It's unfair to focus our attention on just the Indians. Look into refugee applications from Iranians and Turks too, they number in the thousands. Iranians that can come to the country do not need to seek refuge from anything, the oppressed in Iran do not have the means to even buy a plane ticket to come here. Instead of relying on immigration, Canada should focus on innovation — create robots, invest in R&D, and encourage its own population to have more children. Your govt should also stop permit or spending public money on building temples, mosques, or any religious structures. Why do we even need them? As a Filipino studying in Canada, it’s kind of frustrating that a certain group of international students if you know, you know is ruining the immigration system, and the blame ends up on those of us who came here legally. Some Filipinos who chose to study here have already gone back to the Philippines because life here is difficult and we see no future anymore in Canada. Others have moved to the United States to work as nurses or to Singapore instead, because we realize that the money we invested in paperwork and tuition fees is no longer worth it. Meanwhile, we see many Indian students at school who only attend classes when there’s an exam or quiz.

Almost all students come to canada to stay here, mostly Indians. They are running away from their shit holes. Unfortunately they are making Canada a shit hole. High rents because of them as landlords giving one house to 10 students making small compartments making more money, thus high rents. No jobs for born Canadians because of them. Govt pays employer who hire students. Many came through fake marriages, fake documentation etc. Govt distributing PRs to them like hot cakes. Apply for US citizenship, it will take a little while for the paperwork to go through but eventually it will. Anybody with half a brain and a good attitude can earn a six figure income and keep 80% of it as take home pay after tax (graduated tax brackets and standard deduction averages your rate much lower). Add in our investment options and minimal tax on that and you'll realize paying for medical insurance and your own retirement is not a big deal in fact you end up with a lot more money doing it this way vs big government.

If I wanted to make money off the stock market and had no morals and had the power to cause it to crash, I would make sure it crashed hard by imposing tariffs. Then I would invest as many billions in the key stocks that will come back, and watch my billions turn into 10's or 100's of billions...\nThe other possible explanation could simply be that he wants all the critical minerals from Canada, Greenland, Ukraine for nothing. Canada and America should work together. Trudeau is the only one talking about a trade war. Think about that... We need to raise prices to all products going to USA on top of tariffs & consider not selling some products. We need to make relationships with other countries who support Canada. We have pressure minerals, and oils. Let them figure out how to get them when Canada steps back.

You need to realize what Trump's real agenda is. All he really wants is money. He wants to make himself and his rich buddies richer. His plan to do that is to cut government spending radically, and impose a sales tax to fleece American consumers. Once he's got the cash flow the way he wants, he will cut corporate tax and capital gains tax so that his companies and his investments can make a lot more money and so can his rich buddies, while still being able to pay off his lackeys in the senate and congress. That's it. It is that simple. Everything else is a distraction to make the media forget his real plan.

Canada has so much red tape its unbeleivable. I am trying to build a house right now and licences, permits, reports etc is taking MONTHS and THOUSANDS of dollars. I don't understand the comparison of housing debt to GDP ratio being relevant, other than as some kind of made up benchmark. GDP is an annual number, and mortgages last for decades. How is comparing these numbers directly a measure of anything other than the amount of money invested in mortgages has increased? I would think Household income to Household debt is a more useful measure, but then again, it doesn't capture the amount of capital people have in their homes.

It is in the interest of politicians to talk about lowering house prices (to avoid alienating non homeowners) but at best; only slowing the increase -property owners generally have more money, more voter turnout and thus political power...slashing the value of their biggest investment is probably a lousy campaign strategy.

I dont mind this ive noticed that in my work many of the foreign workers who are from Somalia work here in Canada only to buy land in there own country and basically put all canada $$ into another country as the money difference is a big difference. So canada should be looking into how many immigrants are working in canada and are simply taking there money and investing in other countries economys

Stick with XRP and BTC as much as you can guys. I am living in USA and I totally agree with you. Though I am not from India . But I have seen many of my Indian friends struggling in the USA and Canada. My advice to all of the Subcontinent ,stay in your country .if you have money, invest in your own country rather than to put yourself in jeopardy.

Put 100% tariffs on Tesla evs. That way it will hurt him more than putting tariffs on anyother product. Also allow Chinese evs on the market and see how he looses it. Elon musk has invested huge sum of money on the trump campaign. If he suffers so does Trump.

We are finally taking care of our own?‍♀️. Cannot believe we spend millions of dollars on people that are not citizens of this country?‍♀️?. But tax, abuse, and mistreat our own citizens. America was the stupidest, illogical place ever. Our citizens are in debt from trying to better themselves from a country they are born, and raised in. This fits Trump's narrative too well. CNN coverage has changed since ownership switched hands. We knew it would be gradual perceptive switch but it has indeed fallen from the standards of the past. Closer to a fox for the next caste up. You only know what you are shown. You work the same job and see the same people. If you watch the same news outlets you are exposing yourself to information crafted from the same perspective. My world is small vs reality and yours is too. Think about the decades of Americans trying to keep them out, investing money in walls and barriers and wire when we could have helped stabilize these countries to where these guys wouldn't feel like they HAD to come here to live with dignity. All To be treated like this. We have had decades to fix the problem acknowledge the root problem, but we spend our tax money, time, and efforts reapplying bandaids and barriers at the border.
