Just an FYI here, lived worked my entire adult life in Canada, 62 now and don't have a doctor, can't retire anytime soon, but my illegal immigrant neighbours get 80 thousand dollars per year and free EVERYTHING! I made 30 thousand working and paying for them...GAWD help us all that have put our entire lives into paying for other people and countries well being, maybe one day Canada will put me first and make sure I can afford to eat in this country

They come into our country under fake student visas, they just don't go to their classes. then work and steal our jobs and take up the affordable housing. The temporary worker program, which was mainly for farmers and other rural area businesses for the specific business they flew here for. They just get fired and work somewhere else, illegally and stay illegally. They come in by the thousands and congest our economy, traffic and housing market. Local youths can't find jobs. They just take the money they make and go back to India with it. They DO NOT assimilate to our culture and take over restaurants to the point where it feels like we're being forced to assimilate to them. The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. Surrey BC where I lived for 14 years, is just as bad as Brampton. They all own 1.6-2 million dollar houses in the suburbs of the city, all own businesses and all do the same shit as Brampton, circumvent the taxes. That’s the thanks we get for letting them here is to scam us so they can get rich quick while we all suffer and will never own a house by the looks of it. In Victoria BC where I live now, it’s gotten so bad that I can’t move out of my house I’ve been in for 4 years cuz I can’t find anything cheaper and this place is a 400sq ft 1 bedroom for $1850 a month. Can’t afford to do anything but survive while the immigrants all live like kings. There’s gotta be a line to not cross and that has been the case for too long where it’s been crossed for a long time and no one says or does anything about it out of fear of being called a racist. I would love to see videos of how europeans are invading the global south. My home country Kenya, so many Europeans and Americans moving there. They are also moving to Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Cape town in large numbers. We haven't even talked about Vietnam, Thailand etc. I want to see these videos. How they are destabilising our prices. How cost of living is going up because all these white people are moving to our countries. Come visit Australia (and particularly the big cities like Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane) and you'll find exactly the same thing here. We are in the middle of a huge immigration wave initiated by the socialist Labor government that is overwhelming infrastructure, housing supply & affordability and healthcare services. Driving standards have also decreased markedly and at the same time vehicle accident rates have risen exponentially, along with a steep and sustained increase in car insurance premiums in the time since this current immigration wave began after Covid due to increased accident rates and fraudulent insurance claims. Indians make up the second largest group of these new immigrants.

Why do they say we have one of the largest populations in the world. When their own country can't help the population with jobs, affordable housing, medical care, transportation system, over crowding due to population spike, overall provide better living back home. Yet every one of them tries to leave for other countries in the world for a better life. Then why grow the population so rapidly fast! Never understood that part. On the flip side sure grow your population if your country provides better life in terms of all those necessities. But pretty much other countries are baby sitting and raising them yet they brag were the second largest population. Doesn't make sense to brag about that!

You should have also inquired about the jobs here too. The stupid liberal government also makes it harder for us Canadians to get jobs. Hell, they buy up all the affordable housing, drive up prices. Turn great communities into shitholes. I didn't even know they had those big statues hanging around the city. I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

I figure all those living in any of the many violent inner-city neighborhoods in the US have reason to fear for their lives. Similar facts are true of many millions around the world, and most of them would be rejected by Canadian immigration because they'd be safe if they simply moved to places they can't afford.

Why do you let over a million a year come in the first place? We can't afford it. Close the border to immigration. When you realize your parenting is failing you don't make more kids.

30 + years in this city and i have seen the changes. I dont want to single out students but they are the main reason for it. Fake car insurances and expensive cars they cant afford. Results in my insurance being higher by default. Many students coming here and not studying but getting on trucks as soon as they get their license makes brampton one of if not the most city with trucking companies . Sheridan college with its low standards dooms the city. Multiculturalism is good but when people ruin that for others for their own cash grab methods makes this city extremely expensive to live in.

