Canada (and many other countries) spent decades supporting the maintenance of US hegemony. Look what it got us? To a position where we're pretty much greatly dependent on, and at the mercy of the US. We need to invest more in our own country and make our own products. We should also trade with other countries regardless of what the US thinks of those countries. Trump wants Canada to put tariffs on China in the attempt to further impede that country's economic growth so the US will remain the economic hegemony. We know that our president is a frigging idiot, but the fact he *noticeably* drops his language grade level when “talking directly to” Trump and says “we’ve done *big things*” twice and calls him a “very smart guy” and pulls it into a schoolyard metaphor of “two friends fighting.”\n\nI couldn’t wrap my head around how we got saddled with this joke of a human in 2016. \nCouldn’t fathom how it was close in 2020.\nWant to vomit every day that we allowed this deep, unchecked harm to befall us, our allies, and the entire world. \n\nI keep wanting to just wake up.\nI feel so insane that we seem to have literally no power to stop this, and that the *entirety* of the GOP is completely fine with this. They have the power, but truly with small margins. I find it ironic people are giving underhanded insults to Donald Trump by comparing how Trudeau speaks, yet I can almost guarantee those same people brag about how they refuse to listen to a word Donald Trump says. So its a really silly way to try to insult someone. Also just checked some of my stocks daily returns. Up over 2%. So he was wrong within the first 10 minutes. I suspect the market will become more bullish as some of the companies that have made deals to create factories in the US complete them and start churning out products made locally.
