As an American, I've been trying to work out in Alberta as a Pipe Insulator for over five years with no response, but you guys let in other foreign nations. Canadian multiculturalism has changed. It used to be you came here and became a Canadian... While still bringing in bits from where you came from. Well a father and son in Toronto were just arrested for planning bad things. As a fairly liberal Canadian, immigration is the only subject that makes me move to the center-right politically. We don't have the ressources to feed, house and care for 1.5 million new people every year, much less the Canadians already here. Justin Trudeau has been hurting the country with his open door migration policy because he's too scared to lose his brownie points from the far left. Any other politician is too scared to say anything negative and concrete on immigration because it's considered political suicide, but the tide is changing with Canadians. We don't want anymore would be asylum seekers or foreign students working and overstaying their visas because WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES ANYMORE. Yes, our birth rates are too low and we need some immigration to help close the population decline gap that will eventually come, but it can't be a free for all. We can barely afford rent, groceries, healthcare, etc. now and I fear it will only get worse in the coming years. At this point, as an early 30 something year old, I will never own a home or even be able to move without dishing out 60-80% of my income for rent. None of this is viable long term, we're reaching the point of criticality

I read a statistic somewhere that %60 of Canadians age 18 to 60 live with their parents because they are either unemployed (like me) or can't afford to rent an apartment. I have currently been unemployed in Canada for the last year and I keep applying to jobs but have never gotten so much as an acknowledgement from any of the employers I have applied to. I only need another 10 months of experience with an employer to get my license to work on my own; and I can't do it! I am thinking of moving to the U.S.A. I just don't want to be unemployed anymore.

Amazing you can comment on a CBC news YouTube channel.. you cannot blame the huge influx of immagrants on just students coming here to learn... The federal government needs NEEDS NEEDS to shut down the flow of people coming here from everywhere.. we as a country cannot handle the sheer ammount that they want to bring in.. these people are brough here in the expectance of paying taxes.. but how many are getting their education and leaving for greener pastures? I am Canadian, I was born here in the 60's, I've travelled around the world, including the US but have always lived and worked in Canada. I love my country. saying that now....\nThe last 10 years for Canada has been the worst ever in history, our government has destroyed the foundation of what it means to be Canadian and has made this country look very bad on the world stage.\nEventually that will change. This currently gives reasons why a Canadian wants to move from Canada.\nYou are right about the US, there are places you can move to that offer quiet, country, safe living but like Canada, those places usually trade the good life for lack of opportunity.. the difference is most of Canada gives you the good life and opportunity in the same place. A good example, Billings Montana or Red Deer Alberta... if you compare the 2, they are close, but overall life in Red Deer would be better.\nCulture has changed thoughts too, I could never get used to seeing anyone other that law enforcement carrying a gun.. I think your video is well done. I used to love visiting the US especially the west and have fond memories of our travels .Now we don't travel to the US because of the gun violence and so many guns. Most Canadians don't want guns and think gun control should be very strict. I am very content with the way things are in Canada. We have high taxes but we have so many benefits, like maternity leave of 12 months or more. We have free healthcare with no premiums to pay. We have at least 2 government pensions , one we help contribute to and one is totally government funded plus a guarantee supplement if needed . Most people also have a company or union \npension . Most people retire between 60 to 65 years , but its certainly not compulsory. Canada is hoping to have a 4 day work week soon. Our federal government is generous helping with supplements for food etc. We welcome newcomers and we have a very diverse population. I have traveled to different parts of the world and I am very content here.

Just do one thing, limit number of international students to 60% - 70% in every college. And college cannot be started if rest 30% - 40% of seats for domestic students is not filled first. If any college wants to go for international students only, then their admission process/audit should go through Canadian government. So there is no exploitation of international students.
