Why can’t the colleges/universities do a background check using the high fees they are charging!! They just want the money and fill up the seats.

Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre, wants Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to send back 4,900,000 newcomers whose visas expire in the next 13 months. \nMinister of Immigration Marc Miller wants to fast-track asylum refusals \n(to prevent the asylum system abuse). \n \nCanadians are VERY happy with IRCC's changes in 2024 (reductions & multifaceted investigations & deportations etc.). Canadians want: \n \n⦁\tNo more tribal hatreds & violence in CANADA, stemming from tribal hatreds occurring in foreign countries (the hater's ancestral home). \n⦁\tNo more foreign interference in Canadian elections. \n⦁\tNo more dealing with the repercussions caused by ghost consulting in foreign countries, after they targeted their own people (before they came to Canada). \n⦁\tNo more fraudulent acceptance letters created by foreign consultants and given to their own people (before they came to Canada). \n⦁\tNo more PRIVATE 'diploma mills' in British Columbia and Ontario. \n⦁\tNo more mass social media videos posted by foreigners advertising Canadian PR & visas & permits & schools & jobs etc., like they're selling shirts. Never posted in English (with no input from Canadians including Canadian colleges/universities). \n⦁\tNo more IELTS spouses in Canada. Anchor babies. \n⦁\tNo more Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals. With 'slumlords' charging way too much for rent. \n⦁\tNo more foreign protestors on Canadian streets demanding permanent residency, when they don't qualify for PR (which was never guaranteed). \n⦁\tNo more foreigners asking for Canadian asylum THAT THEY DON'T QUALIFY FOR. \n⦁\tNo more visas being used to illegally cross into the USA from Canada. \n⦁\tNo more social hierarchies popping up at Canadian workplaces that divides people into groups based on their ancestry, perceived purity or worthiness, and birth. \n⦁\tNo more tech support scams, phishing, and identity theft scams linked to foreign countries. \n⦁\tNo more major auto theft cartels shipping stolen car parts to lower Asia and northern Africa. And no more foreigners speed racing on Canadian streets causing injury and sometimes death. \n⦁\tNo more Canadian charity services being recklessly advertised on social media by foreign nationals (and not in English or French). \n⦁\tNo more dealing with those who won't blend to a country’s way of living, including rules and conduct norms. Unfortunately now, Canadians are dealing with far too many people from a very low-trust society. \n \nSupport the country you live in … or live in the country you support.

Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

Jeez we even have Indian international students protesting about failed grades at colleges/universities. Unbelievable

Unfortunately what people don't understand, is that college and university educations are kept low for domestic students because the schools are funded by thr government. \n\nHow about stop all government funding for colleges/universities and everyone pays their own tuition at fair market rates.

Tyler, thanks for your entertaining and fun videos. My grandfather is a dual citizen but has never renewed his passport or anything and when asked to do so, he outright refuses. He says he hated living there. We live in the Vancouver area of Canada right now. My wife is finishing her registered nursing degree and we are considering moving to washington state, within an hour or so of the Canadian border on temporary work visas (TN1) for a few years. The main reason is the cost of living differences, mostly in housing but a lot of things are cheaper down there too. For example though, the costs of rent or to buy a house in the Vancouver area is insane - 1.5 million is generally a starting point. The cost of a detached house south of the border between Bellingham and Blaine starts around $400,000 ($500,000 CDN). If renting, it's crazy cheaper than here. \n\nThe area we are considering going to is very close to the canadian border, I've never heard of major violence problems in the area. Like one of the other comments you read, we're basically considering moving there to take advantage of a lower cost of living and higher salaries for a bit to try to get ahead. Living in the Vancouver area is such an absolute DRAIN on our finances that it is intolerable. If we didn't move to the US, we'd have to find another place in Canada to go to, but we do like the climate on the coast here. I'd actually just keep commuting to Canada daily to work in Canada since it's so close to the border, and writing the bar exam to be able to practice law in any US state except California, Massachusets, or New York is a pain in the backside to even be able to write it, let alone prepare for it. Just easier for me to keep working here unless we decided to try to make a permanent move somewhere further from the border.\n\nIf we decided to change our minds and apply to stay in the US in the future, there are a lot of the other considerations that other people have raised on top of my own ability to continue as a lawyer. Gun violence in the US is crazy, extreme polarized political views and increasing intolerance against diversity of race, culture, religion, (and while it doesnt affect us directly, it bothers us how LGBTQ people are increasingly targeted with backwards policies and by certain segments of the public), the health care system in canada has it's problems but it's also got it's strong points. We'll never go bankrupt because of a health care issue since we can move back to Canada IF it's ever a problem. Thankfully we are all pretty healthy so it shouldn't be much of a problem for a while at least. And we wouldn't even move there at all if her employment as a nurse doesn't offer health care and better pay than she can obtain here. \n\nOur kids will probably attend post-secondary (college/university) in Canada as dual citizens unless they get a scholarship to a top US school. The costs of post-secondary in Canada appears to be much cheaper than in the US and we have some good colleges/universities that consistently rank high globally.

Is there a list of all the colleges/universities that are doing this?? Any of them that have dealt with these unregulated agents in India should have all credentials removed from them!!! I know that Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops BC does this as I was a student there and heard of all the stories!! TRU should be closed down!!!

This whole system needs an overhaul. Why is Canada recruiting so many international students just from India anyway? If there has been a need for housing/hostels for international students why doesn't the government tackle this. In Kenya private developers build studio apartments in areas with Colleges/Universities, this works out pretty well. A private space is better than strangers huddled up together

Government of Canada can do a lot to stop the exploitation: run Social media/TV/Print awareness campaigns in local languages in India to inform parents and students about studying in Canada, make it easy to search for programs and colleges/universities, and proactively work with the Government of India and provincial governments in Punjab, Gujarat etc.
