Why are Canadians paying for hotels for non-Canadians when Canadians are experiencing homelessness?

The Liberals are pulling the same play book that the UK did, and look at what they are currently experiencing.
They know full well that their open door system has caused this mess, and public safety has to be prioritized over ideology.

Hello...I gave my test yesterday. Got 17/20.
My Webcam stopped right after the test started (first question was on the screen). So, it asked me sign in again. I did so and it went all well after that. Anyone experienced that? Will it be an issue for my test while they review? Please let me know.
Update: I got my test marked as Completed in the tracker. I did not give second test.

The larger issue you don’t seem to understand or convey in your video is the fact that this racist and ignorance-fuelled behaviour becoming so normalized without thinking about the deeper issues at hand trickles into society at large is it eventually seeps into racism in general towards other cultures (although it’s not right towards any culture or ethnicity). Basically if you’re not white or white passing people become less inclusive or accepting, or write you off thinking you’re a foreigner (have seen this being experienced by a lot of Canadian born friends).
This is all in all a reflection of the failing critical thinking skills in our society and dumbing down of our culture.
If you think you’re gonna sit cushy and you’re safe because you’re not one of the indians, well you just might be next!
People have lost empathy and decency.
A lot of the videos posted online are exaggerated posts to garner views and engagement, but it’s not necessarily the truth.

Canada should be the last country to be experiencing a migrant crisis considering its next to impossible to illegally immigrate there and most people are aiming to get to the USA instead. They were very selective in taking in Syrian refugees in 2015 and they were the only country in the Americas to not be impacted by The Venezuelan crisis. The govt brought this on themselves lol

I'm white and obviously it's not all Indians, but the only demographic I've experienced racism and prejudice from are Indians. I try to remember to keep an open mind as generalizing is wrong, but it's getting harder and harder especially since majority of staff in jobs I worked recently are prejudiced and stick to their own ranks.
Good journalism M8 I can't believe you put yourself in that situation at the end

Born and raised in Toronto and am 100% fed up with the majority of the Indian population. 90% of what I've experienced in my encounters with them is racism. 😂

The racism these people are experiencing in our country is disgusting, beyond that the racism they experience on the internet?? The title you chose is so indicative of how you feel

I have experienced this firsthand. A few years ago, i visited Kingston (Near Toronto) to visit my indian friend. I met a lot of indian-canadians over there. They basically have their own community. To clarify, I'm not from Ontario. I live in a small town up north, so i dont reguarly see immigrants/people from different ethnic backgrounds.

love watching your videos, I am Canadian and live in the suburbs of Toronto. I was born in 1962. My first Indian experience came in a small high school 1976-1980 the school had a small Punjabi student population, the students for the most part were not hassled nor did they hassel back. My next and biggest Indian experience was a job from 1984-1991 I worked for an Indian family and got to see a portion of Toronto's Indian population. Culturally there were big differences however I enjoyed my experience working with them. My point being you say in your video 'sudden indian.' this is 2026 and I have been experiencing as have Canadians, the Punjabi culture for over 46 years so this is not a sudden or new occurance. And lastly as far as cultures from other countries go, having Hindu's or even Sihk's as neighbors is far better than other ethnic possibilities, so I do not have any issue with Punjabi Canadians! Anyhow continue your video just wanted to add my comment as I am living in Canada with Indians and want to express my opinion.

Visited Brampton for New Year's 2018. It was the closest weather I ever experienced! It was unbelievable how many Indians lived there back then!

East Indian Canadians are the most racist people Ive experienced. They seem to hold a real grudge towards first nation Canadians and really seek them out to abuse them.

I was born in brampton, lived in cbridge then to b.c.! I will never go back!
Heres a fun fact tho, the government opened the flood gate to immigration, red taped housing, started a catch and release program for repeat offenders, even violent ones! And made drugs decriminalised!
From what I heard, there was commercials and panphlets all over differnt countries saying come to canada for a better life, its great here! Many came and because of the housing shortage due to the red tape, people were sleeping on the street in front of the government offices! Its also colder then many people that have never experienced could even imagine! Then there starting from the bottom! A chip on there shoulder thinking the gov owes them and do whatever you can to get payed! Hence why there were so many car, jewlery store, liqure store thiefts and break & enters! The cops were literally telling people to keep there car keys near the door so the thiefs can take them with no altercation!
I blame turdo and sean fraser! Fun fact, sean fraser was the immagration minister then got cabnet shuffled to housing minister during turdos terms, idk what he is now but i think hes still in cabnet.
I try not to be racist but this failed experiment and just plain bad math/out of touch with reality cabinet ministers are litterally making people racist! Its too many, too fast, when there manipulating the housing market by red taping it so much nobody can get a shovel in the ground! The stupidity of the gov is insane! I dont like the convervatives either as they will just swing the pendulem so far the other way too fast, i.e. cut everything! Including when they were hurting single mothers on welfare and persons with disibilities, we need somthing new, maybe a.i. or the upcomming future party, idk but this crap is wak!

