Integration into the host society is crucial for immigration to work in society. I’m Ukrainian, and integrated in Canada in 53. Being European made it easier of course.

it's easier for European immigrants to assimilate because their culture is similiar! if you want to see white folks not assimilating just go to Asia and you'll see white folks who have lived there for 10-15 years and not even speak the local language! They change certain neighborhoods to "expat" neighborhoods with their bars and clubs and all that western garbage! This is not that different! If Indians immigrated to a south Asian country they would have no problem assimilating! These European immigrants of the olden days talk about their assimilation in to Canada as if they were assimilating into an entirely new culture. Please self reflect!

The illegal Europeans got to go to no more illegal immigrants y are the Europeans not being sent back and why is it easier for you and parents to require citizenship more than any other immigrant? its a war coming you can't even see it a lot of these white Nazi groups are from Europe?

So sad she does not realize Trump was talking about her, just because she is Mexican. He loves European immigrants. He married two of them.\n\n This country needs immigrants because the birthrate is not keeping up with the demand the workforce needs. Without them prices will go up. It should be easier for them to come here legally. Why do these old immigrants blame new immigrants instead of corporations who exploit the illegal immigrants.

It's time to just say the European settlers were easier to assimilate and Canada was better off before the immigration boom.

Come to the South. There is some racial segregation by neighborhoods (especially in the very rich and very poor), but there are tons of racially diverse neighborhoods. The most extreme examples of racial segregation are found in the North and the Coasts. Ask the average resident of Providence, RI how many black people they know or share a neighborhood with. I bet it's going to be on one hand and maybe even one digit. It doesn't surprise me that the races self-segregate up North, because that's how it's always been done. Even when the majority of immigrants were European, major American cities had Polish, Russian, German, Portuguese, and Italian neighborhoods. It's just easier to see now that we have a bunch of different skin colors represented.
