Let's imagine that the tariffs will actually be effective and three thousand companies from all over the world will come back. 3,000 companies will start producing, they need people. Where they pay American wages. These companies left because they could produce the product cheaper abroad and Americans could buy it cheaper. If all the companies come back, prices will increase by 30%. And 70 percent of the population will buy 30% more expensively. Inflation will run wild. Poverty will increase. What's the point of this?? The US has started an unsanctioned trade war against Canada. How is this different than what Russia is doing to Ukraine? The US needs to have sanctions slapped on them by the rest of the world like has been done to Russia.
