Excepting the US, the entire west, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Canada, Australia etc, is engaging the same precise nation wrecking migration policies. Ponder the concept - its a global plan. THAT is the hard part. Stretch your mind Lilley, you can do it. You would start to wonder whether its one arm of an overall decline of the west actual plan. Wreck energy, agriculture, public finances, flood the place with unvetted migrants to swamp the place, deride the history, promote shame, wreck the very concept of a family, de-industralize. Make us all poor, dependent, minorities in our own homeland. Keep gnawing away at free speech, arrest grandmas for posting why is the local hotel full of migrants who dont speak english? I'm a proud Canadian Immigrant of Indian origin. I came here to do specialized studies in Game Development. I took my time, and studied 6 years as an international student, paying 3x the tuition, sank $200,000 of hard earned money into the Canadian Education system — Not as a fast track gimmick to immigrate, but so I could achieve my dream as a Game Developer. This money was family income, earned on 1/4th the salary, taking 4x longer to save. I was a great privileged to me. Today 15 years later, no one would ever think I'm from India. I sound Canadian, I behave Canadian, I have Canadian values, and I am Canadian. I came here because I loved Canada. I would watch hours upon hours of indigenous history, and on my Citizenship day, I watched Juno Beach to celebrate. However I must say this... I suffered through s*icidal depression here for 8 years, because I had far less leverage here than in a developing country, and it's really telling what sort of situation we're all in... Rent caps in Canada were removed... The housing market was open to foreign investors / and real estate monopolies with a 20% year-on-year rise... Rents went from 1000$ to 2100$ MINIMUM for a 1 bedroom through Trudeau's term and the govt said "It's not a federal responsibility"... Auto insurance is like 2.5-3.5k a year in Ontario and if you get a dent, you pay a deductable... I was quoted 8500$ for two wisdom teeth surgeries while it costed me 260$ abroad... During Covid - property owners, banks, and grocery stores exploited our misery and made record profits!... The govt stopped filtering through it's immigrants with "interviews", and it's operating like a scam — "Bring all your foreign money, convert it to CAD, and keep our GDP stable.. while we neither have the infrastructure, nor the job market to support these numbers". I think some accountability is due... these issues are "symptoms", not the problem — The problem is our Liberal govt / policies, and our wonderful voting body who voted Liberal term after term after term while complaining. Why does this govt safeguard extremism, foreign politics, foreign separatism? Khalistanis are as much of a threat / nuance to India than it is to Canada, but in Canada they actually have a unrestricted platform. Instead of resenting immigrants, we need to start resenting how mismanaged Canada is by our govt, and hold our voting body accountable. We had a chance to vote differently, but once again a repackaged and rebranded Liberal term. Because my ethnicity is Indian, I've become an object of collective resentment / hatred, and I don't think that's fair.. Please direct it at your vote, and govt level policies. Why should I (and other's like me) be crucified with the sins of other immigrants? It's like hating all your neighbors in a burning building, when the management has been lighting the fire.

The only reason you can use the term Immigrant is because the govt issued visas. But that being said the govt fast tracked the usual immigrant process which takes months to years. So in actuality this is not legitimate immigrants. It's unlawful what the govt has done and therefore these people are immigrants under cover of law. Or color of law. It's defacto. I call them illegal migrants. Most are not doctors or engineers or trades people even. Most are young men from 19 to their 30's. According to Investigative Journalist Joshua Philipp of the Epoch Times, Through visiting Darian gap, he found UN tents helping illegal migrants to get to the US. But they had to pass through cartel territory. They had to pay the cartels a fee or die or be raped or both. Yes it's brutal some things but apparently before Obama left office he signed an international agreement to import people globally from mostly Islamic countries and create open borders. We see Chinese, and many people from different parts of South America and even Africa crossing to the US. A lot of whom end up in Canada. So before they cross into the US they toss their IDs Especially if they are from countries that are flagged by the US as questionable or terrorist possibilities. So this leads to a lot coming to Canada. I'm sure you heard of Roxham Rd crossing? It's officially closed but people still cross into Canada from the US going through there. There's also piles of IDs at that border crossing also. Anyways these open border policies has cut out in depth screening so we really don't know who is in Canada as true asylum seekers or immigrants. To add to this complexity, over 300,000 Canadian travel documents have been stolen from CBSA Canadian Border Services Agency. 280,000 of those were blank Canadian passports. SO we really don't know who's walking on Canadian soil. This was confirmed by Luc Sabourin a former CBSA agent. Why doesn't CNN do an interview live with a group of actual boarder agents on the frontline to allow them to express what they see everyday oh and ask them how many times the Biden administration made them stand down as they watched thousands enter illegally. Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. I think it was on NBC where they interviewed an immigrant family who came here illegally, but were given citizenship under Reagans amnesty program. The whole family, parents and kids voted Trump and support his deportation policy. When ask they admitted they had several relatives in the states who are here illegally, but they dont think Trump will deport them because they work and are productive. ?

This woman, who is marginalized, acts so proud that she supports trump and his divisive policies. It’s like interviewing your executioner and applauding when he’s hired.

I don't agree with the current immigration policies and don't agree with the high percentage of Indians immigrating here compared to other nationalities. Sikh temples are open to everyone and serve hot meals to everyone including the homeless. Love that the church is also providing for the homeless but lets show the entire picture and not frame Indians in a bad light.

I am reading the comments and it seems like most people commenting didn’t actually take the time to listen to the interview. He is calling out the government out for political and reactionary changes based on sliding poll numbers as opposed to a coherent immigration policy. He specifically says that this government allowed certain sectors to get addicted to temporary foreign workers. These changes are political as this government is more concerned with political survival than the needs of Canada and Canadians.

Take my interview.. I am an Indian who moved here from the States. I will give you a different perspective.. how I see that the local white population is getting screwed. And how immigrants are screwing themselves over.. how Canada is just a cheap outsourcing hub for USA.. the quality of people and work is garbage.. with very little money. The problem is immigration policy and housing policy were treated as separate. Yes, I know, how is this possible? Easy, incompetence. This problem was allowed to boil and that the kettle blew up the geniuses are scratching their ass wondering what went wrong. The government's answer, move the Minister of Immigration and make him Minister of Housing. This is akin to inviting the arsonist who was responsible for the fire to put it out. Absolutely on point. What the Arab world can do though is Demand sanctions on Israel and call out Israel’s brutality and call out the United States. They are still tiptoeing. I could comment the whole day about this interview abroad is abroad ..they have policies followed to the letter making it a far better place to relocate than sit with your money in a country full of corruption and frustration.

Why are these people being interviewed? There are millions of migrants and better vloggers than these two.\nThey didn't qualify for Australian PR I think. The Muslims of today are not like the once that I knew and lived with in the '60s and '70s in Iraq. The Arab Muslims were the best people. We Christians had no problem with our Muslim neighbors. Could you imagine living and working in a foreign country for a decade and a half and not know enough of the language to have an interview? Then he goes and finds out canada has even more restrictive immigration policies than the US. All while being a shining example of asylum abuse.