In New Brunswick, the fast foods runs on Indian labor.
You will notice that they all speak English. As someone who experienced the Canadian immigration system, I can tell you that the way they are doing it is far superiors the way the US does it. They actually try to determine if you're going to be a detriment to the society you're moving into. For example, if you are unable to prove that you won't be financially reliant on the state, they won't let you in. There are probably exceptions for refugees.

Young individuals are experiencing😂😂😂 an increase in unemployment and difficulty in finding jobs because of the long wait times. The process of solving these problems can be accelerated by AI systems. What is the duration of time these individuals are waiting for a job?

"One Edmonton immigration lawyer" should acknowledge the "real life", "genuine" "harshest stories" that are being experienced by Canadians as a result of the massive numbers of immigrants that have taken up residence here in the past ten years. Housing, jobs, health care... we've watched Canadians go homeless, jobless, and die in line to see a doctor.

Not against newcomers! I ve been in Quebec since 22 years now myself ; I am a Canadian citizen since 15 years now of course ; But it’s confusing… Why was Quebec still receiving more immigrants in such program when even thousands of locals were and are struggling to find jobs?
For the last 6 years I made a career in Private security ; I became an officer Liutenant at least I tried ; but now a days I don’t even have a job in security anymore ; too many immigrants applying for the same job / and frankly they do not care if the remuneration is only 21$ an hour / so officers can’t afford to work for less than 27$ ; because they have 6 years experience and more : it’s logical / however , comes an Arabic guy ; who quit the job he came here to do under the program , now he is looking for his first job out here in the real market ( does 80 hours training to get a BSP ) the guy had a college degree or university on something else ; and magically he becomes an officer with no experience for $24 dollars an hour
And any security company accepts him 🤷♂️
Conclusion : true experienced security professionals officers who built their careers from the bottom all the way up
Don’t have a job anymore
Remember , officers aren’t unionized 🤷♂️

Immigrants are unaware that the great opportunity they have in Quebec is worth its weight in gold. During their stay, they spend two, three, or five years here and neither speak, read, nor write French. They go about their daily lives like any other Quebecer who is settled here. And when the time comes to leave, they have to sell off what little they own and return with nothing. They shout and argue as if Canada owes them something, even though they haven't received any financial assistance from their own governments in their home countries, yet here they come demanding it. I hope that what they experienced here will motivate them to prosper when they return.

I went to a Sikh Temple when i was homeless in Victoria for a short while and was welcomed with wholesome hearts and a plate of warm home cooked healthy vegetarian meal. No judgement, and no frowning upon for not being Sikh. Love is universal and i experienced that 1st hand. One time, i was inadvertently at a Engagement party in same Temple and sat near the bride and groom! What an honour i thought! What a Loving religion without any pressure to convert. Bless Them!

Before Trudeau UK had the biggest number. He brought in 3m+ that made Indian population higher in Canada than UK. SA, Tanzania and Kenya also have big numbers. Idi Amin used brutal means to kickout British Indians in Uganda. Colonialist English empire was the cause of of Idi Amin's actions. British Kingdom migrated thousands of Indians as cheap labour to build rail lines to mineral rich regions extending to DRC- Uganda city of Kasese and Kilembe mines. When the railway was completed, they offered them British citizens including those born in Uganda. The colonial British gave them business loans, including Indian banks to extend credit and loans to Indians without surerities. They were allocated colonial govt freehold land for free in the most prime areas of uganda major cities like Kampala, Jinja, Masaka, Mbale, Soroti, Mpigi, Tororo etc while black Ugandan indegenous people were pushed into the rural areas to work in factories, mines and businesses set up for British Asians. As you can guess, business class get super rich while Africans who didnt work on their own coffee, cotton, and domestic farms were left to work as clerks, securicor, teachers, Christian clergy/ reverands and local tax collectors for the govt. Brutal as he was, Indi Amin saw and used this imbalance as a second liberation war, economic war, to kick out all British Asians holding UK Passports and any other Ugandan born who didnt want to abide by the authority of indegenous people. Amin killed whoever tried to challenge his life president, he killed 72 ugnadans, mainly politicians by public firing squad aired on TV. He killed the Anglican Archbishop Luwum, he killed the 1st Ugandan Chief Justice Ben Kiwanuka. He was brutal BUT, every Ugandan is celebrating his nationalism of caring for ordinary people AND opening their eyes on trade and business by KICKING OUT economy sacking British Asians. This is history I saw and followed because i was a kid in primary school at the time 1972. In addition to that Indians in Uganda were so arrogant to indegenous Ugandans, I experienced it. So when i see how Canadians resent them I dont feel for them unfortunately. I already had enough on my plate in Canada. Indians were the owners of biggest to smallest shops in major cities and town in Uganda because of free capital and soft loans, financed business premises thru the colonial British suckers. They showd that arrogance which pissed most of the indegenous Ugandans. For example if you went to a shop and burgained on a KG of sugar or bread, or shirt, and didnt get fail to buy because you dont have that much or failed to get a good deal, the Indian shopkeeper would insult any Afriacn in Indian- Luganda accent " oba tayagala genda malala jali..mali ya nyoko?". meaning " If you dont want to buy go, others are there will buy, is this your capital/ stock?". Many songs were sung after the 1972 kickout depicting that phrase/ quote.

