I was going through college in southern Ontario about half a decade ago. The faculty was alright but the one that always stuck with me was an elderly Indian man who had a PHd (what he was doing teaching at a community college, I'm not sure). He immigrated from India sometime in the 70's, I think, and sometimes told us stories about how he'd never seen electricity until he was well into adulthood. This was at the early stages of Indian mass immigration to the province, but the international students were already becoming a known problem in the school. They never spoke to anyone else, hung out in big groups together on campus, I swear most of them couldn't even speak English. They constantly cheated on everything and shared answers, I heard like 7 of them got failed for submitting identical lab reports one time. Most people knew they were a problem, but no one was comfortable saying anything. Except the Indian professor. He would publicly call them out for shit in class, berate them, shit talk them openly to other students. I've literally never seen anyone more angry about those Indian students than that Indian professor. It's not hard to see why, he busted his ass to immigrate to Canada, get work and get into a good university. He completed a doctorate, for Christ's sake. He didn't see a street light until he was 25, and worked his way to the bleeding edge of digital science. Now there's a bunch of lazy assholes invited in by the government brazenly trying to cheat their way to a degree in his goddamn class. I'd crash out too.

As a Canadian, I work in healthcare in the disability sector, and I am extremely frustrated with what I am seeing the Indian population taking over the sector. There are ongoing issues with Indians who cannot communicate clearly in English with clients. This has resulted in serious confusion and, on several occasions, situations escalating into violence. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, and this failure puts vulnerable clients at risk. Clients are not being provided with proper meals that meet their dietary needs. Instead, food is often prepared without consideration for the client’s usual diet, which has caused clients to become physically ill. On top of that, basic food safety practices are not being followed at all. To make matters worse, the company does not provide proper foodsafe training, despite it being a legal requirement. There are also major professionalism issues. Some Indians arrive late to work—sometimes by hours—and give excuses with no consequences. I have documented these incidents and reported them to upper management, yet nothing is done. During shifts, 90 percent of Indian staff sit in the office for long periods, leaving clients unattended except for basic cooking. This can go on for days until white staff are scheduled. One incident that really stood out involved a client returning from a doctor’s appointment. When I asked how it went, I was told the client “had something on his head” and needed to use a cream. When I asked what the condition was or whether it was contagious, the Indian staff member did not know what the word contagious meant let me remind you I work in health care. I later learned from the client’s mother that it was a fungal infection information that should have been clearly communicated immediately for everyone’s safety. I am exhausted by the lack of standards, accountability, and training in this workplace. If you are going to work in healthcare in Canada, you must be able to communicate effectively, follow food safety laws, show up on time, and provide proper care. Lowering standards for the Indian population puts vulnerable people at risk, and management allowing this is unacceptable. If your coming to Canada follow are values and beliefs are stay in India.

No one seemed too concerned when Indian students brought in so much money and revived some dead economies. No one blamed thousands of Punjabi businesses bringing in dollars into the economy. India, with its 150 billion people has s#!to eaters and people who can buy out Canada. You only see the bad. Press the government to bring in good people. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists, business people, who will add value to the country and generate you jobs and salaries and grow this country. Not cooks and drivers only. Khalistan and Pro-BJP factions are both bad outside India. They all should go back and let the peace loving Indians and Canadians live here in peace. I don't hate anyone, but just the people who make my home country and me look bad. We ain't that bad after all.

I am an African with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, and I can bet you bike guy doesn't have a high school diploma, but he wants to talk about the intelligence level of all Africans? I've written two books and contributed a chapter to a compendium on journalism in West Africa. While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense. I would like to see just one contribution from fatty to scholarship😂😂. We have way too many here it's creating resentment. It'd be like living in India but literally every place you went all u see is white ppl speaking English and not respecting Indians culture. Send all the African illegals over here to UK, our woke administration will put them all up in 4* hotels and pay for everything AND give them a mobile phone with free contract and immediate access to doctors etc. They've done it for hundreds of thousands so far, the rest of us British can go whistle when we need to see a doctor.

