is invaded by Indians from India! What happened? Did the Canadian borders opened wide for the Indians to march in, or were the immigration staff permanently zonked on marijuana and didn't notice or just couldn't be bothered with stopping them over the last 3 to 4 years? Maybe. But really, the problem was definitely created by that despicable moron Trudeau( who even Trump could say to him in his face when he knelt and begged Trump not to hurt Canada with his tariffs, Trump just say ok if you agree to let Canada be the US's 51 st state!). He must have suffered from a terrible serious attack on his mental faculty and zonked on chanting Hari Krishna simply allowing his goons in charge of immigration to approve to let in that tidal wave of Indians especially in the last 4 years! What to do now? While we hate Trump for what he's doing to Canada on tariffs, Carney should give good thoughts to adopt actions like Trump's ICE GOONS to deport those who entered Canada illegally, and stop extension of visas to the zillions admitted on temporary work visas, and the tens of thousands of students who registered as "student" on student visas in private unregistered/approved institutes in name, but are actually working in various jobs illegally e.g. construction, etc.

Many years ago, Trudeau helped the Trump administration to backlog Ms. Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of Huawei's CEO. Now Trump wants to increase tariffs on Canada. This was just a few months ago. After Trudeau visited Trump, Trudeau was really embarrassed. No wonder Xi Jinping said Trudeau was very naive. It seems that there is a reason.??

I agree with some things Trump is doing. But fighting with foreign nations is not one of them. Canada even agreed to invest a billion dollars to fixing the border drug issues. But that doesn’t seem enough for Trump still.

Donald Trump is a degenerate. He is not making America great, but weak. He has already quarreled with Canada, Ukraine, Denmark, Panama, Mexico, France. He has weakened the USA both politically and economically. He has introduced restrictions on freedoms. It seems that he is tired of being president and is waiting for impeachment. Because he destroyed more in a month than was built in the last 70 years.

Trump has really the potential to ruin America. America will most likely ending up as North Korea. Mexico, Canada and even China seems to turn towards Europe. America government have always been trouble and I think they should be isolated from the rest of the world. And Nato should be cancelled and Canada, Mexico and Europe should build a new Alliance with Canada, uk or Germany taking on the mission as leaders.

I am from England and fully support my Canadian brethren. It seems to me that what Trump is doing is intentionally unravelling the USA and destabilising the rest of the world. I find it difficult to believe that it’s not intentional - surely Trump cannot be this stupid???

I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. Now I just think of how selfish it was to sabotage Canada. American private equities want to rock our system and buy up all they can and so I am happy we are watching for this. Trump wants everyone to spend money on military to fuel the American military industrial complex, something each and every huge tech company you have participated. You have essentially been taken over by a global entity that doesn’t care about democracy. We are going to manufacture our own weapons to have zero dependency on America. That makes no sense to buy weapons from the country threatening to invade you. \n\nHow will America feel to be totally alone in the global stage all under the power of one unstable man with multiple personality disorders. You know what, I still can't believe the Americans were stupid enough to elect trump. And according to the recent poll I saw on CNN 50% of Americans like what he's doing, and only something like 34% see Russia as an enemy. So far from being an accident, trump with his stupid ideas was elected on purpose. The stupidity over there seems to be deep-rooted. I certainly hope it doesn’t seem as though all Americans agree with what Trump is doing because many of us certainly do not. He doesn’t understand what the word diplomacy means unfortunately. With inflation rates rising, a trade war is one of the worst possible scenarios, and I agree with the Prime Minister. There are no winners here. Everyone gets hurt.

Let's not forget that the USA has only ever won one war on its own. The American Civil War! WW1 and 2 were a global allied effort, Korea a stalemate, beaten pants down in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan a shambles. Their recent treatment of President Zolenski was utterly shameful. Trump doesn't seem to understand that America will need all the friends that it can muster in the coming decade. The USA will be very alone in a war against China if they have isolated and belittled their strongest and best allies. Those who voted for Trump as president may be hurt by this president. Elections in the United States seem to be more about emotion than reason.

At least half of our country doesn’t want this either. We feel helpless (those who oppose Trump) but we will keep speaking out. We value you Canada, and our other long term allies. Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means.