Here's my life in canada. denied work. I was born and raised in Brampton (but of South Asian descent via the Caribbean) and it pains me to see how the city has changed over the past 20 years. I was raised to be a proud Canadian and to be grateful for the opportunities that this country has afforded my family and I. I am a Canadian first, and Guyanese/Indian second. The issue I have with the city is that you have enclaves of ethnically homogenous people who refuse to assimilate - I once went into a Tim Hortons at Peter Robertson and Dixie, and was laughed at by the cashiers because I could not speak Hindi/Punjabi (despite being brown). There is nothing wrong with immigration - it makes the country stronger. HOWEVER, that only happens if the immigrants work to collectively advance the interests of the country and accept the rules/societal norms of the country they now call home. Instead, they find ways to circumvent/exploit the system - they are less interested on making society better, and more interested in individual advancement. I live in Professors Lake, which historically was one of the more affluent areas of the city. Now, there are several houses on my street that have essentially become boarding houses, divided into units of four with 10+ people living inside. I fully understand why white Canadians are feeling displaced, and it pains me that anti-immigrant sentiment has soured the way people look at me (despite being born in Canada).

Funny how everyone screams about immigrants and Indians ‘ruining Brampton,’ but no one bats an eye when billions of OUR tax dollars are shipped to Ukraine. The real issue isn’t people trying to make a living — it’s governments that failed to plan for housing, infrastructure, and affordability. Stop blaming immigrants for problems created by bad leadership. we get all the hate while working the jobs many young Canadians don’t even want to show up for. 8:30 I don't buy it. They say we "have" to increase population because Canada has an aging population? Why? What wpuld happen if we don't? Increased quality of life? More affordable cost of living? Workers actually being valued and needed instead of competing for not even enough jobs? Oooh, so scary. Whatever they thought would happen, I don't see how it could have been worse than what we have now. How is getting millions of Tim Hortons and Walmart workers helping the aging population? It doesn't. The explanations don't make sense. 9:25 bs!!! How could they possibly think this? Their position is that since there was a population explosion in the 40's, now every future generation has to explode their population as well, or else there will be too many old people? Come on. It's too ridiculous to take seriously. Now since the rate isn't the same as the 40's they decide let's just import from countries that are massively over populated.... and become more like them. Like... NO!!! This is not what I want from life or for our world.

Now think about how these Indians can even afford to buy these massive churches and temples. They make an average of like 2000 usd A YEAR IN INDIA. Even my small town in Ontario has multiple churches taken over by Indians. Hard to explain the anger when an old picture of your Grandfather you never met gets taken down and the church taken over in exhange for some Hindu bullshit. Also the sikh temple guy saying everything is the same - their culture is unbelievably different than any western culture. We are unfortunately just not the same and don't have the same values. Takes a lot for us Canadians to get this fed up with a foreigner. We have always been the most multicultural.

I am a born and raised Canadian. I have 3 boys that are 30, 25, 21, my 30 yr old recently went blind and is dealing with that in another province. My other 2 live at home with me, because none of us can afford to live on our own as we rent, and they can't find work anywhere. The government needs to fix the problems they have before bringing in new people. If your own people can't survive, why the hell are you bringing in more people. Up goes the crime rate, up goes homelessness. The worst part is most homeless people are born and bred Canadians, while the immigrants get jobs and housing pretty much handed to them. I don't think the prime minister should have been able to make the decision to bring more and more immigrants here with out asking the people.

The birth rates are low because no one can afford to have children because you make $21 an hour. $9 to live on can’t support children.