As far as healthcare goes the US is a 3rd world country, where, only the rich can afford to see a doctor, or visit a hospital. You have thousands of people living on the streets, with NO help, or concern. America is no different than Bangladesh, or Ethiopia, for having a part of your society living on the street, begging for food, or money. Seeing a doctor in the emergency depends on how urgent your situation is. In 2023, I broke my left humerus--the bone in the upper arm. My sister took me to Sacré-Coeur Hospital, which is a teaching hospital. At triage the nurses thought my shoulder was dislocated so they sent me for X-rays even before registration, and at the most, I waited about 20 minutes in the waiting room before I was sent to an examination room. When the emergency specialist came in, I told him about pain between my shoulder blades and a feeling of oppression in my chest. So in addition to dealing with my broken arm, he prescribed blood tests that revealed I had had a small heart attack, and he kept me ovrnight. The next day an angiogram was performed and the cardiologist installed two stents in my heart artery, and I spent two days and two nights in the cardiology unit. I don't dare to imagine how much that would have cost me in your country, but also, many people go to the emergency for things like the flu because they don't have a regular doctor to go to, and of course, for stuff like that you are going to wait a long time. Unless there aren't many patients ahead of you.

It’s not just food bank either, they all apply for welfare and immediately get assistance even though it takes months to get as a natural born citizen, and that’s even if you get it. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

Two Serious questions from a Canadian, \n1. If you pay for health insurance, why do you have to pay to see a doctor? \n2. If you have private health care insurance, how long of a wait do you have in the ER?

I am a senior and live in Vancouver, BC and my son who has dual citizenship lives in Seattle, WA. His wife and him will move back to Canada when he retires. I visit Seattle and enjoy going there. The shopping is great fun especially with all the big store headquarters being there and we can't forget Trader Joe's. I don't drink alcohol anymore, but the cost, volume and availability is crazy. He also lived in New York and lived a train ride away to the suburbs (great system) and was a lovely area to raise a family. Visited NYC and loved it. I've lived in Montreal and just love big cities. In saying all that, I think were all basically the same, however I could never permamentally live in the US. I can no longer afford the outrageous travel health insurance to travel to the USA because of my age and health issues. I have a primary doctor and four specialists that I see on a regular basis, waiting for a hip replacement and none has cost me a cent. Oh yes, I get free dental care. I wouldn't move to the states, but would sure like to visit again. Politics is a whole other subject.

All they see is Indian people working in tim hortons, So many Indian pharmacists in Canada, Doctors etc..But I guess that is the mindset they have developed.

??Canadians should be thriving but we are not. We should be working before visitors but it hasn’t been that way. Canada has been welcoming of others, to its citizens detriment. The medical system is a nightmare. Our citizens are dying because of wait times to see doctors and specialists. Once we do get in for appointments it is impossible to understand the doctors because of the accent and mix language. We need our Canada back.

I'm a newcomer, and I agree with the points, and I see that people are blaming immigrants in general, but they don't think in the structural flaws that we have in the government system, I found a shame the public transportation in some of the biggest cities and in other public services, and I found that could be easier the validation of diplomos, we have doctors and engineers driving uber, because they can't work in their profession, and I feel that they are putting limits in the immigrants from one side, but they have no limits in refugees, I understand that they need help but should have a limit that the structure can hold.

I am the best. I know more than doctors, scientists, economists, weather experts etc. I can fix the war in Ukraine and Israel on the first day. Let’s see how this stable genius can do it. I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. You are good neighbours, good people, you are welcome here and have helped build Canada in so many positive ways. ?

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

Our health care system has major problems in canada but i had to pay 0$ to have my child...i pay 0$ to see a doctor...i paid 0$ when i went to the hospital for massive abdomen pain...i paid 0$ to get stitches and a cast and paid 0$ to have them taken out...i didnt have to go through a 3rd party insurance where they might only cover a portion or find ways to not pay...ill take my healthcare over american any day unless im extremely rich

The quality of medical care is comparable between the 2 countries, however Americans still have a shorter life expectancy (compared to all other developed nations, not just Canada) because co-pays, deductibles, and insurance premiums keep people from getting earlier diagnosis’ that would save their lives. \n\nI find that Americans see Canadian healthcare through an American lens, thinking that we can only go to certain doctors, cannot get second opinions, or that the medical industry isn’t competitive but none of that is true. Our healthcare allows us to go to go anywhere and to get second opinions if needed. We pay zero out of pocket and never see a bill.