Speaking as a black immigrant. Brampton is the first place and only thus far where I have experienced racism. It was the worst 2 years of living here...high car insurance cause they keep meeting in accidents...deliberately and by accident. They are nasty. Don't follow rules. Impose their own ways on everybody else. I'm not racist but they make me feel partial.

As someone who lived in Brampton for several years, I learned that in the Indian culture they must look out for their own first. As a Black person looking to rent a place, it was extremely disheartening (I’m experiencing racism from people darker than me?!). Eventually one landlord told me what was up - they must help their own people and essentially only rent to other Indian people. You see it in all the companies where you have an Indian hiring manager - they are biased to employing only their own. I was left no choice but to leave Brampton.

I remember back in the 70s people started calling that place Bramladesh , this isn't new , Misissauga, Markham , Vaughn , Pickering , all experienced rapid growth due to immigration from India , South Asia , China , Hong Kong ect. The old towns disapeared , the original and long time residents feel overwhelmed and unwelcome .

India had experienced a very bad situation when Western nations invaded and treated natives as slaves, imposed the "Hindu tax" on Indians, for about 1000 years, till 1947. It is estimated that English rulers looted over £45 trillion worth of wealth from India, in addition to priceless artefacts, precious stones, and cultural treasures stolen, many of which remain in the British Museum to this day. India was subjected to foreign rule for nearly a thousand years, culminating in English colonial rule. During this time, countless Indians were enslaved, shackled, and forcibly transported to distant English colonies to work as indentured labourers under inhumane conditions. " Hindu tax ' was imposed on every Indian, and English rulers collected the tax on gunpoint for centuries. Those who did not have money were used as slaves in English households.
Ancient India, once a beacon of knowledge and wisdom, was known as a subcontinent of learning and prosperity, contributing up to 38% of the world’s GDP at its height. For centuries, Indians struggled for their freedom, drawing strength from the timeless values of truth and non-violence embedded in our culture.
The freedom movement, led through non-violent resistance, ultimately led to India's independence in 1947. However, the residual grip of colonial influence continued until around 1956. By the end of colonial rule, India’s sacred and ancient universities had been dismantled, and the country—once among the richest—was reduced to one of the poorest nations in the world. Widespread poverty, illiteracy, disease, social divisions, and national humiliation were the tragic legacies of foreign rule.
If might and brawn continue to justify exploitation, it must be confronted with truth, non-violent justice, and a collective call for accountability.

I wouldn't like immigration to my country too and seing my way of life change...but we should give credit to the Sikhs who feed people free of charge...i experienced their generosity way back in 2005 in London when my friend took me along to a gurdwara,my first time . They don't ask any questions, they just feed and you will see people volunteering their services at preparing the food and someone else serving you...at least, they give back to society unlike some of the filthy rich who just want to hoard more and give nothing back . People don't realize that the world revolves on kind people and their generosity. If everyone was greedy, there would be nothing else to hoard and you can't even take it with you when your life ends. I guess it's just a matter of perspectives and your life experiences !

