As a US citizen who didn't vote for the president (Trump) we have who is corrupt, self- serving and would have gone to prison if he had not been voted as president. I too am appalled at what he and his minions have done already. \nI understand what Canada has to do to protect itself. I support Canada.I feel for the Canadian people. Trump is a scourge to our country. Prime Minister Trudeau is too kind to Trump of being smart. He is not smart. He is hurting the American people in so many ways and he does not care. \nThank-you Prime Minister Trudeau and God bless the Canadian people and God bless the American people that didn't vote for Trump .

I wish he, and every politician spoke this clearly, succinctly and truthfully all the time\nExtremely well put. This is truly the dumbest trade war in history, and I curse whatever moron first whispered about the scourge of tariffs in Trump's ear.

“President” Trump is a malignant narcissist and is a scourge on society. Why can’t the citizens of this country figure that out?! Boggles the mind.

Just to let you know, a great deal of us don’t want this either. We are trapped in a growing nightmare that is a terrifying orange clown and his psychotic South African sidekick-they are backed by nefarious groups with deep pockets who have been plotting for years and were ready on day 1 when Frump took office. The state of our world does not need more Putins and Trumps-there are more of us than them. We can overcome if we are prepared to dig our heels in and fight for what we know is right. Whenever I become disheartened I remind myself of the Ukrainian people who have been at war, fighting mostly alone for years, and somehow holding their own. They deserve more. You deserve more. The American people deserve more. Together we will overcome this scourge!?????

Most of us know not to believe what Trump says about these tariffs (or anything else). He is a scourge to the world. As a US citizen am beyond disgusted that he was able to gain enough votes.?

US citizens, please do not divert your attention from where your primary attention should be and that is the Trump Administrations appeasement policies towards Russia. A 180 degree turn from opposing Russia to supporting Russia’s invasion of a sovereign diplomatically elected country. Canadians please do not direct your anger towards Americans who DO NOT support draft dodging Trump. US citizens will continue to support you and rid our country of this scourge!

As An American citizen I stand for righteous leadership and I stand with Canada, European allies and Mexico. Do what you have to do to protect your country your economy and your citizens. TRUMPSKI and his lap dog JD Vancekoff are ruining the United States of America!! They're not leaders, they're Russian assets, strongmen wannabe's and a scourge in the historical record of our nation. And all of the misled, under educated and misinformed folks who follow this man and his cult of personality have been lead astray by the propagandist on FOX News and right wing social channels and will pay for this just like the rest of us. Trump and his cronies are ONLY about enriching THEMSELVES and their friends and families. Not the working man and woman. Just the autocrats and oligarchs.

Don’t tariff America. As a Canadian two wrongs don’t make it right. Get the energy out. Triple our global output. Our autoworkers need jobs well let’s build Trudeau. Talk and winning. Global energy. Let BYD in with out tariffs. We don’t have an auto sector anymore. ? BYD and get over it ( the eagles ?). Trump is correct at our lack of defence. Maybe this will help. The only way to scourge out of fentanyl is a clean source and less social stigmatization of the sick. Don’t expect a smart man like trump to figure that out.

As an American, I feel shame for what our unfit executive team is doing to our country and our relationships with our friends and allies and abandoning the Ukrainians to Putin’s war crimes and immoral war. trump is a morally bankrupt miscreant and an embarrassment to America. Canadian friends , rational Americans will course correct and override this maga extremist scourge..

I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. However, my tolerance for stupid, hateful people is far lower since Trump was elected, and I swore I would not visit the US again until the WH, Congress and the Senate clean house of the Republican scourge. \n\nBut moving to the US would never be an option for me. I love Canada. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada - Vancouver Island. I was born here and have visited many places in the world, but this is, and will forever be, home!
