Why is it so difficult to have reasonable conversations about this? Most of this video is completely true — but so many comments show love to that bike guy who was factually incorrect and pointlessly racist. But on the other hand, so many woke types don’t even want to admit the problem. They also don’t want to talk about how the government is complicit. Every nation has a right to define itself, and how much immigration it wants, and how that immigration happens. It is beyond ridiculous to not speak the primary language of the country you emigrate to. But why say weird shit like indians eat shit?? Or that 1.5 billion people are all the same? The rationale behind early immigration was to be very tough and selective about who enters and lives here. They welcomed students because it brought in a lot of revenue so that’s a win-win, but to LIVE they had to prove they were an asset to the community. Now the whole thing is manipulated. You don’t have proper vetting for the students because of fake colleges that just want to make money. You don’t have proper limits on immigration and criteria for jobs/skills because companies want to make money. Politicians just do whatever strategy gets votes. But for some reason people either only get woke about the positives of Indian immigrants or only negative, sometimes racist about them. It’s fair to acknowledge that rampant, unchecked immigration ruins the culture. Like Indian driving culture is fucking terrible. You don’t want to bring that shit over. You can also acknowledge that early immigrants and their kids are often completely American/Canadian, from their native language, accents, education, references etc. And that Indians are generally a low-crime, high-employment, high-tax-paying immigrant group. And we ALSO acknowledge that that’s changing because of the type/number of people coming in, and the financial and political incentives which support it. It causes valid resentment. I am an indian, genuinely speaking, when I came here back in 2023, I didn’t know there are so many people from one of the indian state called punjab. I’m from Canada originally, a big city on the west side, and growing up the mass migration became a huge issue. There were immigrants from Middle East establishing and taking over whole sections of the city with mosques, their food, shops. That would all be fine but the issue is the cultural mentality that was being imported. My high school was filled with young men. Some of them over 20 but attending my high school and hanging out with young girls. They would establish gangs and get into fights. There was multiple stabbings at that school. At the time I dated men from Pakistan for a while and they would throw trash on the ground out the window, have parties with young girls constantly, get into fights, street race, and just generally be belligerent.

We are encouraging fraudulent asylum seekers. Overhaul the whole system. There is no reason why Mexicans, Indians and those from functioning democracies should be allowed to seek asylum. Leave voluntarily or be removed forcibly with no prospect of future return.

I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Seeing the thumbnail and title of this video shows what kind of a person Tyler is. Without a proper research and understanding, he just made a video to appease people who hates on Indians. A good friend of mine lives in Northeast Calgary and I drove to her house right before Nick Shirley exposed all of the fraud in Minnesota. I'm only bringing that up so you understand where I'm coming from when I say this. I wasn't influenced by him finding these fraudulent daycares because this was prior to that. When I went to her house I had to Google maps it. Everybody in Calgary knows the Northeast is all Indian. As a matter of fact I counted how many people I saw that weren't Indian when I was there cuz I thought it was funny. I saw two white people and one Asian in the whole quarter of the city. When I got to her house I said to her why do you have so many businesses around your house it doesn't even make sense and then I showed her the Google maps and there had to be seven or eight daycares a trucking company and a bricklaying company and a drywall company. All of these businesses that don't have signs because I went and looked. These people are doing the same fraud here. This is what's killing our country. Our money is worthless because of them and they are taking all of the homes so homes are unaffordable for Canadians. On top of that they get into management and jobs and only hire their people and don't hire Canadians. We are under attack. It doesn't have to be somebody storming our beaches to attack us. I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. I think your title is incorrect, no political party is advocating for more immigration at the moment. The people who are advocating for more migration now have their own personal agendas, this does not represent the country as a whole. As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.