It's true though.
I couldn't get a job for over two years, I applied EVERYWHERE, they would say they're not hiring, then a week later I'll see a new worker or two being trained and guess what? they're indian/punjab (sorry, unsure all the proper terms of people or the differences).
Not to mention that they treat indigenous women the way they would back home.... Pretty much every person I know (I'm indigenous and have experienced it myself) has experienced some sort of harassment or assault or whateva with them... And yes, I know it's not all of them, I also know some great people that are indian/punjab but I'm not going to act like there isn't a problem.......
Then people think indigenous people get "hand outs"... I was broke for over two years, I tried welfare, it's not as easy as it seems to people lol
Also, I'm sure I'm wrong, but I always assumed Immigration was like... reserved for people that need it kind of like refugees.

Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

Yep. Nb here. My country is Unrecognizable! I live I'm a upper class area in a housing crisis. I have at least 500 immigrants in my neighborhood. Our schools are a mess. Our Canadian children have no help. I'm blown away bc I've never experienced anything like it. Tax payes pay this!

I agree with the these people's comments regarding the immigration issues. I've been Canadian for over 50 years and this is the worst I've seen or experienced here in this country. Why are we as major tax payers are forced to finance the lives of these people who are only here to take from us, not give back in any way for us who supported them coming in to feel it's been a good decision made by our government, from our pockets. They do also bring their war, stealing, lying, scamming with them, creating more division with us who were living peacefully before. There's so much more that I see and experience now, that makes me want to leave, and it shouldn't be me who leaves home for others who have no good intentions.

I am so happy people are starting to speak up. Sadly, I am changing. I am becoming angry. Angry at immigrants and the system. Am I becoming racist? Or just so lost at how things seem so wrong. My main upset is for my teen son. Turned 16 after Christmas. So excited about looking for a part-time job, earning some money, getting experiences and (unbeknownst to him ) expanding his social circle. This excitement came from me. LIke all us Canadians who remember our first part-time jobs (mine was at a McDonalds), I regaled my son in stories of that first part-time job. How much I learned from it, and the so many benefits it would have for me as I got older. He listened, and couldn't wait to turn 16. Also, like most parents, I raised him on the benefits of working hard in school, getting good grades, learning, getting involved, etc. Do these things son, and you will have a good future. He listened. Honours student all his life. Played on school teams. Performed in talent shows, Volunteered his time, etc., etc. Not a bad resume for a first time teen seeking a job. It is now heading into September. He has applied at all the traditional teen job hotspots, (all the fast food joints, grocery stores, drug stores, etc). Dozens of resumes, online and in-person applications. Not a single response. Then I walk into the local Burger King. Not a single Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, or Far Eastern employee. All East Indian (or Pakistani). Suddenly I am really noticing this trend everywhere, especially in the franchise fast food industry; especially upsetting when I even see it in a Harvey's (even more Canadian than Timmies). It's either East Indians or Arabs. I don't know for how long I have been hearing about diversity and fair hiring practices (which I have always supported); but to see this trend makes me furious. Are the owners of these franchise exempt from fair hiring practices? Are they not taught we are a diverse country? This is wrong. I want to finish with two sad situations which we should all be concerned about. When my eldest was looking for part-time work after the pandemic, he walked into a Mr. Submarine. He asked if he could leave his resume or fill out an application. The Arab cashier told him in broken English they were not hiring. As he was walking out, a young Arab man walked in. He approached the same cashier and asked for an application. She gave him one. WTF. My last comment, is the most concerning of all. My 16 year old, who works so hard at school, and at everything he does, recently commented, after yet another non-reply after handing out a slew of resumes, "Dad... what's the use of working so hard if I can't even get a job at McDonalds." I wonder how many other Canadian teens are feeling the same way. Not just white teens. Black, Hispanic, Indigenous and East Asian teens. Seems the broken English East Indian and Arab teens and young adults aren't asking themselves that. How long until my son thinks I am just spewing BS about this hard work thing? This is not about racism. This is about fair hiring practices, especially in more and more franchises; however, I do find myself listening to more and more of these videos, and find myself developing sucb negative feelings towards these two cultures. This is not Canadian. To be thinking this way, especially, is not Canadian. What do we do? Speak up, and we are racist. Stay quiet, and our teen kids move into adulthood without job experience, money put away, or just having a life experience that any of us over 30 (no matter our race) experienced. Something has to change; but I haven't a clue how to do that.

Brother JamCan, this whole thing was predictable decades ago! I got to Canada in 1995 right after hell unfolded in the country of a thousand hills! I saw with my own eyes & felt from personal experience how great my adopted country was! However, not everything was rosy! I saw and experienced the "not-in-your-face" anti-black racism, whether politically, socially, and most def in the employment market! At the same time, the establisment (read white folks) was busy encouraging & promoting east indians to take up leadership roles in all spheres of the society, thus making them the "model minority" in the country! This mess was bound to happen, and in the end, this is what got us here! My feeling is that white canada is totally responsible for this, and they should stop crying on TV, roll up their sleeves, and clean up the mess! Peace Out!