Canada is finito… if I truly could afford to, I would emigrate to another country for a better lifestyle for my kids. I can’t tell what it’s gonna be like in another 15-20 years. I can’t even afford to get my car fixed, which I use for business to make a living 🤦‍♂️ My problem isn’t with immigration - it’s more with crime, taxes, cost of living and the lack of making it easier for People to live and spend QUALITY time with our families. Our only hope to get rid of these parasites is for the US to annex us. Our government benefits from cutting our throats and they will never get rid of them. Even Pollievre is a globalist. In Canada we have foreign workers programs that allows businesses to hire foreigners and the liberal federal govt pays 1/3 of these foreigners salaries. So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. That's 100 % wrong to do that to people when they know they don't feel welcomed and want to go home. I'm a metis Canadian and I had to leave Ontario to find affordability and miss my home. So she doesn't quilify for benefits because she's making income to pay off her massive loan to do her job. It's not enough to live by as what she told me. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. Why not make it affordable for Canadian women to have more than 1 child? Why bring Muslim women who don't work or pay taxes while paying them $700 plus per child, to have several children and $1950 per adult...so a refugee family with 3 children gets $6000 to live on not even working...when 2 working Canadians often don't earn that each working full time and have to pay taxes and child care for each child they have.

Canadians can't afford to have babies. I don't know what makes the government or the immigrants they bring in think that, after the free government stipends and support ends, theyll be able to afford to have babies. They won't. I don't hate the immigrants themselves, but the way our country handles immigration. I'll be the first to admit it's getting harder to keep those two things separate. What compounds that hate is since I've been looking at moving out of this country... it's disheartening that most countries (rightfully so) make you have to be able to both assimilate and afford to fend for yourself to get a immigrants visa. And I guess Canada isn't enough of a shithole to get refugee status... yet. Like many Canadians now, I'm living cheque to cheque to make ends meet. My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

The sad reality is that if our government wasn't taxing our young Canadians to death from the moment they get started at attempting to build a future for themselves, the young Canadians would actually be putting thought into having children and starting families. But the reality is they can't afford it and everyone knows that our young Canadians don't make the list of government handouts. As a child immigrant to Canada, I am absolutely disgusted with what we've turned into and how easy it is for today's immigrants to come here, it's like spitting in the faces of immigrants like my parents and many others who had to work their asses off to be here and make a life for themselves and their kids. Every older generation immigrant I have spoken with says they feel like all of their sacrifice was for nothing. When we immigrated here, we kept our traditions, but we also embraced Canadian traditions and I passed our traditions onto my child, but she was raised Canadian and she embraces both. I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? I'm so sick of this country, I desperately want to leave ...I'm a immigrant and my parents came here in the glory days of the 70s, where people from other English speaking countries were given priority and were expected to fully integrate into Canadian society

Chaos, division, hard feelings & bitterness are his forté. \nThat’s the leader America has chosen over someone with common sense, intelligence, & who would have tried to unite the American ppl & create an economy that would be stable & help the majority of Americans because Kamala IS like the majority of Americans. She understands the struggle of trying to making a living when you’re not born into wealth like Trump was.\nHe can’t relate to the struggles of the average American family trying to earn enough to provide for their families. He’s never known that struggle. \nAnd why should he care if he causes ppl on both sides of the border to lose jobs, & consequently lose their homes? He’s rich. He can afford the higher costs of everything in both countries that he is initiating. He chose this trade war because he wants to take over Canada. \nWhat is wrong with Americans who thought voting him in AGAIN was a great idea over the common sense & economic stability Kamala Harris offered? He TOLD you he was going to do this. \nYou ppl who voted for him KNEW his past history. He’s a proven liar, a cheat, a fraud, a scammer, a sexist, a predator of vulnerable women, & a convicted felon..\nAnd more than anything else, he’s a BULLY! He uses his words with his bull horn & public media to speak against anyone who opposes him to try to subtly motivate his MAGA hounds to attack the ppl & their families that actually tell the truth about him. And then he steps aside & waits for his minions to respond & acts totally innocent as if he is not responsible because he did not directly tell them to go after the ppl he very purposely speaks hostile about. WAKE UP! He IS responsible because he knows very well his words have power to influence ppl to take action. \nAnd too many cowards in the Supreme Court & Republican party including his own VP Mike Pence were all too afraid to speak up against him. \nIf the majority of Americans want such a toxic person for leader, that’s America’s poor choice but Canada wants NO PART in his BS.\nHands off Canada because we WILL stand united & will support our governments efforts & the efforts of other Canadians to withstand against Trump’s bullying tactics.\nBUY CANADIAN!