My son is Canadian born and a college graduate. He was a smart student and very hard working person but until now he couldn't find a job even at Tim Horton. I noticed that a lot of people who are working now are from India. They're the one who are getting experienced and etc. This is not fair to Canadians😢.

As a Ukrainian I can draw some parallels between putin's policy toward my country and Donald's policy toward Canada. \nWe experienced gas & oil Russian war against Ukraine\nDonald began tariff's war against Canada\nPutin sees my country as his domain \nDonald says openly exactly the same about Canada

My husband and I were both immigrants to Canada, he from S. Africa, I from the UK. I never experienced any discrimination. My busband was diagnosed with late stage bone cancer at 31 years old. The medical care was so good that he lived another 6 mostly happy years. We were supported by the Ontario Health Care system with visiting nurses, even housekeepers and received every help we could possibly need, at no cost to us. I will always be grateful for the love and support we received from Canadian friends, employers and the medical professionals. What a country! I am in Europe now but feel strongly that Canada, the EU, Britain, the wonderful Ukrainians (I know quite a few refugees) and other countries of good will should work together for a better world. We are a family and families support each other in difficult times. Americans welcome when they are ready.

He is calling him Donald ... JT doesn't have the stature or the assertiveness to act that way. For one thing, he is still just too young. Mr. Trump is older and very experienced and very knowledgeable and quite insightful. So that makes a difference. Please don't try to overdo your presentation, it does not work.

I am annoyed with CNN for turning this into a WAFFLE Soapy...At Last Trudeau has grown BALLS and he was presenting a Polite, Rational, Understandable, Logical, Factual explanation NOT only to AMERICA BUT more so to Canada and the World that Trump is NOT actually a SMART man but rather a deranged and dangerous illiterate with NO interest other than HIS EGO...SO CNN in your wisdom you ignored Trudeau's replies to questions from the press and gave oxygen to your WAFFLE MONGERS LIGHT WEIGHT comments.\n I have never been a supporter of wishy washy Trudeau....until this polite and measured presentation by him which was brilliant as an Educational tool not only for the American People BUT also for ALL of those ALLIES in the FREE World that TRUMP has absolutely NO RESPECT for and has been singularly responsible for the FREE World ALLIES to seriously rethink their allegiances with Chaotic America due to Donald's apparently Love affair with Putin as a fellow Dictator.\n America listen up.... The U.K./Europe are cranking up their home based on their door step DEFENSE INDUSTRIES etc which will be GREAT for Europe.... BUT not so GREAT for America''s employment going SOUTH.\n I was born in 1936 in the U.K. and have first hand experience of the TORTURE Ukraine is experiencing as the RESULT of Putin INVADING Ukraine....Donald and his Attack dog Vance are dangerous illiterates.

Trudeau you are a weak lying snake bending truth to your victim narrative. Trump put you on notice regarding tariffs and here we are. Do you think he is not a man of his word? Well you have now experienced that this is in fact the case first hand. You have taken from America with very little in return and these are the consequences of your woke agenda for Canada. Look at you spouting venom, dischord and anarchy from your pulpit. Trump is interested in econmic revival for America and if you are not on board you will fall by the wayside. Only smart leaders realise throwing insults at Trump will only weaken your countries position. Surely you realise Trump is one of the most persecuted people on the planet, unjustly so, and your rhetoric will fall on deaf ears in the whitehouse. They've heard all the nonsense before. But, continue throwing the insults, chuck your toys out the pram, if it makes you feel like a grownup. I don't fancy your chances though.

From Japan, to our friends in Canada.\n\nSurely, we in Japan will also be forced to face a trade war similar to what you, our Canadian friends, are experiencing.\nNo, perhaps it has already begun—perhaps we are merely on the verge of its full-scale escalation.\n\nCanadian friends, your leader has shown a resolute stance against the U.S. government. Please take pride in this. The American left will surely boo him harshly once again, but this is what a true statesman should be. With dignity and composure, he made a difficult decision—not because he wanted to, but because he had to—fully aware that it would bring pain to both nations’ citizens.\n\nCan our own Japanese leaders take such a firm and resolute stance? That, I do not know.\nBut I offer my deepest respect.\n\nAmerica is no longer a protective guardian to us.\nWe must defend our own nation by ourselves.\nThis has become clearer than ever.\n\nPeople of Canada, let us remain strong together.\n\nWith deepest respect and prayers from Japan.
